It just occurred to me yesterday that Jesus was also the substitute for us as a sin offering and wouldn't He have mentioned that too? I looked at the list on the link but don't see that. After a second look, it seems these are sayings of Jesus when He was here as a man. Guess I need to look elsewhere about Him being our substitute and also as our substitute He 'accepted' all our sins. Hard to Comprehend.

Of course it does. And what God the Father and God the Holy Spirit say about Him also matters. He did say that He is the Bread of Life. But He also said many more things about Himself. So they should all be spelled out in this thread.

“For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.”
‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭17:11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“for this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭26:28‬ ‭

“For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭15:3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭53:4-6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness:

by whose stripes ye were healed. For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.”
‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭2:24-25‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: and he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for our's only, but also for the sins of the whole world.”
‭‭1 John‬ ‭2:1-2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The whole Bible talks about it including Jesus

“For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭10:45‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Amen , notice what he says of himself always goes back to what e law and prophets said of him behind a veil ? What I mean is

The figure of the bread from heaven , the manna given to the children of Israel through Moses in the desert

“And when the children of Israel saw it, they said one to another, It is manna: for they wist not what it was. And Moses said unto them, This is the bread which the LORD hath given you to eat.”
‭‭Exodus‬ ‭16:15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

when Jesus came he was using that figure to express important truth about himself in that figure of God providing life giving food from heaven for the people

“Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.

…Our fathers did eat manna in the desert; as it is written, He gave them bread from heaven to eat.

(that account is a prophetic figure of this )

Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven. For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world. And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.”
‭‭John‬ ‭6:29, 31-33, 35‬ ‭KJV‬‬

There’s always deep ot meaning in what Jesus said of himself they were promising him beforehand

Another example from the prophets

Behold, the Lord GOD will come with strong hand, and his arm shall rule for him: behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him. He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭40:10-11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine. As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep. And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.”
‭‭John‬ ‭10:14-16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

When he’s saying things about himself he’s hearkening back to prophecy and the law to explain that he’s the one they we’re talking about all along

to Moses and the children of Israel was given manna that fell from heaven because they needed sustenance. It’s a figure of Christ who came to give us life and sustain us with our “daily bread “

another reference to manna which fell daily and they gathered what they needed and ate daily and the bread kept them alive for a time when they needed it

The things Jesus says about himself opens up the mind to the Bible’s message

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”
‭‭John‬ ‭1:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND Lord OF LORDS.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭19:13, 16‬ ‭

Crumbs come from bread.
Amen When bread is broken apart , it creates crumbs they are of the bread that’s broken

“I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.”
‭‭John‬ ‭6:51‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.

And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; for this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭26:26-28‬ ‭

It’s the reason we take communion by faith

“For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread: and when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.

After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.

For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come.

Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.

But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭11:23-29‬ ‭KJV‬‬

It’s also like our Passover feast when the body and blood of a spotless lamb saved them from death in the ot

Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us: therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭5:7-8‬ ‭

When bread is broken it creates the crumbs if it’s not broken there’s never going to be crumbs

This article failed to show that Jesus also said that He is GOD. That He is "I AM". And "I AM" was the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. This revelation is critical, since Christ said that if you do not believe that He is "I AM" you will die in your sins. He cannot be any of those other things unless Jesus is firstly God manifest in the flesh (1 Tim 3:16 KJB only).

There are times when Jesus is heard speaking in the first person in the Old Testament. The author of the epistle to the Hebrews mentioned one of those times here:

Hebrews 10
4For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins. 5Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me: 6In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure. 7Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God. 8Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law; 9Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second. 10By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

The "he" and "me" of verse 5 are Jesus. So are the "I" and "me" in verse 7. This is actually a direct quote from Psalm 40:6 in the Septuagint or in the Greek translation of the Old Testament.

https://studybible.info/interlinear/Psalms 40:6

Here, Jesus is heard speaking in the first person, and he declares that God prepared a body for him that was going to be offered or sacrificed in the stead of the Old Testament burnt offerings and sacrifices that God had no real pleasure in. Those sacrifices merely foreshadowed Christ's sacrifice which was to come, and it is only through this sacrifice that we can truly be sanctified or set apart unto God.

There were also times when "the Word of God" (or "the Word of the LORD")-- Jesus -- came and spoke to men. Here is one example where "Word" should have been capitalized, since Abram recognized the Word as "the LORD God": After these things the Word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I AM thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward. And Abram said, Lord GOD, what wilt thou give me, seeing I go childless, and the steward of my house is this Eliezer of Damascus? (Gen 15:1,2) Jesus is "the Word of God", "I AM", and "the Lord GOD".

Nope, the KJV always gets it right. It is God the Father speaking. Here's another example:

Jonah
1 Now the word of the Lord came unto Jonah the son of Amittai, saying,
2 Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry against it; for their wickedness is come up before me.
