Taking a quick lunch break then back to work! What has everyone got planned for this weekend? I know I will be helping out with a community fall festival. Going to go out and love on some people! Love God! Love people!❤️

I'm going to a Bible study meetup group in the morning. After that, there are many options and I'm going to decide tonight. I've been alone for some time, but I am considering a movie, even if by myself. I might decide to hit church Sat night instead of Sunday. I have hobbies I wish to indulge and maybe some house-cleaning. Oh.. God willing.. TV and extra sleep. Oh poop.. gotta hit the gym. Oh well.

I've got a 2 hr zoom meeting I must attend to be able to serve 4 days at the Election Polls, and I'm shopping for a car & will watch a movie on Saturday. Sunday, I participate in 2 live church services online and done by noon. Get garbage bins ready for Monday and need to finish cutting up a big branch for the green bin. Hopefully get take-out and relax later by picking a favorite sermon or Bible verse video to listen to. Finding the perfect car, from God, will be fun🙏🤩

Howdy Missie and welcome to the forum. You have chanced to land on the best part of the forum.

This started as a singles forum - not for singles to meet and date, but for singles to hang out and chat with others - but it has evolved into the default chill place for everyone to hang out. (Because we can't really bring ourselves to kick some very cool people out just because they committed matrimony...) :p

As for the weekend... Well my Friday and Saturday are hectic at McDonald's, so I will speak of my weekend which is Sunday and Monday. On my days off I always drive half an hour to a local farm for fresh milk, then go home and brew it up into a pot of homemade boiled custard.

After that I intend to be completely useless. In fact I plan to take a two-day vow of uselessness. The only thing I will do to bend that vow is to feed the dog.

Thank you for welcoming me to the forum. You have peaked my curiosity turning milk into a custard. I have never done that!

It sound like you have many options! The fall festival went great! A family I spoke with actually came to church today. ThenI went grocery shopping for the week. After that my daughter and son-in-love came over for dinner. Went to church today! We had an awesome service! Went out to eat and will be preparing dinner for everyone again tonight! Weekends go by way too fast! Back to work tomorrow!

It's pretty easy if you have an immersion blender. You know, the little spinning blade on a stick.

Half gallon milk
3 eggs
Quarter cup flour
Three quarters cup sugar.

Puree the crap out of it, then cook it on the stove till it boils. Then let it cool and puree the crap out of it again. Make sure you keep the bottom of the pan scraped off while it cooks.

Flavor with whatever you like: Vanilla, orange oil, cinnamon, etc. My favorite so far is almond extract.

No. Making friends (a term I don't use lightly), even buddies, gets harder as you get older. Moving from one city to another adds difficulty.
I am so sorry to hear that. Are you a member of a local church? My church family has always been so important to me. Some have been just as close as family.

Trying to be. Hard finding the right church. I am currently in regular attendance at one, so I guess I'll see how that goes.
