amen it’s what the ot says about Christ the son of God that makes it so imperative and central they all knew the scriptures fairly well so they knew what it meant that the Christ had come israel had waited hundreds of years for him and all the salvation promises of his kingdom made through the law and prophets

if we only knew what the Old Testament said about him it would make sense to us all we realize eventually the Bible is about Jesus Christ from beginning to end

“Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God, (Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures,) Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh; And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead: By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name: Among whom are ye also the called of Jesus Christ:”
Romans 1:1-6
he’s like the sunlight in scripture. If we put all our faith in Jesus and his word and ability to do what he said and save us because we believe he is the one the ot promised , Christ the son of God ,who would come to save us , and he is the one the New Testament declares is our lord and savior who came as the ot witnessed he would were going to be saved without doubt it’s his own declaration from Moses to the prophets to the epistles to revelation
