We now bring to you a message from our sponsor: if you relate to the following very angry
little girl, you may want to consider where that comes from and perhaps take a moment
to reflect on why you are angry?

Perhaps you have control issues?

Perhaps you are worried someone else does not agree with you?

There are different reasons for anger, but none of them look pretty...not even this child

ok...back to regular programming...or maybe change the channel?

You posted "wanna bet" to me. What's up?
You told RM there was nothing on your post they could refute. That was the source of my comment.
I've noticed they always refute true doctrine. While reaching accord with others posting errant doctrine.

sigh

he was talking to me and obviously meant the forum in general

the problem is YOU trying to control the conversation.

no one is owning a false interpretation but you are free to do so. what else is new? shrugs

perhaps own your own desire to take over here and make yourself judge and jury

this thread, as I already stated, has gone way past it's best before date

take a chill pill
There's another contrarían type who does that same thing. Enters and takes over a thread.
On or OT.

Is that typical here?

Yeah, you might be wrong about that.
Didn't Jesus tell us to turn the other cheek instead of repaying evil with evil?
Hi Ted it’s nice to hear from you after all of this time, but I'm not sure what your point is. Are you saying that as a victim I have sought revenge or repaid evil with evil? I know you read my comments, feel free to see I have not even once resisted the evil words against me.

That isn't what happened, but I am sure they appreciate you coming back to defend them.

This was actually just a Bible discussion until it wasn't. That wasn't my choice. I didn't control this conversation to the point it is now.

Maybe people should be careful about suggesting others are going to hell to use Wi-Fi, are liars, not Christian, and/or are atheists. This thread has become toxic, but I assure you that isn't my doing.

Seriously, you should try to read a bit more of the comment history. It isn't myself who needs a chill pill, but noted. If I respond anymore in this thread it'll be to those seeking a serious Bible discussion. God bless.

........

That's true. We are no longer reckoned as sinners. But we still are. We still sin. Every single one of us. And if you sin, you're a sinner. Through Jesus Christ, we are saved sinners.

Saved people should never ---ever call themselves a Sinner -----you are what you say you are ----
Paul must not have received that memo.

1 Tim 1:15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.

Also, read Romans 7.

A Saint should never see their old selves reflected when they look in a Mirror ------they should see the reflection of Christ Jesus ----

who do you see ----your old corrupted sinner self ---or your new uncorrupted Saint self -----how you see yourself is how you will act -----
We are to see the Christ in us, and do our best to reflect it.

Please proceed.
OK. I'll proceed again in trying to be more clear again.

My comment, ''wanna bet?'', was speaking to what you told Running Man in the prior post. My comment was clearly directed at your closing remark to him and that I put in bold red font so to make it stand out and therein be what my wanna bet comment pertained to.

More simply, you said RM couldn't refute your post, not a direct quote. I bet ya you were mistaken.

Clear now?💐❓

Christian=Christ Like.

Christ did not see himself as a sinner.
Though he did have a temper. Nothing wrong with that.
At times getting mad can keep us alive.

1 Tim 1:15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.
you had better do a research on that piece of scripture and you will find out that the chief here is in the past tense ------Paul is telling them that he was --used in the past tense the worst sinner -------

Your trying to take this one piece of scripture and make it say what you think it says ---he is not calling himself a sinner here

1 Tim 1:15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.

Strong's Exhaustive Concordance
first, beginning, best, chief
Contracted superlative of pro; foremost (in time, place, order or importance) -- before, , chief(-est), first (of all), former.

Paul is saying he was a former sinner here ---it is so important to do your research so you rightly divide the word ---not wrongly divide it -------

Jesus did get angry ---but it was righteous anger -------there is a difference between showing unrighteous anger and showing righteous anger -----Righteous anger will lead you in the right direction and keeps you from sin ---unrighteous anger leads to into sin and can cause you major grief ----

There is also righteous judgment -----which Jesus displayed with the Pharisees ------and there is unrighteousness judgment ----that the Pharisees displayed with Jesus who didn't conform to their man made rules -----

Your biggest error was when you addressed John 10:28 and COMPLETELY IGNORED the KEY phrase: "and they shall never perish".
I didn't ignore John 10:28. I showed you they get eternal life "in the age to come" according to Luke 18:30, but, in the meantime, those sheep who are still on earth can become lost and/or go astray then perish. This is referring to repentance and unbelief. I've quoted numerous verses and passages around the New Testament that prove it.

Matthew 18:10-14
10See that you do not look down on any of these little ones. For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of My Father in heaven.
12What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them goes astray, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go out to search for the one that is lost? 13And if he finds it, truly I tell you, he rejoices more over that one sheep than over the ninety-nine that did not go astray. 14In the same way, your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should perish.

You're going to have to read many things which Jesus wrote to full grasp His teachings.

I think that's what disruptive people seek to do in threads that speak of and to the Gospel particulars.

Hijack, engender confusion by insisting false doctrine is truth. Make it so contentious due to their collective efforts that Christians of peaceful intent avoid it.

I'd hope that doesn't happen often here. Ignoring the baddies is simple enough. Just scroll by. Limited repeat false doctrine rhetoric is boring. That energy is not a victim.

And if page after page of effort at correction has no affect, I think the dark intent is then impossible to ignore.

The Bible is available for anyone to read.
Not understand.

Then why does the New Testament continue to tell Christians to not sin if they aren't sinners anyway?

A Saint should never see their old selves reflected when they look in a Mirror ------they should see the reflection of Christ Jesus ----
Not the reflection of Jesus Christ immediately, but incrementally, degree by degree, we are transformed into that image and it probably won't happen in this lifetime. This is progressive sanctification.

1 Corinthians 2:18
18And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

who do you see ----your old corrupted sinner self ---or your new uncorrupted Saint self -----how you see yourself is how you will act -----

Those who are born again don't have a sinful nature, it repulses us. If we do sin we are cut through with guilt, shame, and will hit the deck with our knees and confess them to God. However, we live with our corrupted bodies, but it is no longer our new spiritual nature that wants to sin. Paul put it like this:

Romans 7:13-25
13Did that which is good, then, become death to me? Certainly not! But in order that sin might be exposed as sin, it produced death in me through what was good, so that through the commandment sin might become utterly sinful.

14We know that the law is spiritual; but I am unspiritual, sold as a slave to sin. 15I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do, I do not do. But what I hate, I do. 16And if I do what I do not want to do, I admit that the law is good. 17In that case, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.

18I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my flesh; for I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. 19For I do not do the good I want to do. Instead, I keep on doing the evil I do not want to do. 20And if I do what I do not want, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.

21So this is the principle I have discovered: When I want to do good, evil is right there with me. 22For in my inner being I delight in God’s law. 23But I see another law at work in my body, warring against the law of my mind and holding me captive to the law of sin that dwells within me.

24What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death? 25Thanks be to God, through Jesus Christ our Lord!

So then, with my mind I serve the law of God, but with my flesh I serve the law of sin.

Those who live believing they are still sinners are suffering from a terminal case of nominal Christianity.

The article is far from false.

The idea Christians are still sinners who sin is a weapon of the enemy.
@mailmandan a nominal Christian? 🤣
He’s one of CC’s cornerstones of Christian faith.
