Yeah and broad blanket statements are almost never true. Some people vote Democrat just because they think Republican policies take America backwards
Like...
* murdering unborn children up to 9 months in the womb; and California's considering a measure to allow mothers to let their babies die of starvation 2 weeks
after birth; How progressive!
* the introduction of no-bail laws, and calling for the defunding of the police; none of which has resulted a 50%-100% rise in crime, or anything;
* attacking the fossil-fuel industry causing inflation to shoot up (loooong before Putin invaded Ukraine);
* prosecuting the Capitol Hill invaders while
bailing out the 2020 rioters;
* giving aid and comfort to inner city insurrectionists aided and abetted by the
communist BLM and Antifa organizations;
* trying to divide and conquer the population through
a) CRT and the reinstitution of racial freaking segregation in our public schools,
b) maskers vs no-maskers
c) vaxxers vs. non-vaxxers;
If we're worried about each other, we're not watching those in power;
* utilizing crises and exaggerating crises, like Covid and global warming, to alarm the population into surrendering their freedoms for "emergency" government action;
* calling for an end to our constitution, call it a document founded on slavery and white supremacy, calling it "outdated", obsolete; and
* calling freedom of speech evil by also calling it white supremacist, and from this, cancel culture.
All of this is coming from today's Democrats. None of it is coming from the Right. None of it.
It is classically authoritarian, as such tactics were used by the Communists
and the Fascists of the 20th Century. And, that's pretty consistent since all of the authoritarian movements of the last century originated on the Left. Yes, even fascism, as it was a modified socialism, and Hitler and Mussolini began their careers as socialists.
Progress looks good, everybody!
