When he summoned a famine on the land and broke all supply of bread,
he had sent a man ahead of them, Joseph, who was sold as a slave. His feet were hurt with fetters;
his neck was put in a collar of iron; until what he had said came to pass,
the word of the LORD tested him. The king sent and released him;
the ruler of the peoples set him free; he made him lord of his house
and ruler of all his possessions, to bind his princes at his pleasure
and to teach his elders wisdom........to bind his princes at his pleasure.

I guess you did not mess with Joseph. It appears he was a tough boss. Gives you another insight to him. But then again, he was dealing with government bureaucrats.

Well, if he pleasured in righteousness; then that was a good thing. It's nice to have a job you like if you like it for the right reasons.

The story of Joseph in Egypt is good reading for insight for the 144,000.I bet the spirit,water and the blood is present in the story as well.

The noteworthy attributes of Joseph were forgiveness and mercy. He was ill-treated but did not seek retribution.

It was a little more complicated than that. When his brothers came to him and Benjamin wasn't among them he didn't know if they had also killed Benjamin to steal the inheritance. That is why it was essential that they bring Benjamin with them. Then if you look who did he imprison, Simeon who was one of the two who had killed all those people in the town and the older brother to Levi, so probably the leader in that crime.

It wasn't until the brothers expressed remorse for what they had done that Joseph knew that they repented and that is when he revealed himself.

He exercised extreme self control. If he had immediately called to see his father and younger brother there would not have been any reconciliation with the other brothers.

He did that for his own family....he did not extend that kindness to some of the people in the Pharaoh's court. He also made the people buy the grain from Pharaoh, so Pharaoh owned all of Egypt. This my have been set up by GOD for what would happen many years later, leading to the exodus.
