Joy Reid claims that most Americans have NEVER heard the word 'inflation' until GOP introduced it
Sophie Mann For Dailymail.Com - Yesterday, November 4th, 2022 at 2:58 PM

Controversial MSNBC host Joy Reid has claimed that the word 'inflation' is not a standard part of the 'normal lexicon' of Americans, and that most people using it have learned it from political operatives during this midterm cycle.

Speaking with her network colleague Nicole Wallace, Reid said the 'only people I've ever heard use the word inflation are journalists and economists.'

The progressive host added that most people have 'never used that word ever in their lives' prior to this election cycle, in which Republicans are heavily favored for several reasons including the bleak economic forecast.

When President Joe Biden signed the INFLATION REDUCTION ACT into law this summer, do you think that he did so in spite of the fact that the VAST majority of Americans have no idea what the word "inflation" actually means, or do you think that Host Joy Reid might be mistaken.

I believe that Reid is a graduate from Harvard, so she must be intelligent enough to realize that the point she is attempting to make simply isn't true, so why did she say it do you think

Thanks!!

She's a liar given to exaggeration and speaking in absolutes of
things which she cannot know in order to influence the ignorant.

I would find it IMPOSSIBLE TO BELIEVE that a majority (or even a significant number) of people in the U.S. are ignorant of the term "Inflation" as it applies to the national economics in 2022. Joy Reid obviously should crawl back under her rock, if she's THAT IGNORANT.

Joy Reid holds Americans in very high regard

She considers Americans smarter than a potted plant, even smarter than her favorite potted plant. She even considers us smarter than cats and dogs. My two dogs understand some words but when I asked them what inflation meant they had no idea at all and got bored very quickly.

In fact Joy Reid would probably rank Americans right alongside Koko, one of the absolute smartest primates known to man.

It was more than just a whopper.

It was a carefully constructed argument, specifically designed to redefine terms into a rhetorical circumvention, and then use that circumvention as grounds for a further rhetorical misdirection... and it was done with a primary claim so unusual there would be no pre-existing arguments already standing against it. The whole thought process going into creating this "whopper" was very complex.

This was probably not something which a talk show host, with a bachelor's degree in film, just sitting around by herself, just happened to come up with.

The goal is to get people screaming at her rather than paying attention to the nuclear war about to break out or the surprise attack about to hit the US. She is simply a useful idiot willing to say and do anything.

I had thoughts along the same lines as well. Whoever these people
are should rename themselves from "think tank" to "stink tank."

Anyone who lived through the 70s knows what inflation means. I grew up in the 70s but my parents always talked about long gas lines, how no one could afford anything and shortages.

when you lie as often as she and others do, I think you start to loose touch with reality

you can't make this stuff up
