As we know the Old Testament describes animal sacrifices, the blood, to cover the people's sins.

Whereas Christians know our sins are put under the blood of the unblemished Lamb of God, Jesus. The last sacrifice for sin.

Why then do Jews not continue to sacrifice animals for their sins?

For all intents and purposes, the Jewish practice of animal sacrifice ended in AD 70, the year that the Romans destroyed the temple in Jerusalem. With the temple gone, there is no longer a place for the sacrifices to be offered according to the Mosaic Law (see Deuteronomy 12:13–14). Repeatedly in the Old Testament, the point is made that sacrifices were required to make atonement for sin (e.g., Exodus 29:36; Leviticus 4:31; 9:7; 14:19; 15:15; Numbers 15:25). The shedding of blood is what consecrated things and people to the Lord (Leviticus 16:19; cf. Hebrews 9:22).

With no blood sacrifice today, the Jews have no lawful way of atoning for their sin. Passover is still observed, but without the sacrifice. Yom Kippur (the Day of Atonement) is still on the calendar, but there is never an offering made for sin. The stipulations of the Mosaic Law remain unchanged, but the Jewish people cannot make things right with God—they cannot find forgiveness—without an animal sacrifice.

Modern Jews believe that forgiveness of sin is obtained through repentance, prayer, and good deeds. They use verses like Hosea 6:6 to devalue the need for sacrifices: “I desire mercy, not sacrifice, and acknowledgment of God rather than burnt offerings.” Still, it is hard to overlook such passages as Leviticus 17:11, “The life of a creature is in the blood, and I have given it to you to make atonement for yourselves on the altar; it is the blood that makes atonement for one’s life.”

The fact remains that there is no forgiveness without the shedding of blood (Hebrews 9:22). The animal sacrifices of the Old Covenant have been replaced by the once-for-all sacrifice for sin given by Jesus, the Messiah. As Jesus established the New Covenant, He “died as a ransom to set them free from the sins committed under the first covenant” (Hebrews 9:15).

Within a generation of Christ’s sacrifice, the Jewish temple was destroyed; the need for animal sacrifices no longer existed, for Christ had fulfilled the righteous requirements of the Law (Matthew 5:17). Animal sacrifices were merely a type of the perfect Sacrifice—the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world (John 1:29). The sacrifice of Christ paid the debt of sin for all mankind, both Jew and Gentile (Romans 1:16; Hebrews 9:12–15).

I say ---Sin for all people has been dealt with -------Jesus was the perfect sacrifice for all time ------Today you need to receive Jesus in your heart to be made right with God -------

The Jews who refuse to acknowledge and receive Jesus --- are a doomed race at this time -----but God saves His First Chosen Race who are the 144,000 --the 12 tribes of Israel -God marks to preach the Gospel during the tribulation ---- God Keeps his Covenant with them and brings them through the Tribulation unharmed -

You go to hell today for rejecting Jesus who took all sin for all people for all time

As the book of the Revelation says, they claim to be jews but are not.

there’s no earthly temple or altar anymore those things were only shadows of what’s in heaven it was destroyed about 2000 years ago

Even if they wanted to sacrifice animals still there’s no temple , altar , no holy of holies for them to sprinkle the blood no ark of the testament no mercy seat ect everything required to fulfill thier ordinances revolves around the temple , the altar and the inner room as well as holy of holies

there’s no earthly man made temple anymore so they can’t perform thier ordinances and sacrifices God stopped accepting them long before Jesus came

“Hear the word of the LORD, ye rulers of Sodom; give ear unto the law of our God, ye people of Gomorrah. ( he’s talking to israel )

To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith the LORD: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats. When ye come to appear before me, who hath required this at your hand, to tread my courts? Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; the new moons and sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away with; it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting. Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth: they are a trouble unto me; I am weary to bear them. And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood.

Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil; learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.

Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:

but if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.

How is the faithful city become an harlot! it was full of judgment; righteousness lodged in it; but now murderers.”

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭1:10-21‬ ‭

“How is the faithful city become an harlot!”

That’s what this is all about

“And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:( Jerusalem )

And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne. ( messiah Jesus )

And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭12:1, 5-6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters:

So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:

and upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.

And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭17:1, 3-6, 18‬ ‭

How is the faithful city become an harlot!”

What do the Jews do then?
Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. This was always the case. Jesus said of Abraham that he rejoiced to see My day. It's not that Abraham fully understood everything. But he clearly believed in the resurrection and that God would provide Himself a Lamb.
Even if they had a temple and made sacrifices, they wouldn't be accepted. I believe it was a grace of God as well as a judgment when the temple was destroyed. And perhaps an ongoing grace that it hasn't been rebuilt.

There are also Messianic Jews who accept Jesus as the Messiah . .. but don't put Him on a level with the Father and reject all other NT books aside from the 4 gospels.

All Jews are Messianic. Most just missed Him.

As we know the Old Testament describes animal sacrifices, the blood, to cover the people's sins.
Theirs was faith combined with works.

Their Faith was dead faith and still is today ----it was not God's Faith ------God's faith relies on the unseen ---and the Jews today rely on the see laws and work to keep them ---which they cannot do ----------their hearts are away from God -------and even though they have heard the scriptures their hearts remained hardened to accepting Jesus as their Saviour -------God allowed the Jews Hearts to remain Hardened toward Him ------as He had a plan in Place from the beginning to rescue His Chosen and keep and fulfil His Covenant with Abraham-----

Without God intervening and Marking the Jews to do His work during the 7 year Tribulation all Jews today would be Doomed to Hell ----

Even if the Jews were to go back to animal sacrifices it would do them no good ---------Without Jesus they are doomed ------Period

But God out of His Agape ---Grace and Mercy ------saves His Chosen in the end -------this is God's Agape --love story to a Jewish Nation who totally reject His Son and what He did for them on the Cross -----

No greater Love is there than this -------God draws the Jews to Him and Opens their hearts to receive His Word ------and sends them out into the Word to preach to all the unsaved during the Tribulation

144,000 Sealed
7 After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth to prevent any wind from blowing on the land or on the sea or on any tree.

2 Then I saw another angel coming up from the east, having the seal of the living God. He called out in a loud voice to the four angels who had been given power to harm the land and the sea:

3 “Do not harm the land or the sea or the trees until we put a seal on the foreheads of the servants of our God.”

4 Then I heard the number of those who were sealed: 144,000 from all the tribes of Israel.

5 From the tribe of Judah 12,000 were sealed,
from the tribe of Reuben 12,000,
from the tribe of Gad 12,000,
6 from the tribe of Asher 12,000,
from the tribe of Naphtali 12,000,
from the tribe of Manasseh 12,000,
7 from the tribe of Simeon 12,000,
from the tribe of Levi 12,000,
from the tribe of Issachar 12,000,
8 from the tribe of Zebulun 12,000,
from the tribe of Joseph 12,000,
from the tribe of Benjamin 12,000.

Why then do Jews not continue to sacrifice animals for their sins?
Because they have neglected the weightier matters of the law. They think they can excuse rejecting Christ, but that being unable to offer animal sacrifices is still somehow forgiven because of the loss of the old temple.

Steven said in Acts:
Acts 7:51 Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye.

Yes back in Deuteronomy, one of the first things they were supposed to do:
Deuteronomy 10:16 Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiffnecked.

Hebrews- 10 'there is no more sacrifice for sin' is what this is about. It's not a verse about losing eternal life.. but saying to the Hebrews they can't go back to animal sacrifices to please God.
