It's where I'm at right now....
The Weight
I feel the pain, aches, groans
of my bones, deep to my soul.
My soul which I have tarnished
that which I have burdened so heavily
I am bent and old from carrying the weight
for so long -- yet I'm so young
I set it down, leave it behind, give it away
With shakey hands and stumbling feet
I fight to stay on the clear path
I'm tired of the dark, hiding
hiding from the weight
hiding from my tarnished soul
I know there's light
I've been there
Yet with shakey hands and stumbling feet
I fall out of the light
Only to fight the weight
to be back in the light
