James 1;
5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.

Do this , as you can see, that if you ask for wisdom from Him....
Romans 10:17

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Or just lay off for a time and then revisit. Sometime the messenger is to be disregarded but the message may be valid.
