Around the age of 30, I had been a life long Christian. I didn't know what spiritual warfare was other than going to prayer groups till I was engaged in spiritual warfare through God. The following is a brief introduction to Spiritual Warfare.

Introduction article

Article: Identifying strongholds

Part of Spiritual Warfare is a War of Words or a War of Thoughts.
  • We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. (2 Corinthians 10:5)
Phrasing a question a certain way, or using certain words in a particular way, someone may be working to frame someone’s thoughts. How does someone perceive God? How does someone perceive themselves?

I was a teacher at a middle school one day. There were students who were labeled “Bad Kids.” They tended to misbehave and act a certain way. The teachers may have been talking about them in the teachers lounge. The teachers tended to treat them like they were bad. This may be an example, on some level, of a stronghold being put on someone.

I have been a Substitute Teacher, I didn’t really care about my student’s past. I didn’t care about what other teachers said about them. For the next hour or so, they were my students. I have standards. They get a fresh start with me. They need to meet my standards. Some students had issues with self-perception. They believed that had to act a certain way. I adjusted their perception. They would behave…..or else. They do not have to be “Bad Kids.” They may choose to be outstanding and high speed students. This is one example. Anyone phrasing a question about God or religion or Christianity or something like gay marriage may be engaging in a Form, a Form like Plato, “The Forms,” a Form of Spiritual Warfare using their words in a particular way to frame someone’s thoughts and perspectives.

Oppression

On r/Christian many months ago, a young man stated he was having some problems, and was asking for help. He stated he had issues with wedgies. He thought about them constantly. He drew them. He had an obsession or fetish with wedgies. Given someone has studied Demonic Possession and Exorcism, that young man may have been Oppressed. He was being oppressed by some spirit. Why did he come to r/Christian? He may not have known all the details about how the spiritual works, but he may have perceived some of what was going on, and came asking for help.

Given I were to go to someplace like Atheist Republic Facebook Page, what is their fruit? The majority of their posts have been working to mock God and Christians. They have worked to frame people’s thoughts and perspectives. Many of them seem to have an unhealthy obsession with God and religion and Christianity. They should seek help? What they are doing is actually proof of demons and spirits given someone is researching the subject in an honest way. They would be engaging in Spiritual Warfare.

Christians need to be centered and focused on God. What is God’s plan and where are we going? The Kingdom of God. God gave Christians The Great Commission. The following video is more examples of how Spiritual Warfare has been used.

For example, two countries label each other as enemies, and then instill hatred value into each other's nationals under this label, which is the same as what you said about students being labeled as bad students.

The relationship between countries seems simple, but it is also part of Spiritual Warfare.

hatred Is an unrecognized emotion in the Bible.and Jesus told us we should love our enemy.Even if the enemy is not a Christian.

But it seems that both ordinary people and Christians seem to be used to the same and do not realize the seriousness of the problem.

Anger is also a devil's stronghold in this Spiritual Warfare.

When a person is angry with someone, it means that he can't forgive others,This kind of thing is very common in life. Anything can lead to someone's anger. However, learning to forgive is the key weapon to win in this Spiritual Warfare.

You know, every Christian is in this Spiritual Warfare. If we don't realize these simple questions about what the Bible teaches us, we will lose this battle.

What makes Christians different from others?
Hatred? Anger?
No,
Ephesians 4:2
With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;

Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭6:11-18‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Definately in a war it’s hard for us to take it seriously it seems like though . We’re always hearing about how we’re already saved and can never lose salvstion and how there’s no battle we’re in . Already over ect sad when the Bible says so much about it just wanted to add some scripture regarding the battle plan God bless

Manon..from your blog...what do you mean by God's magic if you don't mind

I continue my mental wresting with God. He had been sharing the numbers in the Bible with me, and how some of his magic worked. I was beaten down mentally till I did not care about any of that, and shown that I should just obey the Spirit.

oh yeah...quickfire Saturday

I am having a difficult time looking for a safe place to land.....every thread seems more contentious than usual...and that's saying alot

sure people know....but haven't you noticed that the more people handle the Bible, the more convinced some become of their expertise?

we are all in danger of that, and if you couple that with topical Bible study and myriad books on the subject of your interest....voila! an expert is born

what specifically are you referencing regarding the loftiness and heresy?

if you don't mind :)

Do people NOT KNOW ITS GOD'S WORD AND HIS WORK......
“Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,

According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.

For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.

Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall: For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know them, and be established in the present truth.”
‭‭2 Peter‬ ‭1:2-12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

Do all things without murmurings and disputings: That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭2:12-16‬ ‭

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.”
‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭5:8-9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

It’s definately his work in us but he’s teaching us to Will and do his good pleasure . That’s what saves us he’s changing our corrupt sinful Will and conforming it to Christs good pleasing Will in the gospel.

We eventually have to do our part and walk in the works Jesus set before us

“Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.

But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.”
‭‭James‬ ‭1:21-22‬ ‭KJV‬‬

We have to hear this part too

“And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭6:46

his work is to prepare people who believe him to overcome the devil in the world through his understanding that imparts faith

Totally agree and I'm not above rebuke, for there are times I get fleshy and say things that aren't spiritual nor covered in love. I get sideways myself but try not to act arrogantly all the times

An open rebuke is better than secret love.....thanks.

The Word Became Flesh
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life,[a] and the life was the light of men. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7 He came as a witness, to bear witness about the light, that all might believe through him. 8 He was not the light, but came to bear witness about the light.

9 The true light, which gives light to everyone, was coming into the world. 10 He was in the world, and the world was made through him, yet the world did not know him. 11 He came to his own,[b] and his own people[c] did not receive him. 12 But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, 13 who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.

14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son[d] from the Father, full of grace and truth. 15 (John bore witness about him, and cried out, “This was he of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me ranks before me, because he was before me.’”) 16 For from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace.[e] 17 For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. 18 No one has ever seen God; the only God,[f] who is at the Father's side,[g] he has made him known.

well I have come across the demon threads but missed where Eve was possessed in the garden...at least they did not spout Lilith as the first wife of Adam....or maybe confused her with Eve....didn't see the post

holier than thou...well someone has to be......we are not all on the same leg of the journey...draw the logical conclusion...actually. the truth is we are ALL at the same level of holiness and it is not our own :);)

anyway, sounds like business as usual round here these parts

Not at all was I rebuking you dearest sister. I’m agreeing with you it is Gods work , I was just elaborating on what the work in us is and where we’re heading

we need to stay where you are as far as who’s work it is I’m not suggesting we get away from that foundation at all

I was just elaborating on a concept that we’re still in a war or a struggle at times so we just do our best to remain in Christ and his ways and good graces

God is the savior we are the ones being saved but all I’m saying is part of what he’s done is told us things we didn’t know such as that we do have an active enemy in the world so we want to remain active in our diligent walk with Jesus because he’s the one who keeps us safe always

I don’t think I’ve ever thought of rebuking any person lol I need my own rebukes yet too often

with much love and respect dear sister God bless and keep you !!!! ❤️❤️

I am sorry it is such a struggle for you to remain in Christ

the Bible does not teach revolving door Christianity

unbiblical concepts such as that, is one of the reasons I do not interact with you. this, bothers you no end as you seek what I cannot give to you

I will not burden you further with intercepting your quagmire of quotes that do not reference anything a person can build on

nice intercept though in trying to discourage the 'sister' from interacting with me captain obvious

Just wanted to say you have the right attitude and I really enjoy reading your posts on here.

Manon..from your blog...what do you mean by God's magic if you don't mind

Where did you find that? I don't remember posting it unless it was around 2015 or so, and it is not linked to my profile. How deep did you run?

How do miracles work? Other than "Because God told them to," why did the prophets of the Bible do the things they did? How many Angels are there, and what exactly do they do?

There is Spiritual Law is not exactly The Laws of Moses.
  • Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers. The wicked are not so, but are like chaff that the wind drives away. (Psalms 1:1-4)
I have been living day to day. Did you know what I was going to do today? I didn't either other than server God.

You quoted a testimony, I believe I originally gave on Tumblr possibly. I have tended to free write things. A more refined version may be:

Post: Bible Study: "The Holy Grail" on /r/Bible.

As for numbers, the Temple of Jerusalem was destroyed twice on the 9th Jewish month of Av. There may be profound things to numbers and dates. Trying to calculate something may be like trying to calculate pi.

God is God you cannot control. Pagans made gods to try and control something.

The Lord is my shepherd, and I became aware of a lot of hard to handle things. The Truth hurts. Knowledge brings sorrow. Ignorance is bliss?

Amen...I don't think he was rebuking you, though.
no he wasn't

several people in this forum believe others are not saved if they do not speak in tongues, were not baptized in Jesus name only or had their sins forgiven by being immersed in water

I don't even remember when it was or what it was that set him off against me but I generally do not respond

in fact, I am surprised whatever it is, still continues to elicit interference in subtle or not so subtle ways.

Examples of Early Spiritual Warfare:

In Orthodox Icons, Jesus or the Saints, they have often been giving certain hand gestures. In Rome, those gestures may have had significance in people's minds in oratory. Someone learning the hand gestures may have used pagan/occult understandings towards remembering or memorizing them. In Christianity, said hand gestures were corrected with Christian understandings.

There are some concepts coming from this:

- Man is made in the image of God. The spiritual is a reflection. What is man reflecting?
- Satan was a Liar and a Thief.
- God is a creator. He created everything. It all belongs to God.

God may have had a purpose for everything. Given a Christian were to say "That is Pagan," said Christian would be wrong, and potentially giving something to Satan.

ManonFire63, post: 4767088, member: 220085"]Where did you find that? I don't remember posting it unless it was around 2015 or so, and it is not linked to my profile. How deep did you run?

you said it in a blog post. that's where I 'found' it

How do miracles work? Other than "Because God told them to," why did the prophets of the Bible do the things they did? How many Angels are there, and what exactly do they do?

uh...about the magic tho.......???

There is Spiritual Law is not exactly The Laws of Moses.
  • Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers. The wicked are not so, but are like chaff that the wind drives away. (Psalms 1:1-4)
my delight is in salvation and the One who saved me...not of myself...the law never saved anyone and still condemns those without Christ today

I have been living day to day. like the rest of us no doubt...can't live in the past and the future is not yet here

Did you know what I was going to do today? no. should I have? I only came across your posts today

I didn't either other than server God.

You quoted a testimony, I believe I originally gave on Tumblr possibly. I have tended to free write things. A more refined version may be:

nope. it was right here on CC. posted the link up top. I don't do all the social media stuff.

Post: Bible Study: "The Holy Grail" on /r/Bible.

what holy grail? there is no grail in scripture...although Monty Python attempted some humor with it

As for numbers, the Temple of Jerusalem was destroyed twice on the 9th Jewish month of Av. There may be profound things to numbers and dates. Trying to calculate something may be like trying to calculate pi.

so how far have you got with this pastime?

God is God you cannot control. Pagans made gods to try and control something.

do you ever feel controlled? God does not control people. nor lead them on pointless errands or have them run aground

The Lord is my shepherd, and I became aware of a lot of hard to handle things. The Truth hurts. Knowledge brings sorrow. Ignorance is bliss?

actually, scripture says the truth sets us free.

Jesus the Light of the World
(1 John 1:5–10)

12Once again, Jesus spoke to the people and said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows Me will never walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life.”

13So the Pharisees said to Him, “You are testifying about Yourself; Your testimony is not valid.”

14Jesus replied, “Even if I testify about Myself, My testimony is valid, because I know where I came from and where I am going. But you do not know where I came from or where I am going. 15You judge according to the flesh; I judge no one. 16But even if I do judge, My judgment is true, because I am not alone; I am with the Father who sent Me.e 17Even in your own Law it is written that the testimony of two men is valid.f 18I am One who testifies about Myself, and the Father, who sent Me, also testifies about Me.”

19“Where is Your Father?” they asked Him.

“You do not know Me or My Father,” Jesus answered. “If you knew Me, you would know My Father as well.”

20He spoke these words while teaching in the temple courts, near the treasury. Yet no one seized Him, because His hour had not yet come.

21Again He said to them, “I am going away, and you will look for Me, but you will die in your sin. Where I am going, you cannot come.”

22So the Jews began to ask, “Will He kill Himself, since He says, ‘Where I am going, you cannot come’?”

23Then He told them, “You are from below; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world. 24That is why I told you that you would die in your sins. For unless you believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.”

25“Who are You?” they asked.

“Just what I have been telling you from the beginning,” Jesus replied. 26“I have much to say about you and much to judge. But the One who sent Me is truthful, and what I have heard from Him, I tell the world.”

27They did not understand that He was telling them about the Father. 28So Jesus said, “When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am He, and that I do nothing on My own, but speak exactly what the Father has taught Me. 29He who sent Me is with Me. He has not left Me alone, because I always do what pleases Him.”

The Truth Will Set You Free
(2 John 1:4–6)

30As Jesus spoke these things, many believed in Him. 31So He said to the Jews who had believed Him, “If you continue in My word, you are truly My disciples. 32Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
John 8

Knowledge brings sorrow

no. knowledge is a good thing. here are some biblical examples

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction. Proverbs 1:7

For wisdom will come into your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul; Proverbs 2:10

Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but he who hates reproof is stupid. Proverbs 12:1

An intelligent heart acquires knowledge, and the ear of the wise seeks knowledge. Proverbs 18:15

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. James 1:5

For to one is given through the Spirit the utterance of wisdom, and to another the utterance of knowledge according to the same Spirit, I Corinthians 12:8

And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, Colossians 1:9
