I’m not sure about John Nash or mother Teresa, but I meant like hearing a voice from heaven speaking to someone?
Luke 17:20 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: 21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

God does not have to make vibrations in one's eardrums to talk to them. Being the omnipotent creator, He has a more direct connection to our minds. When He speaks to men in visions, for example, no vibrations of the ear happen. This communication is just as real and legitimate as vibrations in the ear. I think more so, actually. He has talked to many in dreams. There is no reason or need for Him to wiggle our ear bones at any time, including when we are wide awake. He is still talking. The question is whether or not we are listening.

do you think all experiences with the Spiritual world are fake or just some
are fake and some are true?

Quite a few people's experiences-- though maybe very real to them at
the time like Mother Teresa's --are imaginary.

I also think that the spirit world goes about its business mostly undetected:
the Holy Spirit's business too.

So, are all these experiences fake in your opinion or would some of them be genuine? Are they all imaginary?

I’m not buying something from Amazon or anywhere just because you don’t want to answer a question.

Does that include those who think they hear God when they read the Bible?

41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; 42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. 43 Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.
Matt 13:41-43
Hey, when I play the Audio Bible, am I hearing the audible Voice of God?!!

Lol! I’m just messing with y’all! Couldn’t help but poke some fun in the thread..lol! :giggle:

God does speak to ALL of us… we ALL are born with spiritual ears and eyes…

Say something to yourself in your head.. sing the ABC song… you can hear yourself in your head. How?! Your physical ears heard nothing.. how could you hear?!!!

You heard your voice with your spiritual ears!

Now, be careful… demons will also speak to us in our thoughts/head… you can hear them, too…sounds just like your voice.

We need discernment, we need to learn to recognize all the voices and know when and who is speaking to us.(y)

You mean like John Nash; the mathematician whose experiences were the
basis of a movie titled: A Beautiful Mind?

Mother Teresa went to India on the strength of some interior imaginative
locutions she claims to have received from Christ himself beginning in Sept
of 1946 and ending some time in 1947.

Years later, Teresa complained in private letters to spiritual counselors of
being abandoned by Jesus because she felt not the slightest glimmer of the
Lord's presence during virtually her entire five decades in that country.
Teresa became so stressed over Jesus' absence that she began to seriously
doubt that God existed at all: and I'm not talking about a young,
inexperienced Christian here.

No one is allowed to speak during times of “testing.”

Know and understand, what we heard in the Light we hold on to in the Dark.

Our faith - what we know and believe will be tested.

No worries, hold fast!

Hello @Lafftur what’s your take on people experiencing something supernatural with God?
Like a sight, sound or smell?

After weeding out the fakes, do you think some experience legitimate things or is it all in their head?

There are some that reject God’s Voice and become spiritually deaf because of Pride.

Humility gives us ears to hear what the Spirit is saying.

Discern…. Does the experience give LIFE… or LOVE… or TRUTH… or HOPE?

If not sure, take all you saw, heard, felt, smelled and tasted to the Lord in prayer. The Holy Spirit will teach us, amen.(y)

Thank you for answering that and I agree.
I was asking more from a logical and reasonable point of view to anyone who would like to discuss with me this notion of What is Real vs What’s in your head or what we perceive.
But the approach that you suggested is valid and it’s something that I do frequently,

Oh, there’s nothing reasonable or logical of the spiritual senses - they encounter things that defy the physical realm.

Our spiritual senses anchor us when there is no evidence being perceived by our physical senses because our spiritual senses are receiving information from the Holy Spirit.

This is when we walk by Faith (dependency on our spiritual senses) not by sight (our physical senses).

There are many times when I am reading the Bible and I have a question or there's a specific subject. Sometimes a verse is brought to my thought and I don't remember what the reference or even the book is. I open to another section of the Bible and my eyes tear up.
Why do I weep? He brought my eyes directly to the verse that He brought to my mind.
Sometimes it's as if Jesus was sitting with me and I ask a question. I turn to the exact page without leafing through and my eyes go straight to the answer. This is very humbling.

I've learned about the voices that come from the enemies of God and mankind. Some of them will claim to be God. You know that it isn't because they are speaking to those who are unbelievers.
The spirits lie.
Those unholy spirits often torment and try to stress the person.
They tempt those people to sin and to harm themselves and others.
Some who speak to New Agers and eastern gurus, will claim to be an alien, higher consciousness, dead relative, famous person,or God; these are all devils/ demons.
Many schizophrenics suffer from demon possession. I've been studying this subject recently.

I have never heard one through voices in my head or anything like that because I'm a saved believer in Christ. However, I have had several speak audibly through others. One tried to murder me without warning. I was scared until the Lord brought to my mind loud and clear as He applied it specifically to this creature. The Lord told me,

"Greater is He Who is in you than he who is in the world."

Immediately the fear left and I knew for certain what I faced was my mortal enemy. I looked into the face of a demon as manifesting through it's chosen host.

The Lord was in His temple and there was no reason to fear....only for His power to cast the demon out. He had the victory.

I would say you would be hearing the Word of life.

Know and understand, what we heard in the Light we hold on to in the Dark.
I know it is written in Matthew 10:27, "What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light:" but if what you heard in the light leaves you in the dark, then maybe you can explain the verse in John 8:12 wherein it is written, " he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life."
I agree.
