So, yesterday, Argentina won the World Cup, and Lionel Messi played beautifully. Messi made the Sign of the Cross when he scored a goal. He also has a Tattoo of Jesus Christ wearing the Crown of Thorns on his arm. Pic from Facebook:

Yes, and since some 5 BILLION people watch the Football World Cup, Billions would have seen Jesus Christ publicly glorified by Lionel Messi:
"FIFA World Cup Could Be Viewed By Five Billion People, More Than Half Of The World’s Population"

“Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven."

If it weren't for people talking about the world cup every year on facebook, I wouldn't even know it existed. I don't think most Americans are interested in it. That's some good artwork on the tattoo though

Right, Dude. Interestingly, the next 2026 Football/Soccer World Cup will be in America, and also Canada and Mexico. It will also have 48 teams. Probably 6 BN people worldwide will tune in to see that.

Source: "The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be the 23rd FIFA World Cup, the quadrennial international men's soccer championship contested by the national teams of the member associations of FIFA. The tournament will be jointly hosted by 16 cities in three North American countries: Canada, Mexico, and the United States. The United States will host 60 matches, including every match from the quarterfinals onward, while neighboring Canada and Mexico will each host 10 matches. The tournament will be the first hosted by three nations.[1][2] Argentina are the reigning champions, having defeated France 4–2 on penalties in the 2022 final." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2026_FIFA_World_Cup

Also, this from Nov. says some 30% of Americans watch: "With or without a huge U.S. audience, soccer remains the global game. Over the course of the tournament, the 29-day World Cup is expected to draw 5 billion viewers, more than half of the world’s population. FIFA said that over 105 million Americans tuned into the 2014 World Cup — the last time the U.S. national team qualified — and watched at least 20 minutes of a match. It’s fair to expect an even bigger turnout in 2022.

Not only is the U.S. team playing this time, but soccer in America has grown in popularity since they last qualified. About 1 in 3 adults (32%) now consider themselves to be soccer fans — and that group is younger and more diverse than the general U.S. sports fan, pointing to a promising future for the sport in America. A solid performance by Team USA in Qatar would go a long way toward that future coming quicker." https://morningconsult.com/2022/11/21/world-cup-2022-american-fan-viewership/

Soccer in America is not popular because it’s not part of the culture and they’ve tried to push it here since the 60s with Pele.
But I don‘t think it will work so I’m not sure why they keep trying.

It’s kinda like trying to make baseball popular in Europe . It will never work.

For those who love a particular sport, they will follow it anyway no matter where they are.

Not clear if I follow. Are you saying that Tatoos and images of Jesus glorify Him?

Are you saying these verses no longer apply Lev 19:28, Ex 20:4, Matt 5:18?
