whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice. Philippians 1:18.

It's all about Jesus, each and every believer in Him can find Him. The Bible speaks of the certainty of knowing Him within the believer personally and to be made free and be in His rest that only Jesus can give. We are to build up one another, without doubtful disputations, without taking dominion over faith, not lording over God's heritage, but in sharing the testimony of Jesus Christ confirmed in us as is to be confirmed in every believer seeking Him. The only peace to have, He freely gives and no one else. Not railing against them that rail against you, but in love, we are nothing without Him as a believer in any of the denominations/non denominations that men have to learn about Him in. Paul rejoiced in these things. Paul at one time thought he was right in what he was doing and blameless before God, then counts it as dung and admitting he was chief of sinners because of his ignorance of the Gospel of peace, the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ, Jesus made him free and no one else.

Yes, we too often get caught up in wanting to look good in the eyes of men rather than simply obeying, serving, and loving the Lord. We must get the vertical relationship squared away first.

I agree, Paul talks about it in many different ways, as not to offend but to exhort them to continue on into becoming of full age in Christ Jesus, and also warn them about the stumbling blocks of one's own seeking as well as another's in their walk of faith too. I also enjoy how Jesus talked about it to His overzealous disciples in reflection of their own faith, to be as the younger.
