Does not nature itself teach you that if a man wears long hair it is a disgrace for him, but if a woman has long hair, it is her glory? For her hair is given to her for a covering.

Jesus did not found the additions to church doctrine that is in our organized church today. Jesus founded the church on the principles set by the Father, principles that God did not change but fulfilled.

These principles are clearly stated in the first five books of scripture. Christ clearly points out how he did not change them but fulfilled them, and clearly states all about the fulfillment.

The church only needs scripture and faith in scripture.
yep Jesus fulfilled the law of Moses certainly . It’s now fulfilled and we have the gospel that is our doctrine our only doctrine.

Moses le was a prophecy fulfilled by Jesus like all scripture. There’s no salvation unless we go to the gospel and believe the gospel.

The issues of the heart can only be corrected by conviction of the truth and only by one that seeks to follow the truth.
Deuteronomy 30:6 KJV - 6 "And the LORD thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live."

Romans 2:29 KJV - 29 "But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision [is that] of the heart, in the spirit, [and] not in the letter; whose praise [is] not of men, but of God."

Colossians 2:11 KJV - 11 "In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ"

Amen. Taking a stand can hurt but it is the only true thing to do. I took a stand and was forced or coerced to leave. I had no choice but to protect my family. One of the hardest things to do and filled with emotion I took my case to the leadership and I was blamed for division. My child was accused and seen as a threat with little facts and mostly assumptions. I defended him or in older terms his honor. To keep the peace and protect him, I chose to leave.
About four decades ago, I attended a church where the pastor wouldn't let his son attend youth group because he, for some wild reason, believed that was selling drugs to the other kids in the youth group. No one ever talked to me about it . . . no confrontation . . . just the exercise of a worldly attitude and mindset. Just . . . un . . . believable.

Good for you in not being a "man-pleaser."

As a young boy who paid the piano player of that church (by his parents) to be sent to live with the piano player, a process that they, the church leadership completely allowed, instead of helping my parents remain as my parents, the leadership of that church set me on a path of self-defense that only brought pain and misery. The plethora of non-Christian source of treatment from those people greatly affected my psychology, how I viewed myself, and definitely placed me into the roll of being the "Behavior Police" for decades. I was the "poor and oppressed" as described in the Bible, yet I was treated with scorn and ridicule. Those people, my own "church" leadership, treated me in a way that led me to wish that I were dead. I loved them; they hated me.

Are we talking about metaphorical bashing or actual bashing? Like a hammer, nail, into the door of the church?
We are talking about metaphorical bashing. If we want to go by biblical principles, then we can certainly expose individual false teachers and their teachings, but each church is directly accountable to Christ, not to all Christians. When we study the letters to the seven churches, Christ holds every individual in each church accountable, but not responsible for what was happening in other churches.

As to the time of Martin Luther and the Reformers, the church of Rome dominated all of Europe at that time and the kings of Europe kissed the pope's feet. So all Reformers were former Catholics, but they did not totally divest themselves of some of the practices and ideas of the Catholic church. In fact the Lutheran church remains very close to the Catholics in some of their teachings.

Using Martin Luther as an example I see nothing wrong with speaking truth to corruption no matter where it is.

The church only needs scripture and faith in scripture.
scripture tells us to go to Jesus and believe the gospel he preached and get baptized for remission of sins. Scripture won’t help if we don’t hear what it’s saying. AllOf scripture leads us to Jesus and his word and shouts believe !! so we can have eternal Life.

Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.

Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father: there is one that accuseth you, even Moses, in whom ye trust.

……For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me. But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?”

‭‭John‬ ‭5:39-40, 45-47‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Moses did write of Jesus many times but they wouldn’t hear it because it meant they had to accept his word as the authority even though they knew the law of Moses the messiahs word would be the one that mattered when he came

For anything to be “fulfilled “ it needs to be something God said was going to happen later , happening as he said it would . So This is something that Moses wrote of Jesus that was going to later be fulfilled by Jesus

The Lord thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me;

unto him ye shall hearken; According to all that thou desiredst of the Lord thy God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not hear again the voice of the Lord my God, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I die not.

I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him. And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.”
‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭18:15-16, 18-19‬ ‭KJV‬‬

that’s who Jesus is that’s only one example but he is the coming to odd of what shod said was going to happen later in the ot .

and all the prophets after Moses said the same things that the messiah and his word when he came is what mattered to God.

“But those things, which God before had shewed by the mouth of all his prophets, that Christ should suffer, he hath so fulfilled.

Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you:

Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.

For Moses truly said unto the fathers, “A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you. And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people. “

Yea, and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days.

…Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭3:18-24, 26‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Jesus is literally the fulfillment of all the promises of God for salvation and eternal Life coming to pass in the gospel when the messiah would come as the law and prophets foretold all along.

it’s all written before he came in the law of Moses ( the first 5 books ) the prophets and the psalms also are prophetic concerning Jesus

from johns birth and ministry before Jesus , the Jesus miraculous , birth his baptism , his receiving the Holy Spirit , his preaching the gospel the true and everlasting word of God , his miracles and love for the people , his suffering and being put to shame for our transgressions , the offering of his perfect soul for sin , his resurrection on the third day , his sending his disciples with his word , his true law from heaven into all nations fulfilling the word to Abraham to bless all nations his ascension to the throne , him sending the Holy Ghost out to believers in the world all Of it is in scripture before the gospel and himself is the fulfillment of it all.

It’s those things that were fulfilled “ Thou shalt not kill “ can’t be fulfilled it’s an instruction to a sinner not to do the evil they want to do.

Fulfillment means God said something was going to happen later and then It comes to pass later as he said it would. Jesus didn’t sin so that part doesn’t matter to him that’s for sinners and was never a promise meant to be fulfilled.

these things about Jesus everything about his first coming was fulfilled.

“And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me. Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,

And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭24:44-47‬ ‭KJV‬‬

It’s also like Peter preached what Paul preached

“Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come: That Christ should suffer, and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should shew light unto the people, and to the Gentiles.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭26:22-23‬ ‭KJV‬‬

the whole story and understanding is hidden in the law and prophets but the law of Moses has nothing to do with it now the pattern and shadow lead us to Christ he’s who matters now and the only way to be saved is through the gospel that fulfilled gods promises and gave us Jesus Christ the savior and lord

Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭4:12

the Bible is literally about Jesus whether the ot talking about when he comes to hear his word of salvation and light , or the epistles saying “ Jesus fulfilled the promises he’s the messiah and lord hear him and believe and be saved hes the one the law prophets and psalms said would come with life !!!”

Jesus founded creation , then later he came to be part of creation to redeem us
