My friend Alvin was one of my students. Not much taller than Paul Simon, but a stocky Filipino build that enjoyed Arnis..
He's a good guy. The song reminds me that he didn't need a body guard. He was attacked by three thugs at a bowling alley.
All I'll say on a public forum is that they realized that it was a mistake. 😄

That's not me in the video, but it reminds me of when he would use those techniques, a bunch more and run me through a couple dozen different transitions as a demonstration partner at his clinic/ camp. It was called The Dance of Pain.

He had implemented Modern Arnis in the schools for a physical fitness program and to revive the historical culture while Presas taught there. When the government changed, there was a price out on his head and he had to leave to go to America. One of the generals took over his Philippine organizations at that point.
