In this forum I’ve seen a lot of things but I rarely see anyone mentioning miracles.
So, here I am creating one.

The miracle of the sun in Fatima, Portugal. Three children saw the Virgin Mary.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miracle_of_the_Sun

This man grew a leg.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miracle_of_Calanda

Virgin Mary apparitions in Egypt.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Our_Lady_of_Zeitoun

Virgin Mary apparitions in Mexico.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Our_Lady_of_Guadalupe

Padre Pio had stigmata in his hands.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Padre_Pio

That‘s all I can think for now but there is so much more and we are not even including personal testimonies here but these are sort of like large mass-events.
Personally I’ve seen an angel in a church and that’s a major miracle to me.

So go ahead add your miracles or feel free to comment.
I look forward to a colorful discussion. ;)

Saint Bernadette Soubirous, who, from February to July 1858 reported eighteen visions of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Lourdes, France.

Our Lady of La Vang (Vietnam, c. 1800).

Our Lady of Lourdes (France, 1858)

The Lady of All Nations (Netherlands, 1945..1959).

Our Lady of Pontmain in Pontmain, France (1871).

Our Lady of La Salette (France, 1846).

Our Lady of Laus (France, 17th/18th centuries),

It seems that these occurrences are somewhat misinterpreted by individuals involved in recording the facts. Some of the records were possibly intentionally altered while some records may have been misunderstood due to distance by time or other factors. This is my take.

I'm glad you are bringing up the subject.
Perhaps a list of claims of past miracles is fitting.
We were asked to keep the music forum to one song per thread. Are miracles not of as much importance as a song? The One Who has performed miracles in my life is worthy of many books. His Bible is full of them. I hope my brothers and sisters have answered prayers and miracles to share. I prefer each one have the honor and details for an entire thread a piece, but that's just my preference.

Just like all of us who now have come to recognize Jesus as our Savior, Kris's testimony is a miracle like all ours are. It may not be profound but Kris's 'struggle' is something to behold.

"But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all . . . to another discerning of spirits." 1 Corinthians 12:7, 10

"Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world." 1 Jon 4:1

"You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. They are of the world. Therefore they speak as of the world, and the world hears them. We are of God. He who knows God hears us; he who is not of God does not hear us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error." 1 John 4:4-6

We as individual believers have been given the ability by the Holy Spirit to test the spirits. We don't have to rely on "experts" in the Vatican to tell us what's true and what's false.

The listing of miracles at Wiki indicates the 'apparition' in 'all' cases, or most, is supposedly "Mary" and referred to as "The Virgin Mary'.
In consideration of my somewhat recent acceptance of, 'Christianity' and the realization of the 'Spiritual' existence of 'Beings' other than the physical 'Creation' there are still questions for which it seems there are no 'certain' answers.

The OP of this thread also testifies that he has seen with his own eyes an 'apparition'. Not having the opportunity to investigate any of these 'apparitions' it seems the only 'sensible' and possibly Biblical thing to do, is to accept these events as legitimate. This is appropriate as it is also appropriate to accept the Existence of God and the Bible.

This is the Biblical admonish of my understanding of 'faith'; the acceptance of the Bible is an act of 'faith' as is the acceptance of God and so it seems with 'miracles'. It seems there are verses in the Bible that support this understanding. The verse posted here is indicative of this acceptance and there are likely others and the 11th chapter of the book written to the Hebrews is replete with statements regarding 'faith' and possibly support the acceptance of these miracles posted and likely others.

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

My difficulty in better understanding these matters is also possibly Biblically understood as a lack of 'faith' and it seems there are various passages in the Bible to support this 'condition' as probable. A possible supporting passage is in regard to the Apostle Thomas's reactions recorded in the 20th chapter of the Gospel of John. While not dealing with 'apparitions' of Mary the passage does indicate certain characteristics of a lack of 'faith'. i.e. Difficulty in 'accepting' and possibly 'comprehending' matters of a 'Spiritual' nature.

Another passage which may be significant in considering these 'miracles' may be in the 9th chapter of the book of the Acts of the Apostles. The appearance of the risen Jesus to Saul indicates the likelihood that Saul was the only person of the group to both visually and audibly perceive the event. For the others it was an auditory occurrence only. This signifies the 'limitations' or 'capacity' of all involved to perceive the same event uniformly.

Those verses I considered and rejected as applying to these miracles involving 'apparitions.' It seems those verses are applicable more to the nature of individuals that are teaching and preaching the Gospel. It seems the visualization of 'apparitions' is another matter. My take on this is on this thread at post #9. While I am fairly new to all this, it does seem possible that the understanding according to that post is more in line with 'apparitions'. Maybe yes, maybe no? Seems that regarding 'apparitions' there is no definitive passages other than Hebrews 11:1 which is posted at #9.

How do you determine if a so-called miracle or apparition is true or false? What standard do you use?

TBD>>>Good question. Is a Satanic 'apparition' possible? There is a verse which records the word 'spirit' used in reference to the Apostles seeing Jesus walking on the water. Not sure if they thought 'good' or 'bad' spirit. Can't recall definitive visualizations of 'spirits' in scripture. Need more study on this?

There’s a mysterious icon in Pennsylvania which releases mhyrr/oil and this is baffling and a mystery.

https://www.uocofusa.org/news_171116_1

I was anointed with this very oil which smells like roses.

One day many months after I was anointed i was praying to God to heal some pains in my body which I was dealing with for a day. I prayed for hours.
Then out of the blue I smelled that same fragrance again. I was baffled and I moving my head up, down, sideways and smelling myself. Then I washed my face and nose …. And the smell was still there for 3 hours.

My pain went away and never came back.

Glory to God !

Therese Neumann
1896 – 1962

A3C96ECB-9543-439C-8F32-977F8E9C60BF.jpeg

Therese Neumann was a German Catholic mystic and stigmatic. On March 10, 1918, Therese Neumann was partially paralyzed after falling off a stool while attending to a fire in her uncle’s barn. She sustained more falls and injuries during this period. After one particular fall in 1919, she lost much of her eyesight. Therese reported that her eyesight was fully restored on April 29, 1923 — the day Therese of Lisieux was beatified (the first step to sainthood) in Rome. She said that on March 5, 1926, the first Friday of Lent, a wound had appeared slightly above her heart, but that she had kept this secret. However, she did report a vision of Jesus at Mount Olivet with three Apostles. On Easter Sunday, she claimed a vision of the resurrection of Christ. For several consecutive Fridays after that, she stated she was experiencing the Passion of Christ, supposedly suffering in her own body along with all his historic agonies. She especially suffered the Passion on Good Fridays each year. By November 5, 1926, she displayed nine wounds on her head as well as wounds on her back and shoulders (most of which are visible in the image above). According to several sources these wounds never healed or became infected and were found on her body at death. From the years of 1922 until her death in 1962, Therese Neumann said she had consumed no food other than The Holy Eucharist, and to have drunk no water from 1926 until her death. In July 1927 a medical doctor and four Franciscan nurses kept a watch on her 24 hours a day for a two-week period. They confirmed that she had consumed nothing except for one consecrated sacred Host a day, and had suffered no ill effects, loss of weight, or dehydration. Formal proceedings for her beatification were begun in 2005

In 1973, Sister Agnes Katsuko Sasagawa in Akita, Japan had visions of the Virgin Mary. On June 28, 1973, a cross-shaped wound appeared on the inside left hand of Sr. Agnes. It bled profusely and caused her much pain. On July 6, Sr. Agnes heard a voice coming from the statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the chapel where she was praying. The statue was carved from a single block of wood from a Katsura tree and is three feet tall. On the same day, a few of the sisters noticed drops of blood flowing from the statue’s right hand. The wound in the statue’s hand remained until September 29, when it disappeared. On September 29, the day the wound on the statue disappeared, the sisters noticed the statue had now begun to “sweat”, especially on the forehead and neck. Two years later on January 4, 1975, the statue of the Blessed Virgin began to weep. It continued to weep at intervals for the next 6 years and eight months. It wept on 101 occasions. Scientific analysis of blood and tears from the statute provided by Professor Sagisaka of the faculty of Legal Medicine of the University of Akita confirmed that the blood, tears, and perspiration are real human tears, sweat, and blood. They come from three blood groups: O, B, and AB. Sr. Agnes was also completely cured of total deafness. In June 1988, Cardinal Ratzinger (now Pope Benedict XVI) – head of the Office of Inquisition – judged the Akita events and messages as reliable and worthy of belief.

Greece.

Tinos Miraculous Icon
The Miraculous Icon of Virgin Mary in Tinos: The Church of Virgin Mary (also called Panayia Evangelistria) is probably the most important religious monument in the whole of Greece. It was built in 1823 by the Smyrniot architect Efstratiou to house the miraculous icon of the Holy Virgin. It is an impressive building created using the most expensive marble from Tinos, Paros, and Delos. It is at the end of a broad road which starts from the waterfront and ends up at its lovely pebbled courtyard. It is surrounded by offices, chapels and seven museums. To actually see the icon, you might have to wait in a long queue. The icon is always adorned with jewels that are mostly sent by devout people who have received a miracle.
The discovery of the icon
In June 1822, Pelagia, a nun from the convent of Kechrovounion had visions of the Holy Virgin who told her how much she had suffered after being buried under the ground for many years. The story goes on to say that she was instructed by the Virgin Mary to inform the elders of Tinos Village to begin digging up a piece of land in the field of Ant. Doxaras where they would find a sacred icon. Excavations began and on January 30th, 1823, a worker finally found the icon. These excavations were followed by detailed excavations which have revealed that this was the site of an ancient Byzantine Church and the temple of Dionysos.
The icon called Panagia Evangelistria translating into Our Lady of Good Tidings is a beautiful statue of the Virgin Mary kneeling with her head bent in prayer. Scholars say that the statue is older than the Byzantine Period and was probably the work of the Apostle Saint Luke. It was a sacred icon of the Byzantine church and was either lost or hidden during the Muslim invasions.
Once the icon was discovered, work on the church began. Even before the church was completed, pilgrims from across Greece were pouring in to catch a glimpse of the icon and worship it. There were many reports of miraculous healings that increased the fame of the church. Today it is one of the most venerated and respected icons in the whole of Greece. There are four huge festivals that are celebrated at this shrine, January 30th, the Anniversary of the finding of the icon, March 25th, the Annunciation of the Virgin, July 23rd, The Anniversary of the nun Pelagia and August 15th, the day of the Assumption of Mary.
The miracles
There have been endless recorded miracles that have taken place here. It is therefore hard to estimate the ones that have not been officially recorded. Here are a few of the miracles that have taken place here:
The icon's cover
The first recorded miracle talks of a cover of an unknown material that covered the icon. It was silky and glasslike and looked like it was made of earth and water. It protected the icon acting like a shield through the ages and kept it untouched. The son of G. Peridis was cured of the Plague when he uncovered the icon and took some of the solid matter along with holy water and wiped his son's armpits with it.
The elimination of the Plague
Many people believe that the Plague was eliminated right after the icon was discovered and attribute it to the icon.
One hundred coins
In 1823, the church ran out of money before it was completed. At about the same time, an English ship carrying the vice-consul of England, Eric Flick arrived at the port of Tinos. When the shop anchored, a terrible storm suddenly started and threatened to drown the ship and its people. It is said that the captain of the ship turned his eyes to the half-built church, calling for the Virgin Mary's help and promising to offer a hundred coins. Miraculously, the ship escaped unharmed and the English Captain gave one hundred coins to the Commission of the church to keep his promise.
A child healed
One account says that there was a woman called Mary from Mytilini whose child suffered from a strange and incurable disease. Expensive procedures and immense suffering later, Mary decided to finally ask the Virgin for her help. It is said that the child immediately vomited and out came to an octopus-shaped flesh. After this, the child was healed forever.
The Fishbone
Captain Sclavounos had a fishbone stuck in his throat for two years that just wouldn't come off. With time his throat got infected and he suffered greatly. On hearing about the miraculous icon, he immediately went there praying for relief from his torture when he suddenly had a violent fit of coughing which got the fishbone out.
Crippled healed
Dimitrios Xenos from Moldova was left crippled after he froze one cold night. He was sent to the church of the Virgin Mary where he stayed at the temple of Zoodochos Pigi where he remained as an inmate for four months. On Easter day he heard a voice calling out to him in his sleep asking him to stand up. He not only stood up but also walked much to the surprise of all the people around him.
Faith beyond medicine
Panagiota Nazaou from Falatados had an incurable wound. Her condition worsened so much that the wound developed into gangrene and the doctors were ready to amputate her leg. She turned to the Virgin Mary and was healed. Thereafter she became a nun in the monastery of Kehrovounio.
The fountain of Mustafa Aga
On the way to the church, you can see a marble fountain to the right of the yard. It is the offering of a Turk, Mustafa Aga who was crippled but was cured by the Virgin.
The orange tree
A rich Greek American who was blind asked the Virgin for her healing promising to offer whatever he saw first of his prayers were answered. He did get his sight back and the first thing he saw was an orange tree. He contributed a silver orange tree that you will see over the right candle counter of the church.

The cave of Patmos!
You know, where the apocalypse was written ?

Many people have been healed by touching the Rock which God spoke through to John.

04F1AB0E-0CE2-4E0E-B9A7-F8B47F8C53EA.jpeg
The cave entrance is marked with a mosaic portraying the visions of Ioannis and inside the small grotto, you can see the nightly resting place of Ioannis’ head, fenced off and outlined in beaten silver. Seven silver lamps have been hung in the cave of which the largest is above the place where the Saint slept using a rock as a pillow that still exists in the cave. Presently, a monk and/or spiritual leader sits on the rock and tells the story of the Apocalypse and how the book was written. The cave has a few niches in the stone from where John rested his head and another from his hand, in the shallow cave. Also, a triple fissure can be seen from where Saint John heard the voice of God and which represented the Holy Trinity.

Johnny Cash documentary seems like a miracle. Powerful and moving. Miraculous person Johnny Cash.

Firstly, let me say that I really liked Johnny Cash as a person, and his music. I liked Elvis as a person and his music also. I was a big fan of both. Secondly, let me say that it's not my place to judge anyone as being saved or unsaved.

But you claim that a documentary makes Johnny Cash seem like a saint,, "A Miraculour person'.

Unfortunately, both Cash and Presley outwardly professed to be Christians and sang many Gospel songs. But the reality of their lives is that both were drug addicts and had many adulterous affairs, including Cash's affair with June while she was married to someone else.

If one looks closely at the real Cash/Presley, it's hard to find Christian holiness..
