Prayer is also a way to increase our faith as it helps us maintain an active relationship with God. In prayer we can also ask God to increase our faith. God knows our heart and longs to answer according to His will. Our growth in faith is certainly His will for our lives and a prayer He will grant.

Rather, we must:

  • Do what is right and serve the Lord because we know, trust, and love Him with all of our souls.
  • Harbor no thought that we deserve a reward or thanks for what we do, although rewards will surely come.
  • Humbly ask, seek, and knock.
  • Never demand anything of our Lord, because we are always in His debt.

THE POWER OF LIVING FAITH

What does it mean to have living faith?

Living faith means to strive to live as Jesus lived. This means to diligently do what the apostle John wrote: “He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked. … “For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome” (1 John 2:6; 5:3).

My view
How to increase your Faith is to step out of the Boat ---- ----and rely on and trust in the Living Word --- to do as it says it will do -and act on it ----Saving Faith comes by hearing the word ====to increase your faith it requires a positive response ----action ----by trusting God to do as He says He will do in His Word ----

Peter increased His Faith by focusing on Jesus --Who is the Word Folks --and put His faith into action by stepping out of the boat ---- and he walked toward Jesus on the water till he lost his focus on the Word ---Jesus ---then he sank ---

Increase Your Faith in God by acting and doing what this says and put all your trust in God that he will do as He Promises here ---He even says Test me on this =====step out on your faith and be doers of the Word Not just Hears -

Malachi 3:10

New International Version

10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.

Faith requires action ---and Trust to increase

amen thanks for sharing I would add one more to your very good list

As Christian’s we want to make sure we are being taught by the right word in the Bible we really want to begin with Jesus and what the four gospels establish.

“Forasmuch as many have taken in hand to set forth in order a declaration of those things which are most surely believed among us, even as they delivered them unto us, which from the beginning were eyewitnesses, and ministers of the word;

it seemed good to me ( Luke ) also, having had perfect understanding of all things from the very first, to write unto thee in order, most excellent Theophilus, that thou mightest know the certainty of those things, wherein thou hast been instructed.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭1:1-4‬ ‭

And this word should draw us to it

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
‭‭John‬ ‭5:24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

his word negate faith because he’s speaking it with an oath to the hearer

“You Hear and accept my word and believe me

and I will give you everlasting life and not condemnation “

Our faith is built on Jesus so as Christian’s we want to start from the gospel and spread out towards the rest but always remember who we dwell in Jesus the son and not Moses and Israel the servant

The prophets are powerful to faith even just hearing the stories of men like Daniel in the lions den , shadrach meshach and abednego thrown into the fiery furnace

Amy daddy used to read those by candlelight To us I realize now how they offer faith as we hear and believe them even those ot true witnesses build faith but it’s really for a Christian rooted within the gospel of Jesus the Christ

Music is a good one. When I was young and my father made me do things,it was never good enough even when I did it right. It just made me complicate simple instructions as I grew up.But when God puts something in my heart and I find it in scripture,no way would I have understood or accept it without him revealing it to me.Some times I'll get an understanding but not the bigger picture, and then one day God will put it in my heart and bam! I'll see what he was leading me to at the end of the road.God is amazing! I know he doe's things differently for all his people.

Matthew 11:30
For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Keep your heart and your mind on the things of God.The Holy Spirit sits on the mercy seat in the temple, and Jesus is the head of the church.Keep those areas for God.

On earth as it is in heaven. In my experience when I can't stop thinking about God I kind of zone out and pace around to the point where I'll start feeling like I got my head in the clouds. You ever feel like that for God and you get light headed?
You have your head in the clouds,he's the head of the church. He's in the clouds!Get it?
Crazy right?! on earth as it in heaven.

That's what you want. That's where he is.He just reveals more of his self when you're there. If you're down and broken,go there.Read his word and keep your heart and mind for him.

The music topic though.Has any ever feel their hands are heating up like they're on fire when you are in song worship? You have your hands up to the heavens singing your favorite songs praising God and you can feel it in your hands.
I use to think why am I feeling this? It's because your hands are in the image of his word.10 fingers for the commandments. The thumbs for the covenants. The make straight line going from your left hand(Old Covenant) to the right hand(New Covenant)
Your hands are on fire like the flaming sword that guards the tree of life.

To Increase your Faith ------step out of yourself and put your Faith and trust in God and watch your Faith grow in Him to do as He says He will do ----Faith requires action -------be a doer of the Word not just a hearer ------

Matthew 11
28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

Again with Giving ------
Stept out of your boat and put your Faith into action with your giving following His instructions on how you should give and trust He will do as He says in His word -----this will increase tour Faith and Trust In Him ----

Luke 6:38 NIV

38 Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”
