Of course! It's God, purpose, before a life partner... We must and should seek God's purpose/purposes for our creation as believers' before seeking His will in marriage... You must find your purpose before thinking of finding a life partner.

And praying for a life partner/Asking God to lead you to your life partner does not reduce your spirituality, but might end strengthening it, that is if it is in accordance with God's will. A spouse is a blessing from God and that's how I see it... But if God says otherwise (He wanting me to be single,) well... Then 'His will be done'

I think these modern times there are a lot more pressing issues than getting married

and also, we now have the luxury I suppose not to
it used to be for girls your education stopped as soon as you started menstruation

and your family married you off. Because why feed a girl. Or why expand her mind if all she was going to do is have babies and cook and clean. But this was when populations were small and they needed more people

now there are so many and its overcrowded theres things like birth control and abortion. However back in the day infant mortality was pretty high, but its actually very weird how people just really didnt know how to look after their children , like mothers would neglect them and put babies to sleep face down in their cots, not even undertsnding that a baby cannot turn themselves over and there would be this huge thing of cot deaths, and for a long time people just couldnt figure out how that happened.

I read this quote
Love is eternal, partners come and go

I'll try to find out who its by
of course not to say who you marry isnt important, because you the one that has to live with them, but I think people grow and change they not always going to be the same as the day you met them obviously.

Well I'm a Pentecostal minister... Does that count? Does that meet your criteria?

I didn't say I spend ALL my time playing games, or even MOST of my time. It's actually less than ten percent. (That's why it took me a week to get through Batman: Arkham Asylum, even though it had a trivially short plot and simplistic gameplay.)
i thought you were married? I must be getting you mixed up with that other guy who is married, that i keep getting you mixed up with. Who's that?

Batman Arkam... a fun game?

"Delight yourself in the Lord and He will grant you the desires of your heart." I found out it was true! In hindsight, no less.
He brought me face to face with the love of my life. Then He said, "Now it's up to you two."
"Life is what happens while you're busy making other plans."
Then you die.

I would like to encourage single believers. There is a very long list of necessary things one takes on when they are married that you don't have to worry about when single.

Therefore...

Being single is like being on vacation everyday!:cool::D:D

I sometimes wonder if there is something wrong with my attitude. Am I jaded? Why don't I have that natural desire to find someone to enjoy life with? Then I realize that maybe I have a gift.

When I think of meeting someone that would make me want to get married I think of it as a negative. Something I need to be careful about. Meeting the right person for me might put me at risk of giving up all this glorious Me Time I currently enjoy. And that does not sit well me; not at all. :(

Don't know how you missed it, with all the praise I have spoken about being single, but I am definitely not married. Not sure how you missed it with cinder either... For the same reason. She's always saying, in quite a logical manner as is her wont, how good being single is.

Arkham Asylum is good. Arkham City is better. Arkham Origins is better still.

Arkham Knight is... really junk. The "real" ending is locked behind a treasure hunt with a lot of junk, the tank-ish batmobile is very unfun to drive and required for FAR too much of the game and the whole story is so contrived you will get dizzy from rolling your eyes.

Wait a minute.... when did I get married? I think I would have been there for that and remembered it.

For that matter, I'm pretty sure I'm still female too. I mean sure, there's plenty of people out there trying to convince you that assuming I'm a woman just because I have certain chromosomes and parts and don't have others is a great wrong against me, but I kind of figure if woman doesn't tie back to something concrete like that it's a meaningless concept. And since those same people think that I can be whatever I think I am, I think that not only am I a girl, but I'm a girl dragon (still waiting for the wings to grow in). And they say don't meddle in the affairs of dragons because you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup.

But thanks for the laugh, there's several of us with an in joke that Lynx and I are so much alike we must be the same person (or else the male and female version of the same person) so we had a good laugh about this.

LOL. I was just thinking about the meals today.

I was thinking to myself... "Self, isn't it good to not have to heed the call "Dinner time" and have to stop reading your commentary on Acts, get up and go eat a meal while it's hot, when you are not even hungry, lest you risk hurting someone's feelings?"

And just think of all that unnecessary weight gain.

Just try to explain why you would like her to stop cooking for you and just let you get your own food when you are hungry and you will never have that conversation again. You would think you verbally abused her. Prepare to spend the rest of the evening making her believe that you don't regret marrying her and that you still love her. Forget about getting back to that commentary today. Not happening.

Just use the bible as example of how Abraham Found wife for his son , or how Jacob found his wives .
Too often we get stuck in the deep spiritual words of sone scriptures and forget our God is a practical God . We don’t just sit and wait . We act in faith , follow the leading of the Holy Spirit of where to go
maybe He leads to a new church , maybe a visit to a friend at the right time to cross paths with that person .
Maybe just being led to post on CC !

Well said. So what's your affinity to dragons? Sounds very intriguing.

did you get married in your sleep Cinder and just plain forgot?

Some people really do that I heard, just wake up one day, somebody in bed next to them, turns out its their spouse and they dont remember ever marrying them.
