I was saved after an extremely sinful 38 years.
“And, behold, a woman in the city, which was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at meat in the Pharisee's house, brought an alabaster box of ointment, and stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment. Now when the Pharisee which had bidden him saw it, he spake within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what manner of woman this is that toucheth him: for she is a sinner. And Jesus answering said unto him, Simon, I have somewhat to say unto thee. And he saith, Master, say on. There was a certain creditor which had two debtors: the one owed five hundred pence, and the other fifty. And when they had nothing to pay, he frankly forgave them both. Tell me therefore, which of them will love him most? Simon answered and said, I suppose that he, to whom he forgave most. And he said unto him, Thou hast rightly judged. And he turned to the woman, and said unto Simon, Seest thou this woman? I entered into thine house, thou gavest me no water for my feet: but she hath washed my feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head. Thou gavest me no kiss: but this woman since the time I came in hath not ceased to kiss my feet. My head with oil thou didst not anoint: but this woman hath anointed my feet with ointment. Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little. And he said unto her, Thy sins are forgiven. And they that sat at meat with him began to say within themselves, Who is this that forgiveth sins also? And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace.”

same boat we’re all in brother , 38 years 12 years fifty years we are the prodigal everyone just needs to remember home and who is there
but today is always the day that matters

So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.) Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end; while it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation. For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses. But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness? we learn lessons from the ot lessons happen when we take it to heart what the Bible is teaching us to believe ( faith )

salvation comes into our mind and heart because we hear and believe what Jesus said in the gospel
“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”
John 5:24 KJV
as believers who believe Jesus died for us need to start getting to know him by hearing and sharing the witnesses of the gospel , We’re able to hear, whether that is to share what we know about Jesus “dying for sin and being raised up to life “
some people really have a good understanding of that and good solid faith in it they should share that it’s the gospel , is when they go beyond that and start saying things to eliminate the word of the lord and his authority from the gospel pertaining to salvation they are subverting faith
It will always be true “Jesus died for my sins and was raised to life for my justification “
And the rest of the gospel the words of the lord teaching us what to believe about salvation , about him , about our own self , about our fellow man both male and female, he teaches us all the promises we believe all the comfort and assurance we can have if we just start letting Jesus teach us because we believe in him.
It doesn’t matter how much we grasp but how much we let be true the place to begin is Jesus law of mercy
forgive and youll be forgiven said Jesus the Lord
It’s
okay for us to say “ I believe Jesus died for my sins
and I also believe what he said as he was headed to the cross that he said would save my living soul
that’s a covenant you tell everyone the covenant word and then you shed the blood of remission for the covenant
