The Flower
The seed that fell to deathly gloom
Now stirs within its earthen tomb
For seasons change and time does yield
And, lo, the tomb becomes a field
Alas, the bud and petal show
As one expecting in her glow
Bright and vibrant in its hue
Basking in the morning dew
So let the songbird's anthem rise
'Neath the brow of cloud pocked skies
Let nature in her beauty cower
Before the regal and majestic flower
So softly and elegantly adorn
The landscape of all that is reborn
Filling the heart of all who see
With hope for all eternity
The seed that fell to deathly gloom
Now stirs within its earthen tomb
For seasons change and time does yield
And, lo, the tomb becomes a field
Alas, the bud and petal show
As one expecting in her glow
Bright and vibrant in its hue
Basking in the morning dew
So let the songbird's anthem rise
'Neath the brow of cloud pocked skies
Let nature in her beauty cower
Before the regal and majestic flower
So softly and elegantly adorn
The landscape of all that is reborn
Filling the heart of all who see
With hope for all eternity
