What scripture entered your mind today? And why, if there was a reason.

I'll start:

He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.
(Matthew 5:45)

I thought of this because I was having a difficult day.

I'm sorry you were having a difficult day, it makes the easy ones easy though. If there were no hard days we wouldn't know what a easy day was.

No verses popped in my head today but, I did often think of my father.

A Similar subject but from Job 16
I added notes in the margin that reminded me of some around the death of my Dad. The Lord was the only one Who brought comfort at that time.
  1. Then Job answered and said,
  2. 2 I have heard many such things: miserable comforters are ye all.
  3. 3 Shall vain words have an end? or what emboldeneth thee that thou answerest?
  4. 4 I also could speak as ye do: if your soul were in my soul's stead, I could heap up words against you, and shake mine head at you.
  5. 5 But I would strengthen you with my mouth, and the moving of my lips should asswage your grief.
  6. 6 Though I speak, my grief is not asswaged: and though I forbear, what am I eased?
  7. 7 But now he hath made me weary: thou hast made desolate all my company.
  8. 8 And thou hast filled me with wrinkles, which is a witness against me: and my leanness rising up in me beareth witness to my face.
  9. 9 He teareth me in his wrath, who hateth me: he gnasheth upon me with his teeth; mine enemy sharpeneth his eyes upon me.
  10. 10 They have gaped upon me with their mouth; they have smitten me upon the cheek reproachfully; they have gathered themselves together against me.
  11. 11 God hath delivered me to the ungodly, and turned me over into the hands of the wicked.
  12. 12 I was at ease, but he hath broken me asunder: he hath also taken me by my neck, and shaken me to pieces, and set me up for his mark.
  13. 13 His archers compass me round about, he cleaveth my reins asunder, and doth not spare; he poureth out my gall upon the ground.
  14. 14 He breaketh me with breach upon breach, he runneth upon me like a giant.
  15. 15 I have sewed sackcloth upon my skin, and defiled my horn in the dust.
  16. 16 My face is foul with weeping, and on my eyelids is the shadow of death;
  17. 17 Not for any injustice in mine hands: also my prayer is pure.
  18. 18 O earth, cover not thou my blood, and let my cry have no place.
  19. 19 Also now, behold, my witness is in heaven, and my record is on high.
  20. 20 My friends scorn me: but mine eye poureth out tears unto God.
  21. 21 O that one might plead for a man with God, as a man pleadeth for his neighbour!
  22. 22 When a few years are come, then I shall go the way whence I shall not return.

“Blessed [with spiritual security] is the man who believes and trusts in and relies on the LORD And whose hope and confident expectation is the LORD", Jer 17:7. On any given matter, when we turn it over to the Lord, it's His and not ours to fret about anymore🙌👏👏👏.

Philippians 4:7-9 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

“And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.” 1 Peter 5:10

I hope today went better for you, zeroturbulence. God bless you and give you strength in all your tomorrows!

I included this Scripture since I’ve been thinking a lot about grace lately. I’ve been trying to live my daily life with grace—just letting things flow over and around me without allowing them to push me down in their wake. The more I practice it, the more I am seeing a difference. I feel able to handle the hard things the day brings my way a little more easily. It gives me a stronger sense of God’s presence, and a feeling of calm. Not that it solves all my problems, but it helps me adopt a gentler, forgiving attitude toward myself and others. It’s just a small but encouraging revelation I’ve had in recent days.

Psalm 8:4-6 What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?
5 For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.
6 Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet

Ever wonder why such a Holy God even brings us to mind and chooses to bless us despite our unworthiness? He sure is good.

It wasn't the verses that entered my mind, it was the heading over the verses...

"Jesus calmed the storm"
Mark 4:35-41
