Well it’s not a just a thought.

He actually DID IT!!!

Did you watch the video I posted?
Yes I watched it. He said Christmas was to celebrate the birth of Christ. That's probably better than nothing but I wouldn't call it "preaching Christ." At one point he says: "At Christmas we thank God for sending us His Son to bring peace to our souls and joy to the world." Peace to our souls yes, if we trust and obey Him. Just the fact that He was born doesn't automatically bring peace to anyone's soul. Jesus Himself said: "I did not come to bring peace but a sword."

What Trump did was not preaching Christ. He shared the true meaning of the season and said some things that were misleading as far as the gospel is concerned. Honestly, I think it's confusing for people to even associate Christ with the travesty that Christmas has become.

No not at all what I meant. My example was him giving the media a hay day because of how he phrased good guys in the Nazi protest. That could of been avoided if it was worded differently. This happened a lot. No sense in providing ammo when you have every tool to get what you want to say across in a prepared statement. In context you understood he meant there were good guys in the mix who wasn't Nazis.
If they have a hay day when he tells the truth, do you really think him being impolitic or clumsy in his speech is the problem?

Look at Biden and Psaki and Harris. They have said horrific things that the press just glosses over or ignores.

I was touched by the Lord's words in John 11:12 The disciples therefore said unto him, Lord, if he is fallen asleep, he will recover. 13 Now Jesus had spoken of his death: but they thought that he spake of taking rest in sleep. 14 Then Jesus therefore said unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead.

Some people think that our government is simply asleep and can be woken or "recover". I think that Trump did an honorable job and was the clear choice in the last election. However, I also think it doesn't matter, the US constitution, freedom of speech, and democracy are dead. The only way this will be recovered is with the Lord Jesus returning to execute judgement on the earth.

Whatever politicians do, they do it with consciousness of the cameras that are watching and the world that’s judging them. If they openly feud and blow a lot of hot air and bluster then that isn’t an accident. It’s all part of a show.

They never really completely destroy each other even when they have the chance because they’re all on the same boat. The truth is that the Democrats and Republicans need each other and they need the American people to remain divided.

Seems you have your pastor confused with your president. Don't recall either Bush "preaching Christ" and the younger is supposed to be evangelical isn't he? We had Obama, who said this isn't a Christian country. Trump mentioned God as much as any other president.

" At one point he says: "At Christmas we thank God for sending us His Son to bring peace to our souls and joy to the world." Peace to our souls yes, if we trust and obey Him. Just the fact that He was born doesn't automatically bring peace to anyone's soul. Jesus Himself said: "I did not come to bring peace but a sword."

So you expected him to deliver a message on the subject. Got it.

Again, he's not a preacher. He stood up more for the church than any other president. Christmas may be a travesty where you're from, but not where I am. We celebrate Christ as the true meaning of Christmas and we use that season to reach out even more to those that have little, are alone and need encouragement. If you let the world dictate how you view Christmas, or anything else for that matter, you'll be one sad, depressed person.[/QUOTE]

Probably right ...
It could be put on a respirator for a while.... but it is virtually impossible to deswampatize DC (made up word) They are not just imbedded ....the corruption is rooted and grounded.... Even if Trump were to fill the spot again, knowing what he knows and how to approach it, I don't know if he could do much more than skim the surface....
I don't think we give up or give in .....Let us fight to the end. If Trump is willing to do it again (and I certainly would not blame if he didn't want to) I'll have his back. Mike Pompeo is another viable contender I would certainly back....

I don't know about the need of it, but the Dems are so radical now that there is no way there can be any unity with them. Those days are long gone.

So you think having Trump in office will increase opportunities for Christ to be preached. That's rich.

Didn't he bring back the prayer breakfast after Obama cancelled it? There's an opportunity.

The term Dems is too radical, Maher seems rational. I think there are many who identify as Dems based on what they thought the policies were but are now realizing they have been lied to.

I'm sorry, but when YOUR OWN sycophants, judges, and audits all say you have no case then YOU HAVE NO CASE. And to persist in telling proven lies as truth is NOT A CHRISTIAN VALUE.

God told us a lot about the end of this age, putting parts of the puzzle into most every book in the Bible. He did not want us to be ignorant of that time. And He told us that even tho no one would know the day or time, we would know the season.

The things He speaks about – sexual immorality, atheism and polytheism, a wholesale turn of the people away from Him, love growing cold, right and wrong trading places in the world … every generation since Christ ascended has thought they were seeing it, and to a degree they are right. Think about the arrogant farmer, God told him his rapture was to be that night. God’s Word is eternal and reverberates thru time, that’s what’s behind history repeating itself. So what comes in the end is nothing new … it’s just on a larger scale than ever before.

There’s a large and well-known group of people who are being used to advance these conditions. They abandon personal responsibility and enable the lazy, they promote the indiscriminate killing of the unborn, they push government control over the population. There’s no doubting who has a hand in their activities, only the true enemy of God could be driving all these towards the same end at the same time.

Someone ought to step up and stop them!

Except you can’t.

Go back to what God says the world will end up like – God, Who wants us to not be ignorant, tells us repeatedly that in the world, they win. Let me say that again, God wants us to know that in the world, THEY WIN.

So que sera sera? Just stuff your fingers in your ears and sit on your hands because they win. Funny, I thought the back of the Book says "WE win"!!

But someone should step up and stop them!

So there arises an opposition party, who claims God’s Name and opposes abortion and enablement and the loss of freedom. By god they’re stepping up to stop the godless horde. We ought to join them, and do all we can to …

… Prevent the world from ending up the way God says it will end up.

If that ain’t a fruitless effort I don’t know what is.. But here’s the insidious part … while group 2 has you expending your effort to fight a worldly battle against abortion enablement and the taking of freedom, they also have you turning a blind eye to the myriad of God’s Truths group 2 themselves are promoting.
60 million unborn children, not worth the fight in your eyes? You don't think that's a band wagon we should be on? Just let the world go to hell in a handbasket and forget about it. Wow, I'm glad the missions and people God called into the ministry didn't have that attitude. One of the main women in the abortion industry became a born again Christian and now fights for the lives she once believed didn't have the right to live. Even made a movie about it. But saved childrens lives, not our fight huh?

Mammon worship.
Self-idolatry.
Lies, hypocrisy, and deceit.
The abandonment of the sick, poor, and truly needy.

See, abortion is worse than all of these, so we can turn a blind eye and let these slide while we engage in worldly work to stop that one thing (or those three). Except no, we can’t. To play ignorant about the violation of His Truths, in the face of God’s effort to ensure that we are not, is just … well, I don’t know what word to put on it.
I can't believe that came out the mouth of a Christian. The murder of 60 million children isn't the most important issue? That's the population of Canada. You don't think that should be mission number one?? Wow! That's stunning. Helping the poor and the needy?! You mean by keeping them on the dool and under gov't control?! When Obama came in he preached "hope and change" especially for the blacks. And you know what, go to that poor section in town with the little 1950s houses falling down, those people are STILL there!! If anyone has hurt, damaged and demolished the black family it's the Dems, and second to that, they've done the same to the middle class. They are doing it RIGHT NOW! Dems help no one but themselves. smh

So then we are to do nothing? Abso-God-lutely not. We are to direct our efforts to the right place. We cannot expect to change the course of the world. But we CAN change the course of individual lives. Instead pf preaching at the podium for our elected officials to do something about baby killing, why don’t we spend those 3 hours at a clinic, offering coffee and an ear (not a judgement but an ear) to those who are considering it. If we talk to three people and one turns back, then we’ve done more than all the time before agenda-driven pawns will ever accomplish. And you’ve accomplished God’s Truth, instead of wasting time in the matrix.
We can and should do both. 60 million pre- born lives depend on it. Let's not be so arrogant as to think there is only one way to reach the lost. All kinds of Christians in the political field doing their best, we have a young married couple in our church involved and serving in politics. How about that? There is more than one way to reach out and maybe you do you and do what God lays on your heart and let others do the same?!

And all that time you spent storming the buildings? That’s time better spent storming your knees. Knowing that one engages the battle in the spiritual, and the other is straining at gnats.
So to you there is no fight a Christian should take part it. And I mean "fight" as to standing up against evil. Do you have children?! Do you think boys in girls bathrooms, we should just let that slide? Transvestites reading to children, just let it be? Let's go back in history, should children be working sweat shops? That was stopped in the US but still happens around the world. What about slavery? Should we have folded our hands? The Jews? Should we just pray and use that as an excuse to do nothing else? I don't think Dietrich Bonhoeffer would have agreed with that.

The Jews thought their Messiah was going to be a political figure who’d save them from godless Romans.

Are you looking for a political figure to save you from godless liberals?

You’re looking in the wrong direction.
Nope, I'm looking for a politican who's going to stand for what I stand for. That's why I hired him for the job. When stops doing that job, he's fired. I expect them to vote against what I do. I don't expect him to call me a terrorist because I don't want my child taught racism in school, if I had children. I don't want my nephews taught it either. Hey, if you want to sit and pray that's great but don't get down on others that get in the action. If more Christians ran for office we'd be seeing more of what we want to see in this country.

The truth is that the Democrats and Republicans need each other and they need the American people to remain divided
And that is exactly why back in 2016 Trump should have ushered in a new and distinct political party -- by whatever name -- to achieve his objectives (as originally laid out). All those conservatives who were supporting RINOs for lack of an alternative would have joined the new party and the RINOs would have been history. But Trump had to make sure he kept his promises.

No, you won't.

Oh well, I did my part. Your ignorance of scripture is now on you.

You know what I really find funny about CC? How many people tell me I'm not a Christian and don't know the Bible. Something my father has always said to me "You can't tell someone something who says "God told me"." CC is an excellent example of that. Everyone has a message, everyone knows better, no one wants to listen. Why waste the breath. It's arrogant.

Oh I know you are a Christian and hold to the Bible. But I also believe that like many, you choose to ignore parts that don't agree with your politics. Hey, none of us are perfect. But only a few are willing to acknowledge - and try to change - that.

Bless you sister.

One guy here coined a term for that new political party - "Conservative anarchy".

I don't see conservativism as a part of Christianity. I've done a lot of evangelism, for years, and that had very little to do with politics. But I'm saying there are times the two intertwine and we as Christians have to take a side and stand along with prayer. Slavery ended because Christians got politically involved. And there are many other times that has happened. That was the point I was trying to make. And the more Christians who run for office and win, the better the country will be.
