The questions were on topic you just dodged them
Also, obstruction how? She complied by showing up in person as the officer requested
They may have been on a topic, but they weren't on the topic I wanted to talk about.

She was probably obstructing justice when she was standing up. Maybe she was getting in his face or blocking his path or something. All she needed to do was let him do his job. I don't think this officer has a history of doing this sort of thing.

"He started yelling and spewing profanity at her as soon as she started to make her case with him on the phone.. "

This never happened in the video because they didn't let us hear the phone call.
The part you refuse to admit is that the officer escalated the situation for no reason
Does the fire department bring gasoline to put out a fire?
You're really coming across like a boot licker on this one

I did watch the video. Wow, your view is so skewed. Baiting? Provoking? Yeah, on his part.
Lots of these kind threaten on recorded voice mail with impunity. It's because they have impunity. The judges work with them as do the persecutors. There's no court of record at that level and 9 out of ten times this lady would be convicted of trumped up charges with absolutely no due process. Later appeals would include a court of record, however few people will spend thousands of dollars to defend trumped up charges. The prosecutors will not prosecute the police. Judges will drop the cases.

The only thing that is going well is the recording getting out to the court of public opinion and the judge might deal with it.

You did not answer the questions because you chose to dodge them rather than admit you don't have an answer or that the answer to those questions would go against your narrative.
Also I'm going to need to see your law credentials if you're claiming that just asking a police officer question is obstructing justice

It looks like she went into the police station with the intention to provoke the officer. Many anti-cop activists do that nowadays. She took the recording and knew exactly where to put it on the Internet. She even gave an interview about what she alleges happened. Notice that despite how dramatized the video is, there isn't actually any proof of anything.
oh now you were there and saw that? hahahahahahaha

we do have proof of your absurd posturing tho

Going postal typically includes violence. You were wrong about that. Just saying.
you are not even a bit embarrassed are you? LOL!

I think you should quit trying to be right here. it's sounding silly and is past boring

I could have answered then but like I said it isn’t what I wanted to talk about. I want to talk about the video. I didn’t claim asking a question is obstructing justice, I agree it isn’t. I said her standing up and doing something was possibly doing that. Is there a video of any of that? If there isn’t, I maintain reasonable doubt about his guilt.

Cool. You don’t have to read my messages or reply if all you have to offer are just jabs at my comments.

I've already said what I believe about this video. I don't see how answering these questions is important at this point. You're free to believe whatever you want. I am going to go out on a limb and speculate we're going to disagree. For example, you think telling someone to not talk is a violation of their rights and that police officers who make mistakes are just as guilty as criminals who unknowingly break the law. It's difficult to hold a rational conversation under that pretense.

I guess you're probably an anti-cop activist hence the username EndQualifiedImmunity.
I am 100% confident you know I don't believe that simply telling someone to not talk is a violation. It's only a violation if there is a consequence or retaliation IF they don't do it. You know the difference and I don't know why you're pretending you don't.

As for being "an anti-cop activist" for having this username, I'm not sure how you come to that conclusion. Qualified immunity gives a pass to cops who unlawfully violate people's rights... When the people violate laws unbeknownst to them, do they get such qualified immunity? I disagree with "rules for thee, but not for me" while being anti-bad cop. Clearly you think this cop is a good cop... you even called him "tough". How sad is it to think a man in position of authority is "tough" for being belligerent with a woman who starts speaking to him the second he APPROVED of the conversation.

Face it, the real reason you refuse to answer the questions is because I've caught you repeatedly saying things that aren't true. You think we lose our right to free speech when we are arrested or detained. You were called out that the woman didn't even commit a crime according to state law. You speculate what the woman may have done when the cop told her to "sit down" and then say there are too many holes in the audio recording to take seriously, even though we have the audio from before the cop gets there to the time he becomes unhinged.

It's clear from your response (or lack thereof) you aren't here to have a discussion. You just want to avoid anything that debunks or makes it difficult for you to reconcile this officer violated her rights all the while citing her for something explicitly allowed in accordance to state law.

If you decide to answer the true/false statements, I would love to continue discussing this with you.

we all know that is not at all how it is. you have put yourself in the predicament of claiming something you cannot actually prove and that is not an easy place to be when everyone else on the thread is telling you that you are off in your musings

have fun with that

he also told me I was anti-cop AFTER I told him my dad had been a detective

very troll like behavior...I'm not saying he is a troll, but in this thread he is certainly acting the part

But doesn't that make you the troll for blatantly misrespenting my words?

In post #75 I said "Uhh postal? Yelling and cussing isn't postal. I think you probably just really don't like cops. Is that accurate?"

As you can see, I didn't tell you that you're anti-cop, I said I think you probably just don't like cops and followed up with the courtesy of asking if it's accurate. You need to get your eyes checked.

I won. I unequivocally proved the video doesn't prove what it alleges. So nothing to really say.

Don't be 100% confident about that because I believe you think that.

That's anti-cop because it would punish the 99% of the good cops for the errors of the minority.

Face it, the real reason you refuse to answer the questions is because I've caught you repeatedly saying things that aren't true. I don't think so. I don't want to answer those questions because I don't want to go down the rabbit hole of your choosing. You were attempting to control the conversation away from where I want it to go. I'll maintain control of what I want to discuss.

It's clear from your response (or lack thereof) you aren't here to have a discussion. You just want to avoid anything that debunks or makes it difficult for you to reconcile this officer violated her rights all the while citing her for something explicitly allowed in accordance to state law.
I could say the same thing to you.

If you decide to answer the true/false statements, I would love to continue discussing this with you.

The same thing almost happened to me and my two friends. I was in my early teens and on Saturdays after mowing, we'd use our bus stop as a hang out to talk and listen to the radio. Their parents built it and was like a little club house, no door and was facing traffic big open window. This was in the afternoon and we were just sitting there talking and my buddy says, shhhh! There's some guy running over hear with a gun!
We didn't have the sense to run away. He stooped down like some ninja wannabe, sneaking from bush to bush for a long ways. He gets to the window of the bus stop and aims the revolver at our faces. Then he yells at us and demands we answer his interrogation. We had no idea what in the world he was thinking or accusing us of. He just went off on us while aiming his gun at our faces. After a while, the cop took off.
Your story doesn't add up. First you said it was "some guy", then you said it was a cop.
So you were just sitting there minding your own business and a cop just randomly runs up and sticks a gun in your face?
I'm not buying this story

I'll try not to lose too much sleep over your attitude.

The cop wasn't in uniform. I will repost my friends quote below so you can read it r e a l l y slooooow.
Nobody recognized who he was until we saw his face up close.
I recognized that he was a neighbor cop.
You'd have to ask him why he did that. He wouldn't answer our questions. Perhaps he thought we were playing music too loud?
God only knows. Why does it matter to you?

Agree entirely. It's scary to think he still has a badge and a gun.

While I'm surprised by this cop's attitude, I am equally shocked none of the other "good cops" intervened to de-escalate the situation that was escalated by the officer.

Banned, good to see it. Comes on and all he posts about is bad cops. smh Not gonna miss this guy.
