America: Flirting With Tyranny

There is currently a really informative series on NetFlix called "How To
Become A Tyrant". It's chilling to see just how many things going on right
now, right here in the USA, are in accord with the Tyrant's playbook. The
last twenty-one months in my country have been disturbing; and to think
there are yet twenty-seven more to go with the current administration.

Let me say just say this: Folks who don't think tyranny can't happen in the
USA are like a frog boiling to death by bringing its water temperature up
gradually so the poor stupid critter doesn't become alarmed.

We who are American wondered how the Italians or the Germans could let those movements take over. Well, we're seeing how right before our eyes. The modern Left is fascistic and is using classically fascist tactics to seize absolute power. '

Christian nationalism and the old gods
The question is not whether or not God, but a matter of what god we have.

A god functions to certify cultural values. Hitherto, many have been the gods of tribal glorification, only to die of obsolescence. When called to go forward, devotees of the old ways chose to become even more recalcitrant and vindictive. Too readily, gods served as a religious cloak for male dominance, militarism, white supremacy, xenophobia and gynophobia.

During a Götterdämmerung (twilight of the gods), distinguishing between the religious and the irreligious is fraught with perspective bias. In a cloud of confusion, the dying gods rage mightily, and an emerging affirming spirit is repelled by their crudity. Abject credulity is rightly matched by excoriating scorn.

Among the old gods, Christian nationalism is a travesty against a universal God. I perceive it to be the ultimate blasphemy. Retribution is an armageddon of its own making. Using God to justify violence is an offense to religious sensibilities.

In the face of today’s potential planetary catastrophe, religion is called upon to go global and adopt a cosmic theology. No one tradition will be in sole control. As the world is disintegrating, we must come together in common affirmation, “We, the planetary people.”
Yes, there comes a point at which the behavior of the old gods is so abhorrent that they must die that humanity might live. In transcending our differences, we can find our unity.
The gods are who we are. What God shall we be?

I guess I'll keep hearing it the rest of my life though. It sure is a popular one for the "sky is falling!" crowd.

I wasn't seriously alarmed until social media began blocking former US
President Donald Trump. And then the Government began fighting Covid
data that differs with Dr. Anthony Fauci's "science" and condemned it as
misinformation.

The military began weeding out dissidents, private enterprise began
politicizing their business models, parents are being gradually removed from
parenting, school children are being indoctrinated with Critical Race Theory
which is nothing more than a take-off on some of Vladimir Lenin's ideology,
and the Communist Chinese are working with US governments to set up
police stations in America.

But what really, really scared me is the FBI's conduct. It's become a US
version of the Ministerium für Staatsicherheit, a.k.a. the Stasi. Sadly, our
"old reliable" law enforcement agency has become politicized too right along
with the Teacher's Union and local school districts all across America.

You forgot to mention how the Left has used street mobs to intimidate their opposition into silence, a la Hitler's SA or Mussolini's black shirts.

Yep.. progressivism IS fascism. And, we wonder how the people of Italy and Germany fell for it.

When I heard of questions about the FBI's involvement in the Russian
collusion hoax and Hunter Biden's laptop, that did it.

We've been getting a lot of gloom seepage into Misc. Forum lately...

Could someone check the drains over in Conspiracy Forum? I bet somebody let them get clogged up again.

Every time their drains get clogged, the Depression Sessions spill over into Misc. Forum. Gonna have to send the maintenance man in to unclog them again.

I don't know if Trump did collude with russia, I don't think that was ever proven but what Russia did do in the 2016 election was create entire communities of fake Facebook profiles in order to propagandize americans.
They specifically targeted African-Americans to try to instill a sense of apathy so they wouldn't vote

Legally blind man who needs his cane to get back home in the dark was put in a cage for not kissing up to the sassy FEM who doesn't like the idea of an armed society. A blind man with a collapsed cane isn't permitted to have rights.
