Wrong post for your reply.
You are all missing the point. Genesis 2: 15And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it. 16And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: 17But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
God made it clear to Adam that the tree of the knowledge of good and evil was not to be eaten of.
Genesis 2:24Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
It was Adams responsibility to let Eve know what God had told him before she was created. I am sure he did because of his response in chapter 3:12 It was the womans fault she tricked me into eating it. O and by the way God it is partly your fault because you made her for me. I know I am having some fun with this but you should get the point.

I explained earlier: to subdue the earth, have dominion over all animals. In one word, stewardship.
I don't think you understand my question.

God says it's not good Adam be alone.
God knows that creating Woman is thr answer.
So first He brings every other living soul to Adam.
Why?
Why not create Woman immediately?

If Adam blamed God for authoring Adam's evil
Adam would be cursed and dammed, and God would not have accepted his confession, given him the promise of salvation, covered his sin and kept the way to the tree of life for him.

However God saved Adam in great mercy and Adam showed great faith.

Clearly the common interpretation you parroted is therefore incorrect.

Deception. Truth.
Ignorance precludes knowing the difference.

God was not authoring Adam's evil. God made it clear do not touch the tree. In other words don't mess around with the Satan.

God disclosed His plan of making a helper for Adam BEFORE he formed those birds and animals. He brought those animals and birds to Adam to demonstrate that since they all came in pairs, so should Adam. God was educating Adam so he could understand God's plan.

You're having fun but that's actually what Adam did. He avoided responsibility
and lied to God.

And tried to get God to give Eve the full blame for his actions. Adam had no honor and was a coward.
After he fell from grace.

We're suppose to accept the man is to be the head if the woman solely due to his male sex when Adam is the first example? 🤔

After the fall. That's what Adam became after the fall. She was made from his center part, his rib, but Adam tried to throw her under the proverbial bus.

What real purpose does a tree
serve that has the potential to shorten longevity and alter human
consciousness?
The tree didn't alter our consciousness . . . God did. The Curse is from God.

Galatians 3:13 NLT - "But Christ has rescued us from the curse pronounced by the law. When he was hung on the cross, he took upon himself the curse for our wrongdoing. For it is written in the Scriptures, "Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree."

(Gen. 2:21-2, NKJV) The wordצ tsêlâ‘"side, rib" (Strong's #6763, x41) comes from the verb צָלַע tsâla‘ "to curve, limp, be lame, incline to one side" (Strong's #6760, x4) in the AV translated each time by "halt" by other versions as "limp, lame".

The Adam and Eve story has led some people to believe that men have one fewer rib than women. This isn’t true. The vast majority of people have 12 sets, or 24 ribs, no matter their sex.

This is also known as the Helix curve”DNA”

God took most of the female DNA out of Adam and made Eve.

This is silly. If a man has one rib surgically removed and he fathers a son, does his son have one less rib? Who would be so stupid to believe that this removal of one rib is hereditary?

Galatians 3:13 NLT - "But Christ has rescued us from the curse pronounced by the law. When he was hung on the cross, he took upon himself the curse for our wrongdoing. For it is written in the Scriptures, "Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree."
Paul’s talking about the curse of Moses law , “death for sin “not the creation before it existed

see what he says there about Christ taking the curse ? He’s talking about this

“And if a man have committed a sin worthy of death, and he be to be put to death, and thou hang him on a tree: his body shall not remain all night upon the tree, but thou shalt in any wise bury him that day; (for he that is hanged is accursed of God;) that thy land be not defiled, which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance.”
‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭21:22-23‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Christ took the sinners place being hanged on the tree that curse of the law is death for transgression of the law.

that came 400 years after Abraham. The curse of the law. This curse came when the y transgressed and ate the fruit though a couple thousand years before the law was given with its curse of sin and death

Death was in the world at this point

“And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭2:16-17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Knowledge alters the mind and heart they weren’t supposed to know evil now they did when they ate the fruit . It’s why you see thier position change instantly

god only told them not to eat it because he was telling the truth to keep them safe Satan only said what he said because he was trying to condemn us to death

this curse came upon all Mankind that moment

“And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field; in the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭3:17-19‬ ‭KJV‬‬

death existed in his word beforehand now they fulfilled what he said “ when you eat the fruit you’ll die “ his word will always come to pass whether good or bad whether life and blessing or death and cursing

Jesus came to restore it all taking the law away d redeeming man to our original state of not knowing evil , but being filled with the Holy Spirit of the lord having no relationship to evil

Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves coverings.”

This is the change of conscience: from being a spirit clothed in flesh to being a flesh-being without covering. The appeal of the fruit was to the flesh. The “eyes” here are not physical eyes but the eyes of the soul. The soul became the ruling factor in their lives. The same is spoken about here:

“For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust ofthe eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world.”

I didn't say you said that.

There are those who believe in the bible yet don't think of what it actually tells them.
They tell themselves the bible is inerrant, and dont bother to realize even discussions here demonstrate there are inconsistencies, errors, and contradictions.

They tell themselves they have to believe in the bible, but they don't believe they have to think about what is written.

They make an idol of a book, and confine God to what is contained therein. As if it isn't in scripture it isn't related to God.
While not being critical of what they read and recognizing while Gid is
The real truth of the mater is that Just as the Tree of Life was not and is not a tree but Jesus The tree of the knowledge of Good and Evil is not a tree but That old serpent Satan and the Devil
Interesting perspective.

Taking into consideration your perspective regarding the real identity of the two tree's, that would mean God planted Satan, whom he made lord of this world, in the center of the garden.
And afterward on the sixth day God judged all he'd created good.

OK let me try this again without the post cut off, and with a fix to the typo.

It was for shade
also maybe it could have been cut down and used for building a house and the wood for firewood, or pulped and made into paper

Just because God tells ppl not to EAT from a tree doesnt mean a tree cannot have other uses!
