Best Replies Thread

I thought it would be fun to start a Best Replies thread for entertainment, inspiration and appreciation purposes -- jumping right to excellent replies of various types.

They can be excellent replies of a more serious sort, or funny retorts.

Just quote the OP (original post) and then the Best Reply. (One can right-mouse-click on the REPLY link of each of the two posts, and select "Open Link In New Tab" thereby opening each into a new browser Tab, and then just cut/paste both posts into to your one post here.)

Have fun!

I cant be the only one who notice this. Extremly many christian women are married with a non-christian man.

God want christians to be married to christians.

99 % of times, the children innherent their dads religious views.

Why cant christian women wait until the right christian man show up and marry him? Why are christian women so desperate to getting married so
fast?

Since non-christian women are not intrestest in having christian husband, and neither is christian women, then it makes many christian males forced to live single their whole life.
I can certainly understand the frustration the OP is expressing. But I spoke up because the original post is written from the male point of view by a male author, and I want to assure the readers that it's not any easier for women.

A couple of single female friends and I were discussing an article written by a faithful single Christian woman who was a virgin, dedicated to church and service her whole life, and longing to be married.

But she was always passed over, and instead, witnessed the testimony of another woman who worked as a stripper, came to faith, and still found a good Christian husband. This woman even said she'd had so many lovers, she didn't know her count, but her husband accepted her as she was.

Which would be a lovely testimony of forgetting one's past but how many non-stunningly beautiful women would find that level of acceptance?

You can imagine how encouraging this is for women who never become strippers but are overlooked mostly because they don't look like one.

I saw this in my own hometown churches as well. Christian or not, most people will make exceptions for things like good looks or financial security.

At my Christian high school reunion, one of the formerly cool guys in my class proudly showed off his stripper wife. He had met her while drunk in a bar and she was one of the pole dancers. She was wearing cutoff jean shorts that showed half her butt and would have made Nicki Minaj look modest.

I was in a church for many years where a prominent member's daughter became a stripper and almost died from drugs, but there was always a bevy of guys at our church and sister churches in line after her, because she truly was a knockout, even though she wavered in and out of her chosen lifestyle.

Any other woman, especially if she was of plainer looks and/or overweight, was invisible in her presence.

So I can surely empathize with the OP's plight, but it's not just the Christian women who are allegedly choosing alternatives to Christian men.

Both genders are prone to things that lead them into making alternative choices, and I agree that it does keep a lot of us single.

For my own self, after watching what many others have gone through for the sake of being married...

I might just hold on to being single just a little while longer.
