On the Jewish law of agency I was mentioning: from https://thehumanjesus.org/2017/04/09/shaliah-the-law-of-agency/

The Encyclopedia of the Jewish Religion, R.J.Z. Werblowsky, G. Wigoder, 1986, p. 15.
“Agent (Heb. Shaliah): The main point of the Jewish law of agency is expressed in the dictum, “a person’s agent is regarded as the person himself” (Ned. 72B; Kidd, 41b). Therefore any act committed by a duly appointed agent is regarded as having been committed by the principal, who therefore bears full responsibility for it with consequent complete absence of liability on the part of the agent.”

So this in relation to Jesus doing things 'by the hand of the Father'--- saying 'I am the Father are one'.. and 'if I do things by the hand of the Father' etc..

Those hearing Jesus say that as Jews would see that as “a person’s agent is regarded as the person himself” -- so the reason for wanting to stone Jesus and accusing Him of blasphemy. They would see Jesus claiming equality with the Father.

The only thing would be.. I guess the second part of the definition of this wouldn't so much apply to Jesus with the agent having no liability. Jesus would carry the liability as much as the Father would.

1 Jn 3:16: God laid down His Life for us. Hence, Jesus is God:

"16Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

Who laid down His Life for us? Jesus! But whom does the Bible say laid down His Life for us? God. Hence, Jesus is God. Simple. :)

It must be closely noted that Paul always referred to the Father as God and Jesus as Lord; Peter also did the same and Jesus also did the same.
1 Timothy 2:3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour

1 Saviour and he is God Isaiah 43:11, Jesus is the saviour of the world 1 John 4:42

Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. = Jesus

He also said

10 Not purloining, but shewing all good fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour in all things.
11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,
12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;
13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
4 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

That's why Jesus said you must be born again, God sends the spirit of his son into our hearts that cries out father

God and Jesus are both saviors. God sent Jesus so God is the savior. Jesus did all his Father required of him so Jesus is also the savior. However, Jesus, Paul, and Peter always made distinctions between God and the Messiah.

I'll just show some verses that say such.

God the savior:
1 Timothy 1
1Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the command of God our Savior and of Christ Jesus our hope,

1 Timothy 2
3This is good, and pleases God our Savior,

1 Timothy 4
10That is why we labor and strive, because we have put our hope in the living God, who is the Savior of all people, and especially of those who believe.

Titus 1
3and which now at his appointed season he has brought to light through the preaching entrusted to me by the command of God our Savior,

Jesus the savior:
2 Peter 1
11and you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

2 Peter 2
20If they have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and are again entangled in it and are overcome, they are worse off at the end than they were at the beginning.

2 Peter 3
18But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.

The Doctor months ago told him his lifting limit was less than 20 lbs. He is altistic and wants to please everyone. My should surgery limit is a cup of coffee and I seen to be able to lift a lot more than before with my good shoulder.

Some call that discernment.
Some call that malarkey.
First time I've heard it called pain but frankly that's as good as either of the others.

Pain does work for what you posted. However I was referring to the pain of complete shoulder surgery. I learned today the cost of the metal they put in my shoulder was more expensive then our two cars. I told my wife when I go to heaven to have the undertaker remove the metal, clean it and give it to her. Then to find a finacial adviser to sell the metal. Back in March the value of that metal was $75,000 currently worth $52,000. Checking its history it is always of higher value in the middle of summer due to demand.

I agree with the Father being distinct to the Son. Not one persona. Two personas. And with the Holy Spirit .. three distinct personas. But actual seperation I don't see. Because the way the interelate isn't of seperateness. What the Father does, the Son does and the Holy Spirit does.

Jesus sends the Comforter-- yet it is Jesus who can be 'in the midst' of a church.

So.. just to clarify I don't see Jesus as the Father. But because they are part of the one triune God.. they are not seperate in that way.
I have always wondered if the Son of God, Father and Holy Spirit have one will or three wills.
Clearly as a man Jesus would have a human will.

Agreed, but what verse says the Son of God freely renounced all the privileges of his power to come down from heaven? When did the Father give it back?
I will be kicked off soon.

As to the question, When did the Father give it back?

I am guessing it has to do with glory.

Mark 10:37
They asked him, “Let us sit in your glory, one on your right and one on your left.”

Luke 24:26
The Messiah had to suffer these things and then enter his glory, didn’t he?”

John 8:54
Jesus answered, “If I were trying to glorify myself, my glory would mean nothing. It is my Father who glorifies me, of whom you say, ‘He is our God.’

John 17:5
“So now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world existed.

John 17:24
Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am and to see my glory, which you gave me because you loved me before the creation of the world.

Acts 7:55
But Stephen, filled with the Holy Spirit, looked straight into heaven and saw the glory of God and Jesus standing at the right hand of God.

Revelation 4:11
“You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory, honor, and power, because you created all things; they came into existence and were created because of your will.”

Revelation 5:12
They sang with a loud voice, “Worthy is the lamb who was slaughtered to receive power, wealth, wisdom, strength, honor, glory, and praise!”

Revelation 5:13
I heard every creature in heaven, on earth, under the earth, and on the sea, and everything that is in them, saying, “To the one who sits on the throne and to the lamb be praise, honor, glory, and power forever and ever!”

Revelation 14:7
He said in a loud voice, “Fear God and give him glory, because the time for him to judge has arrived. Worship the one who made heaven and earth, the sea and springs of water.”

This is only my guess to answer your question, brother, friend.

Thank you very much sir for posting those verses ! :)

God and Jesus are both saviors.
There is one savior.....Isaiah 43:1 but he saves from many things, You need to ask who can save your soul

Ephesians 4:5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

The baptism isn't water

John talked about one that would come after that would baptize with Holy Ghost and with fire

To a degree.. but He would always do the will of the Father. Bound to it perfectly.
Hi wattie, Some verses for thought or to discuss

Hebrews 10:7 Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.

Isaiah 55:11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

As an example "thy word is truth. " John 17:17"

"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

So the word will always testify of the truth

The way i see it is Jesus will is to glorify his Father in heaven, and the work of God is to believe in the one that he sent

I have always wondered if the Son of God, Father and Holy Spirit have one will or three wills.
Clearly as a man Jesus would have a human will.
He laid it down to do his fathers will, pretty cool he went into the desert weak and starving confronting the enemy as his weakest in the form of man been tempted on all sides yet without sin, Id want to chuck him off the cliff.....wouldn't be ideal, hope your shoulder is doing ok, i can kinda relate.......not to the expensive metal but maybe the the pain associated, wish you all the best

1. God the Father does the saving.

John 3:16,17
16For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

2. All things came from God the Father.

1 Corinthians 8:6
6yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live.

3. The gospel came from God the Father and was given through Jesus Christ.

John 7:16
16Jesus answered, “My teaching is not my own. It comes from the one who sent me.

4. Salvation is the gift of God the Father.

Ephesians 2
8For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—

5. The gospel of the power of God the Father.

Romans 1:16
16For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.

6. God the Father did all of the saving through Jesus Christ.

Titus 3:4-6
4But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, 5he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, 6whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior,

7. God the Father gives eternal life if someone is in Jesus Christ.

Romans 6:23
23For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
