For believers who have abandoned entertainment media as their source of information, this will be redundant...

During deposition (yesterday) in Dominion's defamation lawsuit (for $1.6 Billion), Sean Hannity said that he "did not believe for a second" that widespread fraud had taken place in the 2020 election. Furthermore, Hannity’s disclosure — along with others that emerged from court Wednesday about what Fox News executives and hosts really believed as their network became one of the loudest megaphones for lies about the 2020 election — is among the strongest evidence yet to emerge publicly that some Fox employees knew that what they were broadcasting was false.

So, for those who count themselves as believers in Christ I have a question: how much more time will you give Fox News, and places like it, that lie to you to increase their advertising revenue?

well, it was a lawsuit trial, so maybe he did that to cover his rear and not be part of the litigation....

Good question. Christians should have BOYCOTTED Fox News at least since 2016. All the media -- including Fox -- lie to the public daily and as a result have done extremely serious damage.

Difference being he was under oath during the deposition. He can get away with lying on his show. There are consequences for lying under oath.

For years now I've heard Fox News referred to as Faux News.

CNN=Corrupt News Network

Can we ever trust any corporate media outlet?

I don't watch the news or read the paper. The news I respond to on the board here is what brings news topics to my attention.

I'm all for good news. Stay positive.

Hey Aaron, I'm very unclear about what your specific point is.

Are you saying Christians should not listen to Fox news, or Christians should not listen to any conservative news, or christians should not listen to any news at all... or are you saying something else entirely?

I'm sure you have some specific point, and I have no idea what it is.
Please clarify,

Thanks, and I hope you have a great Christmas.

This.

Except I don't avoid news, I watch both sides. CNN takes a kernel of truth and pushes it left, Fox takes a kernel of truth and pushes it right. You can't be ignorant of the times. But you have to know how to find the center. Hiding your head in the sand is negligent - and dangerous. Just as is embracing one side over the other.

Curious, what news do you increase the advertising revenue for?

Not with Tucker Carlson or some of the others they have on the station.

Sorry, the American Left is now a fascist movement. I used to periodically give CNN & MSNBC a listen. No more. Things have gone way off the deep end now. At least on FNC I don't hear people calling free speech "white supremacist".

I'll stick with the Kirks, Shapiros, Prager and Carlsons. Sometimes Gutfeld. You guys can go on thinking they're all equally bad, as some of you do. I can't help that.

If someone knowingly and intentionally lies to me with the goal of manipulating me I will no longer listen to them. NY Times, Facebook, WAPO, CNN, MSNBC, NBC, Twitter are all on that list. I do not listen to Sean Hannity, so this story is not really relevant since I don't listen to him anyway.

That said I would point out that this whole "widespread fraud" is a way to manipulate people with the language. In any election there are probably 10 swing states. Those are the states that will determine who wins. So there is no need to have election fraud in 40 states, or 80% of states, to steal an election. If you only have election fraud in 10 states would that be considered "widespread"?

Second a swing state is one where the difference in the votes will be around 1-2%. So even if you are going to steal an election by fraud in one of these states the fraud would not affect 90% of the ballots. So then you could have massive fraud and yet only have 1% of 20% of the votes be fraudulent. That means that 99.8% of the votes were legitimate, would you call that "widespread fraud"?

So "I believe that the 2020 election was stolen but I never for a minute believed there was widespread election fraud" can be a true statement. In my mind 99.8% of the votes could have been legitimate and yet the election was totally stolen.

If I was under oath in a courtroom I would also say I don't believe in "widespread election fraud". That doesn't mean I don't believe the election was stolen, they didn't ask me that question.

The real issue is whether machines are being used everywhere (and presumably they are, since everyone acts like lemmings today). If that's the case, then there is widespread election fraud.

Bro... perfectly said.

I was thinking this, but I am hating these idiotic conversations on this site with Christians who really need to be better-engaged in the culture war, that I decided against chiming in about this "widespread" nonsense. But, it looks like I didn't have to.

Don't listen to any one/source that lies to you for their benefit.

Now that Fox News can be seen for what it is, no one who values the truth should pay it any mind.

I wish I could read the entire deposition but, alas, Fox Corporation has sued to keep it under wraps.

Aside from the inner workings of the network (aka proprietary information) do you think the public has a right to know to what extent the staff at Fox promoted information that they knew wasn't true?

It's important to examine Fox vs the others mentioned: Fox claims to represent conservative/patriotic Christian values. The other sites mentioned make no bones about their disdain for God, Christians, conservatives, etc. We should not expect the truth from them except for the "truth" they believe.

Of course the public has a right to know. But you will NEVER get the truth from any of the media. Nor from the government. Nor from the medical establishment and public health agencies. It is now TOTAL WAR against the public.
