Howdy eph and welcome to the forum.

I don't think there is any one virtue that is more important than any other. The important thing is that they come from the right motivation. The Pharisees were very virtuous, but it was all for nothing.

I don't think there is any one scripture that is most important. You got to have them all, much as you have to have all the ingredients to make a pan of brownies. You can't make brownies without sugar, neither can you make them without cocoa or flour. Of course you can make something similar with artificial sweetener, carob and nut flours, but it's just not the same.

1 Corinthians 13 makes the case that love is the greatest virtue.

Any suggestions for ways to practice Christian prayer and meditation?
Especially on the life, death, and resurrection of our savior? Thanks

Nothing so beautifully adorns the Christian as does humility. Evidently you have to bow low to put on such a garment and high dressing seems all the rage. Nevertheless, it's worth the extra time to put on.
Jesus wept is the most important verse when you are memorizing scripture. It is easily memorized and builds confidence to attempt 1 Thessalonians 5:16...Rejoice always.

Can I ask what your idea of prayer is? I'm only asking because I do want to help. As far as meditation goes, that is just a thoughtful consideration of the things of God. It is best done in solitude and in a place not subject to interruptions.
The best way to prepare is to fill your thoughts with scripture in whatever way is easiest to you and allow the Holy Spirit to guide and expand those thoughts to fuller understanding.
In one sense, this is what gives knowledge its understanding and wisdom. Meditation is an invaluable tool to the Christian to enable one to enter God's presence and know Him more fully. It is too little employed by Christians.

I prefer meditation or mental prayer on the subject of the suffering and passion of Jesus

Don't forget to meditate on His joy, also :)

Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured
the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:2

Most important virtue? I would say empathy
Most important scripture? I don't think I can answer that question because it's entirely subjective

Num 21: 8 And the Lord said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live.

John 3:14
And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:

John 12:32
And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.

Meditation on the passion sufferings and death of Christ produces fruits of repentance and true sorrow for sin. Thanks

Matthew 26:41
Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
Pray, ask and you shall receive.
Watch over you’re heart and at the first sign in f temptation please the blood of Jesus to quench the fire darts of the enemy, and gain the victory!

GOP? Is that you?

If it's not you, that bump post is eerily similar to the posts he would use to bump his threads.
