With the advent of modern "prophets" and "apostles," all kinds of extra-Biblical teaching is finding its way into the mainstream.

These new "apostles" say: The old scriptures have lost their relevance; we can now proclaim new words from God that take priority over the old. But there's a problem. There are enough people around who know enough to reject this nonsense, so they have to act stealthily. To these unenlightened, ignorant holdovers they say: The Holy Spirit will never contradict the word of God. This sounds good but what do they really mean?

Us ignorant and uninformed Pharisees know the word of God has been delivered once and for all; it has a correct and an incorrect interpretation. I agree, the Holy Spirit will never do or say anything to contradict this.

But modern "apostles" and "prophets" are coming from an entirely different angle. If a "word" from the Spirit contradicts God's word the solution is simple, there must be a hidden meaning in the text. So they search and search looking for the "real" meaning, "always learning but never coming to a knowledge of the truth." In this manner they change, add to, and take away from God's true word, making it conform to them rather than conforming themselves to it.

So whenever you hear someone say, "The Holy Spirit will never contradict God's word," measure carefully where they're coming from and what they actually mean.

Wherever your sources are from, they sound plausable.
I would ask YOU though do they measure up to the Spirit's guidance in the word?
Are you conforming to this soothing word or are you being TRANSFORMED by the truth?

Please elaborate, I'm not sure what your point is.

One of the absolute worst new doctrines is by Copeland that "Jesus died spiritually", and was born again in Hell.

There's no question that's a false teaching. Have you seen or heard anything about how he justifies it from scripture? That would be interesting to know.

I worked with a man who sold Copeland tapes, so I can tell you a lot. It is worse than sickening!

No elaboration is really needed.

You state " new" age / apostles with a different meaning that has to be searched out.
I agree the word is written as it is written and only needs the leadership of the Holy Spirit to discern how to walk correctly!

If others are conforming the word to match their lifestyle oh boy.....
Scripture teaches us to be TRANSFORMED by the renewing of your mind, that ye may PROVE WHAT IS that GOOD and ACCEPTABLE, and PERFECT, WILL OF GOD. Rms12:12

it’s the gospel , Jesus word specifically The Holy Ghost preached the gospel and it will always be the same

“Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭24:35‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.

These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you. But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.”
‭‭John‬ ‭14:23-26‬ ‭

if we look closely Jesus was baptized and received the spirit from heaven and then the spirit preached the gospel

All of the modern day apostles and prophets (no quotes) who I know personally are open books. They don’t preach words based on feelings or conjecture but rely on the whole of the scriptures. All would rather remain silent than say something unfounded or erroneous. They have also, all of them, been proven by the fire of trials.

There is an audience for those who gin up crowds and make shows of religious fervor, but that’s because those people have no interest in the Truth and would rather experience an emotional high. Genuine apostles and prophets cannot be found either among the audience or in front of those cameras.

Well ---Don't know where you got this From -----guess he must have changed his theology lately ----cause what he says here is Bible Truth -------and I see nothing in here about him saying he died spiritually and was born again in Hell ------

So I say someone is spreading their own opinion about this man --they maybe don't like him mainly because of the wealth he has and they have a hard time seeing passed it ---just maybe they don't want to see passed it - --But here he preaches TRUTH ------and gives Scripture to back it up --NO strange Doctrine here that I see anyway

Jesus Overcame Death
Have you wondered what happened when Jesus overcame death on the cross, when He paid the ultimate price for humanity, died and then rose again?

So often when people picture Jesus, they envision Him still hanging on the cross. But that’s not the whole story. Jesus overcame death! Think about that: Jesus overcame death! From the point when

He died on the cross to the point when He rose again on the third day, important events happened. Psalm 88:6 says, “You have cast me into the lowest pit, in darkness, in the deeps.” Jesus took on every bit of The Curse: spiritual death, sickness, disease, poverty and lack.

He suffered it, so you wouldn’t have to. And the result? Deliverance, authority and blessing for you!

Checkout what else the Bible has to say about this timely subject: • “[Jesus said,] ‘The Father loves me because I sacrifice my life so I may take it back again. No one can take my life from me. I sacrifice it voluntarily. For I have the authority to lay it down when I want to and also to take it up again.

For this is what my Father has commanded.’” –John 10:17-18 • “Christ suffered for our sins once for all time. He never sinned, but he died for sinners to bring you safely home to God. He suffered physical death, but he was raised to life in the Spirit.

So he went and preached to the spirits in prison—those who disobeyed God long ago when God waited patiently while Noah was building his boat …

Now Christ has gone to heaven. He is seated in the place of honor next to God, and all the angels and authorities and powers accept his authority.” –1 Peter 3:18-22 Praise God! Jesus is no longer hanging on the cross. He has overcome death! He has overcome the curse! He is risen! Because of this historic act, you are no longer under the curse.

You are free from the penalty of sin, from sickness and disease and from lack of any kind. Jesus paid for all of that and more. He paid the price for you!

-------Truth Here Folks ------in this last statement he makes above -----and what he says is scriptural ------which I can provide if you wish --

Strange and dangerous Doctrine is being preach today in the Main Stream Churches -----Cause their Ministers are mostly unsaved ---

Here are some strange Doctrines that have crept in ---

The Gospel of Permissive Grace
Today, many preachers say that “God loves you unconditionally” and “God loves you just as you are.” Unconditional love is interpreted as unconditional acceptance of one’s lifestyle.
God does not love everyone in the same way. He loves His people, those who are “in Christ” unconditionally, even as He loves His Son (John 17:20–23). But this does not mean that God is always pleased with our conduct; nor does it mean that God does not discipline us for our waywardness

I say -----Many are being told that God's Love is enough to Save them ----- dangerous Doctrine

The Gospel of Social Justice
In the early twentieth century, many churches left off preaching the cross of Christ and replaced it with “doing good to their fellow man.” They justified their stance with verses from the Old Testament, such as “bring justice to the fatherless, plead the widow’s cause” (Isaiah 1:17) and similar texts in the New Testament, where Jesus taught that when we visit His followers in prison, we are visiting Him (Matthew 25:35–40). Social concerns replaced the finished work of Christ who died and rose again to save sinners, and the gospel of God saving us from sin was almost entirely neglected.

The Gospel of New Age Spirituality
Many younger evangelicals do not feel at home in church. They gravitate to groups where they can be personally involved in honest sharing, caring for the poor, and ongoing relationships. Predictable formal worship services that follow a script often lack the vitality some of them are looking for. They are a “seeking” generation and uncomfortable with being told what to believe but are committed to finding a faith that is right for them.
Despite many admirable qualities, this generation is open to seeking spiritual experiences independently of Bible doctrine.

The absurdity of this should be evident to anyone who knows anything about Gospel truth. "From such turn away".

Yes. Stealthily and not so stealthily. For several decades now, Christian bookstores have been flooded with false bibles and false teachings. And this is one of the most insidious ways of sowing seeds of spiritual confusion. Then there is a whole raft of televangelists/radio preachers who should not even be preaching or teaching. "The Bible Answer Man" is a good example of someone who should have stayed on the straight and narrow and went off the rails,

You make the claim that Kenneth made theses claims now prove it -----and also as said above in one post -----anyone knowing the Bible and that being said should run forest run from anyone preaching such nonsense -----many are duped because of their ignorance of Scripture -----Better you keep an EYE on your own MINISTER in your Local Church as WELL -----and know they preach Truth and NOT FALSE DOCTRINE -----which is being PREACHED in many LOCAL CHURCHES TODAY ------

So I await your giving me proof from a actual Sermon from Kenneth Copeland himself ---Proof of this from his own mouth -----and not some web sight that says he ---said these things ------
