Works Of The Flesh

19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

Fruit Of The Spirit

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

I think that there is a reason that they are called fruits. It is the Spirit that makes these changes within us. Generally, works are considered to be something we do.

Ephesians 2
8For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9Not of works, lest any man should boast.

JESUS IS the VINE we are the branches receiving sustenance from the vine displaying spiritual fruit establishing the law.

For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; ( works of the flesh )

but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. ( fruits of the spirit )

For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.”

“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption;

Hearing and believing the gospel of the kingdom produces the fruits

“When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.” ( seed is rejected )

“But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it; yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.”

“He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.”

produces the fruits of the spirit , mercy forgiveness , acceptance and non judgement , generoucity

Jesus teaches true brotherly love , kindness , giving , sharing , helping , mercy , forgiveness , to us who aren’t perfect these are the fruits of the spirit

is we believe the gospel this happens

“But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.”

Different measures and even kinds of fruit but it’s believing the lord that brings us to the fruits holding onto those things he said like “don’t judge and you won’t be judged , forgive and you will be forgiven , give and you will receive greater measure , don’t condemn nd you won’t be condemned “

If we follow after that it’s going to automatically produce some “fruits of the spirit “the more we can handle and are willing to apply , the more he’ll give us and more fruits well Bear for him

Fruits of hearing and believing the gospel, would Be another way to think of it

“for the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel; which is come unto you, as it is in all the world; and bringeth forth fruit, as it doth also in you, since the day ye heard of it, and knew the grace of God in truth:”

believing the gospel truly changes us if we learn from Jesus

Great to post the Fruits of the Spirit but how do we achieve them so we can be an example of what a Christ like Character is suppose to be like ====

My view

Achieving and Manifesting these Fruits Takes stamina ---commitment and much practice ---practice and practice on our part ------we are not just given these fruits when we receive the Holy Spirit ---these fruits have to be cultivated by us by relying on the Spirit and God's Grace ----to give us the ability to stay the course to be more Christ Like in our Character -----In our weakness God Grace gives us strength ---

The fruits of the Spirit

The Love is Agape -----Agape is unconditional ----Agape Loves the unlovely ----Agape takes no offence

Joy ---comes from totally believing and trusting that God will do as He says in His word -----

Peace -----this is not human peace ---this is the peace beyond human understanding ----having peace in the midst of the storm --or chaos

Longsuffering ----is that suffering long ---patiently enduring a lasting hardship or offence ---steadfastness, perseverance

Gentleness ---is meekness ----humility ====(gentle strength") which expresses power with reserve

Goodness ---the goodness that comes from God and showing itself in spiritual, moral excellence (virtue).

Faith ---enables the believer to know God's preferred-will

Meekness ----Biblical meekness is not weakness but rather refers to exercising God's strength under His control – i.e. demonstrating power without undue harshness.

Temperance ---self-mastery, self-restraint, self-control, continence.

All these Fruits take much work and much practice---practice and more practice and commitment on our part -----and I believe none of us will never achieve mastering all of these fruits in our lifetime --
