Drunkenness' as sin in the Bible

I'm not sure what you are referring to by "it" re. mattering - the sinfilulness of various aspects of drinking?, the homosexuality or not of Ham?, the abuse or not of Noah?, the lineage of Noah?, or other?
I think "it" may not be pivotal to central issues, but one or more aspects may be obliquely educational or just interesting to read.

Having said that - I think the minister's idea that the Isaiah passage was referring to 9/11 was dodgy extrapolation.

As you say, interesting, probably need to look at sites about archaeology, Biblical and secular. I am still a bit suspicious about how science is understanding DNA even if it is accepted in the courts. Science has made some huge blunders just like some preachers do. I have seen reports regarding how the Egyptians made 'beer'. The 'racial' aspect is real interesting to me because I have been talking with a local group here which claim they are the true Israelites. I was almost ready to attend their congregation, an off shoot of The Israel of God 'movement'. It seems their beliefs are based on the 'peculiar coincidence' of slavery in the U.S. being about 450yrs. now. Go figure. Strange?? Just within the last few days I started thinking another 'peculiar incident' is that there a verses in the Bible that talk about the eventuality of Israels restoration and others fearing them. Now there are enclaves of 'ghetto's' in numerous countries where even the police don't patrol. Go figure. When I first starting talking with these guys I was interested in knowing what gives with the verses around Acts15:15 which is taken from the book of Amos I think. About the restoration of the Tabernacle of David and the residue of "Edom". Edom 'is used in Amos 9 and Acts 17 or so uses pagan or ? depending on translation. I am stymied!!!??? But racial aspects may play in here. Personally, I figure we are all different shades of the same 'human race'. Maybe including Cro-Magnon, Neanderthal, Homo-habilis, and who knows what. There is at least one other 'strange' occurrence regarding this but maybe later or never.

Yes, some sins call for a death sentence where others a penalty can be imposed and then be forgiven.

I am very close to having literally sinned every sin and still wonder if each time I was drunk or fornicating maybe with the same woman like living in a sinful relationship would be considered an individual separate sin? And for every theft likewise. And say for instance is being drunk from close to the time a person is up and about till the time they go to sleep and the pattern repeats for a period of days and weeks, does that count as one sin or one sin per day? I know there is something about forgiving 'not seven but seventy times seven'. But that seems to apply to those who are brothers in Christ. I am of the feeling that our sins which occurred before accepting Jesus as our Savior, even though, we may have known better are as Charles Spurgeon might reference it to scripture some where, 'cleansed by the Blood of The Lamb of God'. I know Spurgeon emphasized Christ's Blood as saving to the 'uttermost'. I only recently saw a Andy Griffith show where they mention a 'church song' about 'washing all a sinners' guilty stains'. Seems another reason for me to stay away from Catholicism which I was born into. Protestantism is far superior in teaching what the Bible says. As a kid, going to Catholic mass, did nothing for me at all. The mass was in Latin. I didn't know any Latin then and very little now. And even though I did all the ritual I didn't then nor now see any relationship with the ritual and what we are commanded to abide by in the Bible. I even have the feeling that the place in the 17th chapter in the book of the Revelation of Jesus to John where is mentioned a golden cup full of abominations is a reference to a part of the mass as performed not only in the RCC but other religions also. I stole one of those golden cups from the building where I went to mass and drank some of the also stolen 'sacramental' wine and it tasted just like wine. And the little wafers at mass, which were also 'sold' at exorbitant prices were kind of tasty. Not like matzo but unique. No meaty taste at all. Yes alcohol or druggies is major sin. And theirs two crazy individuals on this format that are stalking me, leaving negative comments, they hate The TRUTH. First Corinthians 6:9. The wicked will not be in paradise. Sheol is prison, holding place for the spirtualty dead. Their waiting for judgement day. OINOPHLUGIA means drunkenness in Greek. PHARMAKEUS in Greek = sorcerers, pharmaceutical. This is druggies. Their's forgiveness for all sins, if they repent to God and conform to God's standard. They can be child of light. Its their choice if they come to the cross.
