Merry Christmas

Praise the Lord all you nations, praise Him all you peoples.

Come, let us rejoice in the Lord! Let us proclaim the present mystery by which the partition has been broken and the flaming sword withheld: now shall the Cherubim let us all come to the Tree of Life.
As for me, I am returning to the bliss of Paradise whence I had been driven by the original disobedience. Behold, the Image of the Father has taken the form of a servant! He has come down to us from a Mother all-pure, and yet He has remained unchanged: He has remained true God as He was before, and has taken on Himself what He had not been, becoming Man out of His love for humanity.
Wherefore, let us raise our voices in hymns and sing: "O God who was born of the Virgin, O our God, have mercy on us!"

For your name's sake, O Lord, I have waited for you. My soul has waited for your promise, my soul has hoped in the Lord.
Vhen the Lord Jesus was born of the Virgin, the whole creation lit up. Behold: the shepherds keep watch, the Magi adore, angels sing hymns of praise and Herod trembles, for the Savior of our souls as appeared in the flesh.
From the morning watch until night, from the morning watch let us hope in the Lord.

O Christ our God, Your Kingdom is eternal and Your dominion endures from generation to generation. You have become incarnate of the Holy Spirit, being made Man through the ever-virgin Mary. Your coming, O Christ, has shed upon us a great light, O You Light of Light and Radiance of the Father! You have illumined the whole creation. Wherefore everything that breathes sings to You a hymn of praise, O Image of the Father's glory, eternal God, existing before all ages, who shone forth from the Virgin! O Lord, glory to You!

For with the Lord is steadfast love and in him is full redemption, and he will redeem Israel of their iniquities.

What shall we offer You, O Christ, who for our sakes appeared on earth as man? Every creature offers You thanks. The angels offer You a hymn; the heavens a star; the Magi their gifts; the shepherds their wonder; the earth its cave; the wilderness the manger, and we offer You a Virgin other. O pre-eternal God, have mercy upon us.

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, now and always and forever and ever. Amen!

When Augustus became supreme ruler of the world, the multiplicity of powers among men came to an end. When You became incarnate of the spotless Virgin, the worship of many gods had to cease. The cities came under a universal power, and the Gentiles believed in a single divine Power. Nations were registered in the name of Caesar Augustus, and we the faithful were registered in your name by Your incarnation. O Lord who are born, great is Your mercy! Glory to You!

Today a great and wonderful event occurs, a Virgin gives birth and the seal of her virginity is intact.
The Word becomes incarnate and yet is not separated from the Father. Angels sing hymns of glory together with the shepherds and we the faithful join our voices to theirs, singing out: "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace and good will towards all people."

The Lord said to my Lord, "Sit at my right hand."

Today the Virgin gives birth to the Creator; Eden offers a cave; a star proclaims Christ the Sun to those who live in darkness; the Magi enlightened by faith, adore Him and offer gifts to Him; the shepherds witness the marvel, and the angels glorify Him saying, "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace and good will towards all people."

I have given You birth from the womb, before the morning star.

When the Lord Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea, the Magi came from the East. They adored Him as the incarnate God, opened their treasures with eagerness and offered Him precious gifts - pure gold, to the King of the Universe; frankincense to the God of all; myrrh to the Immortal One, as if He were mortal, He who was to remain three days in the tomb. All you nations come and adore Him who was born to save our souls!

Glory to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Rejoice, rejoice Jerusalem; make merry all you who love Zion. Today Adam's bonds are loosed and paradise is opened to us. Behold, the serpent is brought to nought, seeing that woman he deceived has now become the Mother of the Creator. O, the depth, the richness, the wisdom and the knowledge of God. The very instrument of sin that had brought death to all flesh becomes today the first-fruits of salvation to the world, through the Mother of God. By her, the all-perfect God has become a Babe, being born without breaking her virginity's seal. By means of his swaddling clothes, He has loosed the chains of our sins; by his birth as a child, He has healed the pains and sorrows of Eve. Wherefore let the whole creation exchange glad tidings and rejoice, for Christ has come to renew it and to save our souls.

Now and forever, and to the ages of ages. Amen.

O Christ our God, You dwelled in a cave and a manger contained You. Magi and shepherds worshipped You, fulfilling the prophets forecasts. Angels marveled and cried out, "Glory to Your condescension, O You the only Lover of Humankind.

Your Nativity, O Christ our God, has shed the light of knowledge upon the world. through it, those who had been star worshippers learned through a star to worship You, O Sun of Righteousness, and recognize in You the One who rises from on high! O Lord, glory to You!

I love Christmas because

And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.

And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, good will toward men.

And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, ( angels are ascending and descending on the sion)

Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us.

And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, (see Matthew for Mary annd Joseph’s witnesses ) and the babe lying in a manger.

And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this child. ( that’s why we have it now )

And all they that heard it wondered at those things which were told them by the shepherds.

But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. ( see matthews perspective )

And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them. ( already the gospel is spreading by miracles and witness )

And when eight days were accomplished for the circumcising of the child, his name was called JESUS, which was so named of the angel before he was conceived in the womb. ( see Mary’s account in matthew)

And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and the same man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost was upon him. And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost, that he should not see death, before he had seen the Lord's Christ.

And he came by the Spirit into the temple: and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for him after the custom of the law,”

matthew makes fuller account and adds more witnesses filling in the blanks, this one is the angels , shepherds , and Simeon’s witness , elsewhere you have Mary and Joseph , the three “ wise men “ herods fear which led persecution and a mass slaughter of Gods youngest most innocent children. That’s another witness there’s a whole lot that revolves around Christmas in the scriptures that really begin to teach us the truth about the lord Jesus.

Like this this is working with the other witnesses of the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ for believers but also notice biblical concept starting with the promise made to Abraham : the father of many nations.

“The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.

Abraham begat Isaac; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat Judas and his brethren; (long geneology showing that Joseph , Mary’s husband , was of the line of Abraham through Judah which is the messiahs tribe of the promise) and Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.

Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost. ( she’s a virgin but she’s going to bear a child )

Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily.

( Joseph is going to marry her but now she has turned up pregnant before they were together so he’s thinking” it’s not gonna work out )

But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.

And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. “

Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, And they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife: and knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.”

So we have Joseph’s witness that Mary indeed was a virgin and also she gave birth to a son according to what God said by his angel before they ever “came together “

God does these miraculous things because he knows they will last and stand the test of time. He knew our lords north was important to Christian faith and it needed to last through persecutions of the church and of the Jews before.

So angels appear and speak his word to men and then miracles happen just like he said it would before it happens. And a son is born of a virgin like he said would be a “great sign “ in Israel for all
People and would be his salvation to all the nations beginning with israel.

The birth of Jesus is to me worth celebrating because without it , we could never have known the truth about the only God d how he really does love us and really did come to save us, even though it took him into death , where he crushed the head of Satan with his stricken heal of course death could not hold him , of course he would rise again

But first he delivered us who couldn’t

“Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; and deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham.


Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people. For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.”

Thank you Father for sending your son to died for the worlds sin. Rose and is seated at your right hand. Now and forever at your feet praising thanking you.

whose origins are from of old,
from ancient times.’
