Transgenderism is a mental disorder

I think McHugh is absolutely right. It is medically impossible to change genders. You can make all kinds of cosmetic changes and take hormones but that won't change your gender. In fact taking hormones can mess a person up and cause more problems than it solves.

I don't know about mental disorder. It's not that uncommon for kids to have gender confusion growing up; I wouldn't call that a disorder. However, nowadays, rather than steering kids in the right direction the LGBTQ activists have brainwashed everyone into thinking if a kid has gender confusion we must just accept it and play along. The tail is truly wagging the dog. If kids aren't helped to find a dose of reality they may develop a mental disorder over gender.

Transgender people truly do need our love and support. In many ways they're victims of the LGBTQ activists who have fed them a steady stream of lies. "Changing genders" seems like an easy way to solve a difficult problem, but it's unrealistic and dangerous in many ways. Like most simple solutions there may be hidden costs that aren't seen or understood.

This is an interesting exchange. Something that isn't made entirely clear here is the fact that this professor is talking about transgender "men" who were born female and "transitioned" to male. Some of these transgender "men" can get pregnant because they're actually still women! Only women can get pregnant, regardless of what they may look like on the outside.

Other than a strike on the head, or blood having been cut off by damage, or similar, it's plain sin, caused by the fallen nature of humans. Demons love the idea, and the person who pursues this failed existence is normally beset by dozens of them.
I think the first mistake the US made was claiming that those who claim The Law are saved, and are to be treated as equals and allies, despite them openly, very hostilely, treating Jesus.

I think that for many, the idea that we can change such a core instruction from God, would prove that we are free from God's will, and thus able to be sinless without Repentance through Jesus. This is much like the trickery Satan gives on almost every sin.

I think they might be two different things.
Hidden costs? It costs hundreds of thousands of dollars to change your gender...with all the cosmetic surgery, hormone treatments, depilatory, etc

Apprently in the time ex wife Linda knew Bruce Jenner as Bruce he showed absolutely no spiritual side at all. (in contrast to Elvis, who was always seeking to connect with gospel music, reading the Bible etc)
Though in the latest netflix doco the Caitlyn character asks a question about God whether she will be accepted.

I dont know if their is a gold medal for being the best woman lol. In the doco caitlyn shows off that she won a Guinness Worlds Record for the most Twitter followers in an hour or something.

so maybe she could win a trophy for it and that would make her day. But she cant go back to being a man now that her drivers licence has been changed and all that. It will be even more expensive to change back I would think. Not sure why, Bruce couldnt just be an actor who had this character Caitlyn and play her for a few hours and then take off his costume when done at the end of the show which is what most men do if they want to experience being a woman. All the characters on the show would then pretend to believe her.

Maybe thats why Bruce married Linda Thompson, in part because she WAS a former beauty pageant winner. Maybe he was gaining tips from her or something but lost interest after a few years then went on to Kris.

His four sons missed out on their dad through all this, apparently he did not bother to contact them at all while he was being self-involved with all the drama of trying to become a woman

What I still cannot fathom over this argument, is that we started this dicussion saying that there is no proper way to think or feel as a gender or sex.
Now we want to claim there actually must be, which is why I can know in advance of mutilating my body as God gives it, that I am not what God gave me, but must be the other.

A lady I know grandaughter is currently on hormonal treatment and is changing from female to male. Actually she wants to be neither, half male and half female. She/he still looks like a female to me as she/he is very petite and will never look male. I have no idea what the reason for her change.

He needs deliverance . Mental disorders are definitely not a plan from God. We are to be of sound mind. He needs to be told the truth. I so agree with you. If we do not tell him or them the truth in love their blood is on our hands. That's where people go wrong with just keeping quiet . Sadly people worried about stepping on someones toes. I am more worried about where they are going when they die. That is love , not hiding the truth from them.

so sometimes I think that may have something to do with it

Maybe they were never really affirmed or blessed as a child/baby or accepted? Thinking on Bruce, did his parents treat him well? I dont know. Is this why he pushed himself to train so hard for the olympics and win a medal to prove his worth?

Apparently because he was dyslexic, he didnt do well in school and sports was the only thing he could master. The thing with sports is for men, its kinda saying if you are strong, you are worthy. If you are weak, then you are not really a man

Though women can now compete in the Olympics, they are at a disadvantage for most sports.

We could solve some of this pain by arranging marriages, marrying our young adults when they start trying to have children, and by marrying younger women to older men, to whom the definition of fleshly beauty has changed, and/or is less important.

Jesus accepts you and wants to save your soul not your gender. Thats who you are. Your body is only flesh...it will decay and die. Your soul is who you are inside and is a whole person. The Holy Spirit makes you whole.

I am waaay to literal to read this as you probably meant to write it. When I see people treated badly, I tend to get upset, ipso, with you expending the energy to mention this condition being raw, I think these two together form a picture of nonsense in my brain.

I am holding a judgement against the US and Western church, and thus also myself, for not being better about our sexual natures, and God's plan as laid forth in Scripture, and spoken by Jesus, and testified to by the very words of those who claim to feel for others. We don't teach of our sexuality as God designed us, we take up the false images of sensual passions, and the fake narratives of Cross-less Christianity, and worse, of Population Control and Masturbation as Godliness; and instead of doing right, I end up teaching that kids should be necking in the woods, if only to spite their parents, because nobody seems to be capable of looking at a human body with a-passionate response to its form, abilities, and desires.
Perhaps during your arrangements, you can consult with the young adults you're pairing together, you don't have to dictate there. That said, you should dictate with whom you are calling your body in Christ. It is imperative that sin be named and discarded.
