So, how has God saved you, besides sin, and death? This thread is meant to encourage believers who are struggling or any one in the faith really.

Has God saved you from trouble in the past from health, finances, situations, law, job, school, family, friends, or anything you want to share?

Oh so many times and many were when I had one foot in the world and the other going to church and watching Christian TV. Looking back I can't figure out what I was or wasn't thinking during that time. Two major factors in my life was always having this faith in God and from going to church the Holy Spirit who at times yelled in my Spirit 'Don't Do It'.
One example of my faith in action (faith is an act) is when my mortgage was overdue like 8 months. The mortgage lady I had been talking to would call me every few weeks and say 'shall we start the foreclosure now?'. It says God gives us the desires of our hearts so by faith I kept telling her every time 'God is going to help me with this'. This went on for months. One of my daughters was married to a professor but I didn't tell them because I didn't want to put them on the spot. It was getting close to the absolute end and one day my daughter found out and said without asking her husband "Mama you are not going to lose your home'. I got my account info to them and they wired over $8,000 to my mortgage and they & God saved the day.
The mortgage lady was probably thinking the whole time, yeah right God's gonna pay this bill, but I would have loved to see her face when the $$$ actually came through at the last minute. All glory to God🙌🙌🙌

He saves me each and every day, but there have been a couple of moments in my life where God has really come through me and my family.

I’ll just share one lol and also note: NZ locations mentioned ahead FYI.

On the 26th Feb 2015, roughly around 4.00pm was my usual day of finishing work. I caught the bus (route 81 Eastbourne) to go home. Because my bus stop is the very last stop before entering the motorway, there’s always a high chance of having to stand up in the aisle because of no available seats - so just my luck, I ended up standing in the aisle although there were seats in the very back, I choose to stand as close to the exit door as possible as I was stopping off at the first bus stop in Petone.

As we headed past Ngauranga Gorge, the section where traffic from Ngauranga merge into State Highway 1, we sped up in the “fast lane”. At that time I was reading my book (coincidently called “The Supernatural Power of a Transformed Mind” by Bill Johnson, don’t @ me lol). I had reached the last page of my chapter, and needed to turn the page – however, in order to do this, I had to use one of my hands, which at the time, my right hand was gripping onto the pole rail that stood between the floor and the roof of the bus, and my left hand was holding my book. So my choices were; 1) to let go of the pole (which was keeping me from losing my balance) and quickly turn the page all in which the bus itself was going around 80k/h at the peak hour of traffic or 2) to not turn the page of my book and leave it.

I was eager to keep reading the book but then I believe, the Holy Spirit of God whispered to me to “look up”, my flesh wanted to “let go” of the pole and turn the page - knowing that I may lose my balance and run the risk of falling over, but still, the Spirit of God prompted me to look up ahead of me. So I listened to the Holy Spirit and looked up. My eyes were then directed to focus on the black BMW car in front of the bus which was roughly around 10 metres ahead. The car then started to brake repetitively but our bus kept at its speed of around 60-75km/h. Then the Spirit of God whispered to my heart “brace yourself, you're going to hit that car”. The car slowed down to a complete halt, but our bus didn’t. The bus driver attempted to pump a few brakes to slow us down, but by that time it was too late. We ended up ramming into the car causing it to aggressively launch into the truck ahead of it. As I was standing, I would expect to have been at least thrown a couple of inches on the floor due to the excessive force of the impact. But no, I didn’t even move my feet from position. I didn’t even feel the gravity of the force physically, and in my mind the impact between our bus and the car seemed more realistic. A few passengers who sat in front of me were jolted from their seats onto the floor and a few others sustained a few minor cuts and sore necks but thankfully, no one was seriously injured or killed from all 3 vehicles.

The point of my post? was to let you know that the true hero of this event was God, even though he doesn’t need me to tell him or anyone What He is capable of. I believe it was divine intervention that I as well as the passengers of all the 3 vehicles had been saved by His Grace and that I did not even move an inch of when we collided. When we hit, I felt a “shield” of angelic protection across my right side to my left side that kept me from toppling over. I can't explain it but it was as though an angel had spread their Wings (Psalms 104: 3 “you (God) ride upon the wings of the wind”) across from my right side to my left which prevented me from falling forward forcefully. Surely the force of the impact should’ve made me lose complete grip from the pole and flip me down the aisle, but no, God had other plans. I believe He had sent his angels (Hebrews 1: 14 “Therefore, angels are only servants-spirits sent to care for people who will inherit salvation”) to protect us but to physically feel His angels - was beyond my comprehension.

I took this picture of the collision a few minutes after it happened to show how much damage was done to the vehicles involved, and to show you all the POWER of God. “For I hold you by your right hand – I, the Lord your God. And I say to you, “Don’t be afraid. I am here to help you.” – Isaiah 41: 13.

May Glory be to God, forever and ever. In Jesus Name. DD73E19C-E5BC-42F3-B87F-70572BC5896F.jpeg

I know that some people on this site aren't too fond of my testimonies (because they've flat out told me so), but I'll share one for the potential glory of God anyway.

The timeframe would have been somewhere late 1999 or early 2000. At that time, I was living in New Jersey, preaching on the streets of New York, and teaching a Bible study in Pennsylvania. In fact, on the days that I taught the Bible study in Pennsylvania, I used to drive first from New Jersey into New York in order to pick up people who had been converted via my/our (there was a group of us who preached on the streets together) street preaching, and then drive them to the Bible study in Pennsylvania where others were being taught as well.

Anyhow, on this one particular day, after having dropped off everyone in New York on our way home from the Bible study in Pennsylvania, I was still driving in New York on my way home to New Jersey. Suddenly, I heard Police car sirens getting louder and louder as they were apparently getting closer to me, and as I glanced in my rearview mirror, I saw Police cars chasing someone in a white Corvette at very high speeds. The Corvette was headed directly into the back of my vehicle at a very high speed, when, suddenly, it spun out of control, spinning right alongside the passenger side of my vehicle, and then it spun right back in front of me while crashing into the guardrail.

At that moment, I thanked God for protecting me, but it wasn't until I arrived home that I fully understood what had transpired. In other words, when I got home, I telephoned the woman (she eventually became my wife) whose apartment we had had our Bible study at that day. She wasn't there alone as she had another woman who we had met through our street evangelism staying with her for the week. Anyhow, when she picked up the phone and heard my voice, both she and the other woman with her screamed out something to the effect of "Thank God that you're okay!" I hadn't yet told them what had happened, so I was kind of taken back by that. Well, she went on to explain to me that God had laid it upon both of their hearts when I left Pennsylvania that day that I was going to be involved in a serious car accident. The two of them were praying fervently for me that such wouldn't be the case, and, in hindsight, I believe that their prayers to God on my behalf are what spared or saved me that day.

I never get into my car anymore without praying for angelic protection first.

Back when my dad was here I would drive out to his house with then just my 2 girls once a month for the weekend.
It was a 45 mile drive to LA so I would say the same prayer always before entering the freeway. It was about angels protecting us wherever we go keeping us safe and that there would be no problems or troubles with the car. In 15 yrs I only had one situation. I was driving back through a long barren stretch in Corona when the car just went dead. I pulled over and noticed in my rearview someone pulling over with me in a station wagon. I thought, I know why I'm pulling over but why are they? A man came up to my window and said 'Do you need some help?" I didn't have a cell phone.
I told him the car went dead. He asked whereabouts I lived and I told him and he said it was on his way and he could drop us off there. I turned and looked at my girls, we were churchgoers btw, and they both were shaking their heads 'no'. Then the thought came to me, I said a prayer to God for safety and protection and if I can't believe in my prayers--I'm going to find out now. When we got in his car I saw the reflection of a book on his dash in the window. I had a picture of a man with a beard on it and I wish I would have caught the title but I didn't. Anyway he took us right to our driveway and by the time I got out and turned to offer him some $$, he wasn't there. Prayers do work esp when we believe.

Hmm... testimony time...

Many examples exist, but I'll list a few that stand out in my memory.

1. I once was drifting back to catch a fly ball on a field that was not designed for softball. I tripped and fell back. About maybe 2" behind my head was a rock almost as big as my head.

2. God provided jobs and finances on multiple occasions when time seemed to be running out.

3. God removed a bad compulsion of mine about 10 years ago. I am so grateful for this.
