As I read the Bible there is 1,000 years of Peace on the Earth before the Battle of Armageddon when the Devil and his armies are Destroyed.
The Bible also says that God so loved the world that He gave his only Son, Why would God give His only Son to a world He so loved, just to destroy the Earth?
Also the one that wants to destroy the World is the Devil, not God.

Because He is predominantly concerned about the welfare of us human beings that He created in His likeness, and not about material things. If Adam and Eve had done what they were told, we wouldn't necessarily be being confronted by the earth's and our pending demise. He passed sentence on all of His creation at that time, and literally put it on a burn notice, with a plan that He will eventually start it all anew and populate it with the few that have received the gift of faith and have accepted the Lordship of Jesus.

The answer to this question can only be found by yourself. Any answer given to you by others is not an answer that can convince you. Ask God for help. God will answer your questions. Trust me.

The Battle of Armageddon takes place BEFORE the 1,000 years. It is the Battle of Gog and Magog which is AFTER the 1,000 reign of Christ.
The Bible also says that God so loved the world that He gave his only Son, Why would God give His only Son to a world He so loved, just to destroy the Earth?
1. God gave His only begotten Son for the salvation of souls.
2. God will destroy (burn up) the earth in order create a New Heavens and a New Earth.
3. Before that there will be very severe and destructive divine judgments on the unbelieving, the wicked, and the ungodly as noted in Revelation.
Also the one that wants to destroy the World is the Devil, not God.
Yes. Satan wants to destroy people, and he is doing it daily in many different ways. But God wants to save people by His grace.

So the "doom and gloom" is only for those who do not receive Christ as Lord and Savior.

I just read 1st and 2ND Peter. The apostle Peter would not agree with your assessment of things to come.

Well there are a few things to consider. In the Bible when destruction of a global level is being used it’s always being used in a non literal way. But there is just one other section you need to consider.

Isaiah 65:17-25
New American Standard Bible
New Heavens and a New Earth
17 “For behold, I create (A)new heavens and a new earth;
And the (B)former things will not be remembered or come to [a]mind.
18 But be (C)glad and rejoice forever in what I create;
For behold, I create Jerusalem for rejoicing
And her people for gladness.
19 I will also (D)rejoice in Jerusalem and be glad in My people;
And there will no longer be heard in her
The voice of (E)weeping and the sound of crying.
20 No longer will there be in it an infant who lives only a few days,
Or an old person who does (F)not [c]live out his days;
For the youth will die at the age of a hundred,
And the [d](G)one who does not reach the age of a hundred
Will be thought accursed.
21 They will (H)build houses and inhabit them;
They will also (I)plant vineyards and eat their fruit.
22 They will not build and (J)another inhabit,
They will not plant and another eat;
For (K)as the [e]lifetime of a tree, so will be the days of My people,
And My chosen ones will (L)fully enjoy the work of their hands.
23 They will (M)not labor in vain,
Or give birth to children for disaster;
For they are the [f](N)descendants of those blessed by the Lord,
And their descendants with them.
24 It will also come to pass that before they call, I will (O)answer; while they are still speaking, I will listen. 25 The (P)wolf and the lamb will graze together, and the (Q)lion will eat straw like the ox; and (R)dust will be the serpent’s food. They will (S)do no evil or harm on all My (T)holy mountain,” says the Lord.

Here you’ll notice that it also says the world will be destroyed, recreated and ect…. It mentions though that in this new heaven and earth babies will still be born and men will live to a old age.

There is some other similar passages we can look at.

Isaiah 34:8-10
New American Standard Bible
8 For the Lord has a day of vengeance,
A year of retribution for the cause of Zion.
9 Edom’s streams will be turned into pitch,
And its loose earth into brimstone,
And its land will become burning pitch.
10 It will not be extinguished night or day;
Its smoke will go up forever.
From generation to generation it will be desolate;
None will pass through it forever and ever.

Here it says this about Edom but Edom has people living in it now.

There are two fantastic works on this subject by actual scholars. One is a book by NT Wright called “ surprised by hope “ and the other is a podcast series by Dr. Tim Mackie through on The Bible Project about this.

https://bibleproject.com/podcast/series/heaven-earth-series/

Also their blog.

Some key worlds to look up in your studies is “‘restoration theology”.

Christians have fallen into the same mistake the Jews made, when Messiah comes He will destroy everyone. He comes to restore ... that the rest of mankind can come in.

He will put down all powers and authorities and He will put His enemies under His feet. But the people will flock to Jerusalem to learn the ways of the God of Jacob. And nations will learn war no more.
