Status of the Great Commission: The Task Remaining.

One of the Most Important Commands of Our Lord Jesus Christ is His Great Commission to His Apostles, to spread the Gospel to All Nations:

"18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto Me in heaven and in earth.
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen."

After 2000 years, the state of things is like this. The World's Population has nearly touched 8 billion. Christians are around 32% or 1/3 at about 2.5 BN. The number of Non-Christians is nearly 5.5 BN, the greatest it has ever been in history. In 1900, the world's population was around 2 BN, Christians were around 650 MN, again close to 1/3rd, but non-Christians were only around 1.35 BN. Christianity has lost ground over the last century.

Going forward, in the absence of great Evangelism Efforts to turn the tide, it is projected that Christianity will grow even slower, to only around 3 BN by nearly 2050, when the world's population is expected to touch 10 BN. Thus, a decline to about 30%. We have to Pray and Work to win Souls for Christ.

In the below Video, it is explained that much of "Missions Giving" actually unfortunately goes to Christian denominational rivalry rather than winning non-Christians, which is tragic. Many have said the Christian Church now finally has the resources to reach the world: what is needed is the willingness.

What season are we in? Do you believe we are still in the season for 'growing the church'?

I think we need to apply what is written to what is taking place so we can know where we stand and act accordingly. By your very own admission the Church is no longer 'growing'. Is it from a lack of man power, wish want and desire or is it from a leading of the Holy Spirit into the end times?

I will just note a couple of things that make me question if we have 'left' that season and entered into an new one.

The prophecy of Leviticus was finally fulfilled in 1948. That is a 2250 or 2520 year old prophecy and certainly sets the time for the parable of the fig tree.

What else were we told? wars rumors of wars nations and kingdoms against each other famine, pestilences earth quakes. Notice any of those things happening around the world today?

Have you noticed that iniquity is abounding and the love of many shall waxing cold?

How about hearing or even talking with many false prophets who are deceiving many?

Amos 8:11 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD 12 And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the LORD, and shall not find it.


Daniel 12:4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

And that, to me al least, is one of the biggest signs I myself can see. I feel like I am living in a world that I no longer know how it works, and it only gets worse every day.


I am just waiting for a deadly wound (an earthquake?) which I think will 'set the spot light' on the beast we are watching come together and starting to rule and with that, the 'signs and wonders' and the image set up and....


I think you are right on point with the 'churches' demise. The falling away that will culminate with the deception the whole world will fall for.

So what are we to be doing during these times?
