  • Jesus existed only as an image in the heart of God, until such time as the prophets of the Old Testament could positively confess Jesus into existence through their constant prophecies. (Spirit, Soul, and Body; Tape #01-0601) [Note: This is one of the key belief of the false doctrine known as Modalism: www.bible.ca/trinity/]
  • Jesus has a beginning and an end. (What Happened From the Cross to the Throne, Tape #00-0303) [Note: This is one of the key belief of the false doctrine known as Modalism: www.bible.ca/trinity/]
  • Jesus has not remained the same, he has changed. (What Happened From the Cross to the Throne, Tape #00-0303)
  • He [Jesus] allowed the devil to drag Him into the depths of hell….He allowed Himself to come under Satan’s control…every demon in hell came down on Him to annihilate Him….They tortured Him beyond anything anybody had ever conceived. For three days He suffered everything there is to suffer. (The Price of It All, p3)
  • That Word of the living God went down into that pit of destruction and charged the spirit of Jesus with resurrection power! Suddenly His twisted, death-wracked spirit began to fill out and come back to life….Jesus was born again — the firstborn from the dead the Word calls Him — and He whipped the devil in his own backyard. (The Price of It All, p4-6.)
  • Jesus was dragged down into the bowels of Hell where He was beaten and bruised by Satan and his demons until Jesus could finally fight His way out of Hell 3 days later. (Classic Redemption, p.13) and (Believer’s Voice of Victory, September 11, 1991)
  • Jesus was reborn in the pits of hell.(What Happened From the Cross to the Throne, Tape #00-0303) and (Classic Redemption, p.13)
  • Satan conquered Jesus on the Cross and took His spirit to the dark regions of hell (Kenneth Copeland Reference Edition Bible, 1991, p129)
  • Jesus took on the nature of Satan when He was on the cross. (Jesus lost His divine nature). (Doctrinal Statement dated March 12, 1979) and (What Happened From the Cross to the Throne, Tape #00-0303)
  • The day that Jesus was crucified, God’s life, that eternal energy that was His from birth, moved out of Him and He accepted the very nature of death itself. (The Price of It All, Believer’s Voice of Victory, September 1991, p3)
  • Jesus had to give up His righteousness (The Incarnation, side 2.)
  • Jesus had to go through that same spiritual death in order to pay the price. Now it wasn’t the physical death on the cross that paid the price for sin, because if it had of been any prophet of God that had died for the last couple of thousand years before that could have paid that price. It wasn’t physical death anybody could do that. (What Satan Saw on the Day of Pentecost audio tape #020022)

He sure is, and what does this say about our modern-day "christian" and "church"?

Scary.
Perhaps it says that's why America is on death's door? One web site says Copeland is worth $300 MILLION.

This country is shot! And again, what's scary is that it's still probably the "best" country in the world. Lawdy lawdy lawdy.

The man is filthy rich!
Which could mean that there is a direct relationship between false teachings and becoming wealthy: And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you... (2 Pet 2:3)

The main problem with Copeland is he's a Word of Faither and his notoriety has helped the spread of Word of Faith false doctrine. Word of Faithers who aren't as extreme and who would distance themselves from Copeland nevertheless teach false doctrine.

The main problem? More than saying Jesus took on the nature of Satan and was reborn? He's saying Jesus was a sinner.

Well, that is obviously a serious false doctrine. But Copeland has been exposed as a fraud and most people don't take him seriously; however, his influence has spread in a multitude of ways.

I'm just saying, you may realize Copeland's a shyster, but don't be unaware of all the children he's spawned who are equally as dangerous; or maybe more so because they aren't as obvious as Copeland himself.

the problem isn't Copeland, the problem is that he is accepted and no-one does anything to stop him because people have no discernment. they lap up the demonic tripe like it is manna. Perhaps some might break free of it, but what kind of world do we live in where his falsehood is proclaimed as truth?

You're absolutely right. I met someone this week who said she was a Christian. One of the first things she mentioned that she was blessed by Kenneth Copeland.

If I lived near him, or saw him, I'd confront him face to face and demand that he not only stop with his false teachings, but step down as a "pastor."
