I disagree. Christians must be salt on every level of society. If we stay away from government, then we surrender it to the enemy and get what we deserve.

That being said, absolutely this is a spiritual battle, and must also be fought on those terms.

I say go in until a specific town or district actually tells you to get out. Screw the governor.

If half the people got up and left their economy would collapse, housing prices would collapse, tax revenue would collapse, social services would collapse and everyone would know that the governor did this to them when they told all those who think differently from her to leave.

I understand the desire to hurt her and the state -- even though it's my home state. However, that may not be the most Christlike way to go. He showed us mercy and enlightened our hearts when we were living in rebellion.

The Christlike Way

Luke 9:1 Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases. 2 And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.

We have been sent to preach the kingdom and heal the sick. If you are not doing that then you are not on the Christlike way and the rest of this portion does not apply to you. This is the prerequisite.

3 And he said unto them, Take nothing for your journey, neither staves, nor scrip, neither bread, neither money; neither have two coats apiece.

There is no prerequisite to be "wealthy". You don't need a resume or a reference.

4 And whatsoever house ye enter into, there abide, and thence depart.

I entered NY and I abode there working as a teacher in the inner city.

However, when DeBlasio said that I had to be vaccinated with an experimental vaccine despite that being illegal and despite the fact I had already recovered from Covid and hence had natural immunity I knew I was no longer welcome. I went to several protests given by teachers, I gave my testimony to the local news and in so doing I shook off the dust and left.

If there were any Christians left in NY after that who didn't get the message, what Gov. Hochul said yesterday could not be any clearer, you are no longer welcome in NY. We were not called to fight with politicians. We were called to preach the gospel, move on somewhere where they will welcome good news.

Then you've surrounded the government to the enemy of your soul.

Imagine if missionaries took this tack. No pagan would ever hear the message.

Imagine if Christians would heed the word of God in the Bible and stop going based on their own opinion.

What Hochul did was not common, in fact many objected to it. But in this very unique case imagine 10% of NY left the state. If 10% of teachers left the school system would be in a major crisis. 10% of police left cities in major crisis. 10% of firemen, 10% of workers in every profession. Housing prices would collapse, tax revenue would collapse. And who would they blame for this? She told them to leave and they left. Prior to leaving they made a clear testimony that they were leaving because of Hochul. You reap what you sow, everyone would know it, and this would then open the door for repentance.

In my experience the reason that Christians object to this word from the Lord about shaking off the dust and moving on is because they don't want to give up their job, they don't want to give up their house, they don't want to give up their friends, etc. They are entangled in the world. We are supposed to be witnesses going throughout the earth to preach the gospel. Jesus says when they tell you that you are no longer welcome then it is time to go on to the next city.

But instead Christians act like this is their home and they will fight for it. So go ahead fight for NY state and see what you wind up getting. My home is in the heavens, we are pilgrims here just passing through.

Recession -- 2 quarters of negative GDP during a Republican administration, not during a democrats administration.

0% inflation -- when prices rise 25% year over year but did not rise since yesterday.

Semi-Fascism -- anything that Democrats don't like.

Anti Democratic -- these would be any laws that promote free and fair elections, thus hurting the chance of a Democrat getting elected.

I made my case. I sent you the link to the podcast because others sometimes say something in a different way and it might then click. But, you didn't listen to it. Discerning between God's word and man's opinion is not usurping the Lord's position on the throne.

Proverbs 1:1 The proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel; 2 To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding; 3 To receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment, and equity; 4 To give subtilty to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion.

For example, the word of God is likened to fine gold whereas man's opinion is a counterfeit, it is fool's gold. It is easy to discern fine gold from pyrite (fool's gold). If you hit gold with a hammer it is malleable, you will hammer it into very fine sheets. However, pyrite will shatter. Another difference is if you burn pyrite it will smell like rotten eggs (it is composed of sulfur). The way I understand that is that if you question someone who is trying to pass off fool's gold for the real thing they will shatter with the smell of rotten eggs (the old phrase something is rotten in denmark). Think of Fauci saying to question him is to question science. Now if he was really giving you gold he would have given a very fine explanation and gone into great detail just like gold being beaten into very thin sheets. Also, pyrite is made of iron, like an iron rod. An iron rod signifies authority, like when you ask someone a question and they say "because I said so".

Another thing about Pyrite it will form big crystals in the form of a cube. Yes, gold is a cube form, however, it never forms in big crystals. That would be exceedingly rare. So, very often lies will be presented as a "special case". Again, think of the way they handled this last pandemic. Everything they did was contrary to what we teach kids, it was contrary to biology 101, so everything about it was "a special case".

Interesting, certainly a new way of looking at it for me.
