He seems sincere.

He's too mixed up in politics. This is a relic of his "American" thinking.

He presents a dichotomy that is not central to the truth: either get involved in politics or you're not doing what is right. Although there is no account in scripture where Jesus or His disciples campaigned to change a single Roman law.
He also extols Bonhoeffer beyond what was true: he plotted to kill a man. Jesus, nor any of His disciples, ever killed anyone.

In Christ we are not powerless. But weapons of our warfare are not carnal, they are spiritual.

Good clip that should and does; make me a little uncomfortable. We do live in "...generally bizarre times," and the western institutional church (I choose the words with care) does appear to be lurching past the redeemable.

Thanks for sharing.

I dont believe in your so called american thinking. I believe he point on.
We were called to occupy and to make way for the king to come, to tend the garden as in genesis.
All of what jesus taught and preached certainly was not in agreement with roman law so how can you even say he did not go against roman law?
Yes we have spiritual warfare to contend with and no weapon formed shall prosper.
Seeking the kingdom of GOD and his righteousness is the first thing we ought to be doing. We need to speak the truth not just know it.

The Lord is coming back for a Bride who is distinct from the world, not for the United States. Haven't you read: the world will get worse before the Lord returns. Not "The world will get a little better in some areas because people spoke up, marched on Washington, tried to assassinate leaders they didn't like, and made a difference,... and then the Lord will come". This is more like Islam than the Kingdom of God.

Leave the baby-killers, murders, perverts, disobedient, etc. to the laws of the land. The Lord will not even break a bruised reed yet you advocate that unbelievers submit to more "Christian" laws. Tend to those who are the Lord's. Be the light of the world, not a new governing authority.

One cannot and should not ever try to legislate morality. That was the way of the Pharisees, not of Jesus. We must lay the axe to the root rather than swat at the leaves. Sin nature has always been the underlying problem, and yielding one's life to Christ has always been the cure. I hope that the speaker does not consider a strong focus on the Gospel in preference to political activism to be "remaining silent."

Great testimony, true brother. I just wish He could have stopped at the 10-minute mark.

John 4:35

“Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.”

Absolutely the cause is sin. Absolutely jesus is the only cure. This is what id like to focus on.
Sin in a persons life. Sin in a family, neighborhood, community, state, nation.
It needs to be adressed. Silence is not the answer. Evil will flourish when good men do nothing.
Rather late in evening but will add more to this.

Sin resides in the heart long before it manifests into any other form. Evil will flourish as long as good men are distracted from the root of the problem and waste all their time harping about the effect rather than the cause. The choice is ours; preach the gospel or march up and down the street blowing steam. I realize these things are done with good intentions, but they have no power to change the heart and cleanse the soul and transform the inner man. Healing starts from the inside.

"Do nothing" or "involvement in politics" is a false dichotomy.

Being the light of the world is a very active endeavor that never compromises the truth to assuage guilt when voting for corrupt men and politicians or for promoting a religious form of government contrary to the people. You prove you are like the world when you take up their own methods of warfare (politics) against them.

But the Lord said:

My kingdom is not of this world; if it were, My servants would fight to prevent My arrest by the Jews. But now My kingdom is not of this realm.”

America is lost. This world is lost. Judgment is certain and soon.
Spend time with the individual, the people you know and see. Those who will listen because the Holy Spirit is touching their heart and they are seeking to know.
Tell them about Jesus.

He just said preaching the gospel is not enough. Preaching the Gospel is the single thing we were directed to do. To preach, to make disciples, to baptize. This is what Jesus said do. This guy is false.

Absolutely but then again one should practice what they preach.

Jonah went to the people not the government.
The people whose hearts were prepared by God to hear Jonah's message.
Governments change only when men change.

the culture today is anti-God, and many believe we have lost another Generation.
This is what happens when people began to ignore the command to assemble.
Stop blaming the schools and the government and accept the responsibly that we as parents have failed if we did not teach our children and raise them in a local church.

I agree with what you say. As the family goes, so goes the church. In addition, church leaders have compromised the word of God and did so at the expense of God's love over His Holiness. Without a true move of God, this nation will not make through the midterms this NOV.

Men have failed God, failed family, failed His church.
And most churches seem to have failed God, man, and families.
Jesus asked if He would find faith when He returns. He knew this would happen and it no doubt saddened Him.

BUT :)

14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Paul said I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ for it is the POWER of GOD! We are not without hope :)
