I think they're going to codify abortion law.

I also think Biden is going to be leaving the office after the midterm elections.

Which is why more and more is being made of his public gaff's. Even by his wife's criticisms.

Then after he leaves we can get a load of Kamala Harris just long enough before the 2024 election.

God help us.
That woman!

Abortion is left up to each state to decide now, as per supreme Court so whoever's president is irrelevant

Currently but Democrats have already espoused having a federal law to make abortion legal.

Hello Cameroon.
Why is abortion elevated as a sin among Christians? What do we gain from this?

Thanks.

From a political standpoint, without life all other rights are rendered unnecessary.
From a moral standpoint, the image of God is embedded in each human being and to destroy any life is to destroy the image of God within them.

From a political standpoint , is this about life really or to get votes on a hot topic issue which happens to be controversial in USA only?

And from a moral standpoint, this is true for any other senseless death that’s happening around the world at this very minute.

So, i‘m not sure why this topic is elevated as a high sin among Christian circles.

Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness are supposedly guaranteed in the US constitution. These are not given by the government but endowments of God. Either one believes this or not. I do. But I also recognize that government is prone to tyranny and seems at every opportunity to strive to limit these things. Morally, we have an obligation to protect and help those who cannot do so themselves. You are right that all life is equally valuable and that there are those who will use any available topic to further their own ends but abortion has been a scourge on this nation for 50 years and is likely one of the major reasons the blessings of God has assuaged here.
I personally feel if a nation has diminished the value it places on life it has lessened its value of the Almighty. So for me, the value a nation places on life will correlate to the blessings or troubles that are to follow.

I see. So, this is is a personal view then.
Many other Christian nations like Greece where abortion is legal have different views on this too.
Also personally I think a man or woman who is unconscious and on life support for years, is more sinless compared to anybody else.
Now of course I realize that this is our human nature speaking and in the end God has the final say on what is sin or not.

I'm in a religion discussion group on Facebook that is mostly Christian and that's literally the only topic they talk about in that group

Proverbs 14:34...Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.

I know. It’s a bit baffling but everyone has a free-willed journey to make here.

While it is personal, I do believe it is biblically sound.
Also, I do agree that from a divine perspective all sin is equal in that it is all rebellion and all ultimately against God. But continual sin causes God to remove His hand of restraint and sin becomes more and more sinful.

Yes I also like your manner of communication too which is why I asked you this question, and not a conspiracy theorist.
Thank you.

On the subject of abortion, I feel like there would be fewer teen pregnancies if we encouraged contraception. I think it's pretty obvious that teaching abstinence only doesn't work
