God very clearly tells us that satan will deceive the world and lead it away from Jehovah God. And we can see that happening very clearly today, being led by the liberal left agenda. Their promotion of a/polytheism, their embrace of sexual immorality, their abandonment of personal responsibility – which includes abortion – Yes, any awake Christian can clearly see that the leftist ideology is a tool of satan to deceive the world. And that it’s working. The world has been deceived.
But God says it’s not just the world that will be deceived, that even His Own will be drawn and turned away from His Truth. But His Own aren’t being deceived by the left, they see that for what it is. So what then could deceive them?
It’s said that the enemy of my enemy is my friend.
A group that stands against abortion, and against enablement, and for personal responsibility sure sounds like they would be our friend. They’d be easy to rally around, especially if they say they are of God’s Own. But God says many of those who claim to be of His Own, actually aren’t. That they will be lovers of mammon, unrighteous to their servants, they will be self-idolators, and entangled in lies and deceit. None of which are of Godly principles, any more than the unGodly principles of the left.
So maybe the enemy of my enemy is not my friend.
The fight we fight must be fought in the Name of Jesus, not conservatism. For one Name holds the Truth of God, the other, a truth born of this world. We were warned not to be deceived away from the first by the second.
The left deceives the world. The right deceives God’s People. The armor we do battle in should not bear the insignia of either.
