Cahn says in The Mystery of the Shemitah, p. 57:

"Most would find it surprising to learn that America was consciously, intentionally, and specifically founded and formed after the pattern of ancient Israel. Its founders saw it as a new Israel, the Israel of the New World. It was their exodus from Europe like the Hebrew exodus from Egypt. The New World was their new promised land, and the Massachusetts Bay Colony was their New Jerusalem.

As for the legal system of the new American commonwealth, the Puritans sought to incorporate the Law of Moses. They instituted a day of rest after the pattern of the Hebrew Sabbath. And the American holiday, Thanksgiving, was formed after the pattern of the Hebrew Sukkot, the Feast of Tabernacles."

Yes, I find it surprising indeed; if not laughable. Cahn doesn't provide any references about where he got this information so apparently we're supposed to just take his word for it. Frankly, this seems like the way urban legends are created.
Abraham made a covenant with GOD. In fact it was a pagan ritual walking among dead animals is hardly a holy site.
God honored it...in fact he out lasted Abraham in ceremony.

Jesus said...to beleive and obey...is this not a covenant? A oath to a king.

Apparently something happened to where we have the name God on our currency, on our halls of justice the 10 commandments, testifying by the hand on the bible, old testament scripture in our founding declaration papers.
Why would we have these things that still remain today if it was not from the beginning?

God is the covenant keeper.....man will fail...in fact this is why JESUS said to not swear a oath....we cant keep it, but GOD can.....Praise his name. ...Lesson learned. Trust not in man but in GOD. Isnt that what faith is all about?

Before 1948 you would of cursed the jews, you would of said that they killed the son of GOD and should be destroyed.
Look they have no home they broke their covenant they are no more. In fact this message was preached in the pulpits, churches all over. But then God who had promised to restore began regathering which is still contested by some.

Your problem is with cahn himself. To you and others he seems to be another mega church prosperity preacher/teacher/rabbi. So noted but you refuse to here what he is saying and what he's not saying.
Judging him by the company he keeps...did not JESUS sit with sinners?

If you want to be part of Jewish roots fine, but don't try to sell it to me.

How the Blessings of Abraham Came to the United States
by Tim Groves
How did the United States become such a prominent nation? What made America great? How can we trace her roots? Did the blessings of Abraham help?

The United States has been the most materially blessed single nation in history. Though few have recognized it, America’s rise to superpower status started with one man’s faithfulness to God.

Some 4,000 years ago God called a man named Abram (whose name God later changed to Abraham). God told Abram to leave his present country and go where He would lead him. God promised Abram that if he obeyed, He would cause many nations and kings to come from his lineage (Genesis 17:1-6).

Abraham continued to be faithful to God, and when Abraham passed the supreme test of being willing to sacrifice his son, God made an unconditional promise that his descendants would be innumerable and have world dominance (Genesis 22:16-18). The blessings of Abraham were then passed down to his descendants.

Blessings of Abraham included promises of national greatness
This birthright promise was passed down to Abraham’s son Isaac, then to Isaac’s son Jacob, and then to Jacob’s son Joseph.

Joseph had two sons while he was in Egypt, Ephraim and Manasseh. Just before Jacob died, he adopted these two grandchildren and, being guided by God, made them inheritors of his birthright promise (Genesis 48:13-16).

Jacob was also inspired by God to give a prophecy about his two grandchildren. He said that Ephraim would become a multitude of nations and Manasseh would be a great single nation (Genesis 48:19). Jacob foretold that in the last days the descendants of Ephraim and Manasseh would spread (Genesis 49:1, 22). They would prevail in wars because God would be with them (verses 23-24). And they would also inherit great natural resources (verses 25-26)—all part of the blessings of Abraham.

Ancient Israel failed to receive the full birthright promise
God wanted to give ancient Israel national greatness. When He made the covenant with the 12 tribes of Israel in the wilderness, He told them they would become great if they obeyed Him.

We know that Israel did not obey God; and eventually 10 of the tribes, including Ephraim and Manasseh, went into captivity to Assyria in 721-718 B.C. From this point forward, they were scattered and seemed to disappear from the historical records.

What became of God’s promises to give the blessings of Abraham to his descendants? What became of God’s promises to give the blessings of Abraham to his descendants? Many Christians understand that the promise of salvation through Abraham’s Seed was fulfilled in Jesus Christ (Galatians 3:16). But what of the physical birthright promises? If we believe that God fulfills all His promises, we will look for a company of nations and a powerful single nation who have been blessed by God.

Where did the Israelites go?
Even though Israel was scattered, God said He would keep and preserve them (Amos 9:9). The Bible tells us in several passages, including Isaiah 49:12, that the Israelites migrated toward the northwest and to the “isles afar off” (Jeremiah 31:10). The British Isles are northwest of their previous homeland and the location of their captivity in Assyria.

Is it just a coincidence that the word British resembles two Hebrew words “beriyth-iysh,” which mean “covenant man”? The Bible repeatedly refers to the covenant (agreement) God made with Israel (Exodus 19:5; Deuteronomy 4:13).

God’s people would also be known by Isaac’s name. Americans and Britons are known as Anglo-Saxons. “Saxons” is simply a derivation of “Isaac’s sons.”

The United States and Britain become world powers
Before 1800, both America and Britain were regional powers. But shortly after 1800, both suddenly received many blessings. First Britain then the United States became world-leading superpowers.

In 1803 the United States acquired the Louisiana Purchase, which nearly doubled the size of the country. Britain’s empire suddenly spread around the globe, and the sun never set on her company of nations. At their peak, the United States and Britain came into possession of more than two-thirds of the world’s resources and wealth. God fulfilled the biblical promises to provide the blessings of Abraham to his physical descendants.

So what does it all mean?
There are many more biblical and historical clues that the United States and Britain (and the British “multitude of nations” including Australia, Canada and New Zealand) are indeed the descendants of ancient Israel.

If you're Jewish and want to do that fine. I'm a Gentile and He's also my Savior. It would be ridiculous for me to pretend I'm Jewish.

@The_Watchers_2017

Thank you for posting these images, though they don't show up in this reply. From what I can tell, they came from here: https://juicyecumenism.com/2020/11/11/the-mayflower-compact-a-covenant-with-god/ What you have posted is the Mayflower Compact which Henry Hudson had no part of.

The Mayflower Compact was in a lot of ways the forerunner to the system of democracy that later informed the Constitution and Bill of Rights; but I don't really see where it has anything to do with a special covenant between God and the United States. The Pilgrims felt as long as they honored the Lord He would bless their undertaking; everything they did was in His name and for His glory. However, the Mayflower Compact was a covenant between themselves for God's glory, not a covenant with God Himself.

The idea that the US is in a covenant relationship with God is a good way to sell books and TV programs but it doesn't have any basis in reality.
I went back and did a thorough study of why Henry Hudson was mentioned and Cahn led that Event to this Event which took place 19 years later.

It was John Winthrop who made the actual Covenant and here it is in my attachment:

England didn't "own" anything. They came to America and started stetting up colonies and claiming the land for themselves; however, the Native Americans were here for thousands of years before England ever dreamed of coming here.
I am discussing when established world powers decided to lay claim on this land, not about the 5,000 years history of when it was unknown.

I think the point of contention is whether man can unilaterally decide to covenant with God.
Even if man can, why would God enter into a covenant with a nation that doesn't exist anymore?

Maybe you should consider the 5,000 of history when it was "unknown."

But my point from word go was Cahn was not discussing that the Government of the USA made a covenant with God.

Read page one and that's the ASSUMPTION BEING MADE.

I merely corrected that false idealism by pointing out who Cahn was really talking about.

Gotcha. My mistake. Thanks for explaining.
