I've known of this guy's books. They're stupid and they play upon the myth of the U.S. being a Christian nation.

Nowhere, in the Constitution or in the law of the United States, can I find a covenant relationship between the nation of the United States and God. A nation cannot abandon what they've never obtained and God cannot abandon what He's never possessed.

In fact, U.S. law makes it quite clear that the people are the sovereign over the nation. This is nowhere near the model of the kingdom of God.
It is not so much that it is on the books, but that the national leaders have at many times called public prayers and fasting to the Living GOD.
The People, in times past, have declared this to be a Christian Nation and a "Nation under GOD" and even approved to put it on the dollar bill.
I believe that when a person declares themselves to be a Christian or belonging to the Living GOD that they will come under His Devine justice. Just as this nation has proved.
We are seeing His longsuffering right now upon those that have not noticed the shaking He has already brought, but it will get more intense.
Time will tell if this man, Jonathan Cahn, is a true prophet...

God covenanted with the nation of Israel. We know it as the old covenant. The new covenant is not with a nation. It is with individual believers.
We can make dedications and vows to God, but we cannot make a covenant with God.

You should read Nehemiah Chapter 9 but at the end of the Chapter it is the Israelites who MAKES the Covenant with God.

When you read it, notice a few things. One they arent making a covenant with God and God does not ratify it. In the Hebrew the word for covenant doesnt even appear. (The word covenant is italicized). What they are doing is making a promise or taking an oath to follow the already existing covenant with God. To obey the law. They are not establishing any new covenant with God.

But they took it upon themselves to recall and make the promise to obey what those in the wilderness chose not to.

Lcms lutherans do not marry queers. Neither do wisconsin synod. They have renounced the elcamany times.

Real Lutherans, do not support gay marriage, or pastors. We dont even have female pastors. Real Lutherans are very conservative. The elca was a faction that rose up in the church and tried to destroy the church but were split off and disavowed by all other lutherans. It really is insulting that when ever Lutherans are brought up we are associated with those heretics. They are imposters.

It's a real shame then how all groups of Lutheran are bunched together like you're in agreement with all idealisms.

God has people everywhere that have not bowed the knee.

The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

Thank you for posting these images, though they don't show up in this reply. From what I can tell, they came from here: https://juicyecumenism.com/2020/11/11/the-mayflower-compact-a-covenant-with-god/ What you have posted is the Mayflower Compact which Henry Hudson had no part of.

The Mayflower Compact was in a lot of ways the forerunner to the system of democracy that later informed the Constitution and Bill of Rights; but I don't really see where it has anything to do with a special covenant between God and the United States. The Pilgrims felt as long as they honored the Lord He would bless their undertaking; everything they did was in His name and for His glory. However, the Mayflower Compact was a covenant between themselves for God's glory, not a covenant with God Himself.

The idea that the US is in a covenant relationship with God is a good way to sell books and TV programs but it doesn't have any basis in reality.

England didn't "own" anything. They came to America and started stetting up colonies and claiming the land for themselves; however, the Native Americans were here for thousands of years before England ever dreamed of coming here.

Cahn says in The Mystery of the Shemitah, p. 57:

"Most would find it surprising to learn that America was consciously, intentionally, and specifically founded and formed after the pattern of ancient Israel. Its founders saw it as a new Israel, the Israel of the New World. It was their exodus from Europe like the Hebrew exodus from Egypt. Yes, I find it surprising indeed; if not laughable. Cahn doesn't provide any references about where he got this information so apparently we're supposed to just take his word for it. Frankly, this seems like the way urban legends are created.

And had all the Europeans come with the right (and respectful) attitude that those living on the North America continent were human beings, and therefore they had prior claims on the land, a lot of bloodshed could have been avoided.

The Pilgrims were helped to survive by the Indians, and as genuine Christians, they treated the Natives with respect. But most others did not do so. The general European presumption was that any explorer or navigator who discovered new land had a right to simply plant the flag of his king (or queen) and claim that territory as though it was free for the taking.

On the other hand, the various indigenous tribes (and there were many) were generally nomadic and did not lay claim to land as did the Europeans. By the same token, the Federal governments had no right to make treaties and then simply break them, following which they drove the Natives on to worthless reservations while totally wiping out the buffalo.

It is also worth noting that the same Abraham Lincoln who was willing to shed blood to abolish slavery (and hundreds of thousands died for nothing) was AT THE SAME TIME enslaving the Natives and killing them off. Did any Southerners point out this hypocrisy to him?

Getting back to the main topic, America (or the United States of America) had no covenant with God. At the same time the Constitution did have its roots in Christianity: We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness...
