"The Law and the Prophets" refers to the entirety of the OT Scriptures as a whole (take note of Matthew 7:12 in my signature line below too). "The Law" by itself refers to the Pentateuch/Torah, the 5 Books of Moses/Genesis - Deuteronomy.
