I never really knew if she was Christian because of that one song I know of hers (Baby baby) and of her progressive stance on gay marriage....

Oh no, not THIS again...

Do we really have to keep slamming Amy Grant over and over? Can't we at least find someone else to put down once in a while?

Maybe misled? I'm not saying she's not a Christian, but I would question her depth and maturity of faith if she believes in sodomy.

Matthew 13:7 And some [seed] fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them:

Matthew 13:22 He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.

If she is advocating homosexuality and transgenderism, it's to see how she knows Jesus.

I always get her confused with THIS Grant:

She started out as a contemporary Christian singer but crossed over into mainstream. It's pretty sobering to see someone like here joining the apostacy. Is she a Christian? My opinion: Doubtful.

But about your original question: Is she leading Christians astray? Not just Christians, she's leading a lot of people away from the true gospel.

That's why it's important to always remember to keep our eyes on God and not on man/woman.

I'd not say one song is really a measure of someone's faith. There was nothing bad in that song, it was just a generic pop love song.
Actually the entire album contained nothing Christian. To me the thing that first threw me off about her was not that album but her behavior in her personal life around that time. Leaving and divorcing her Christian husband children to marry another man who was not a believer and saying it was what God wanted because they were "soul mates". That, more, spoke volumes than a song or album with no bad messages.

My take?
If they are Christian then it serves them right for following (as a devotee) anyone else but Jesus Christ. (some lessons come hard)

I've been on this forum for a few years. I've not seen Amy Grant mentioned. I have one of her CD's. It's OK. She's not the only Christian who is too close to the world. She happens to be famous. Cliff Richards agrees with gay marriage, a number of denominations approve as do pastors within other denominations.

Christians should not be swayed by how great an individual's talent, looks, success or riches. God's word tells it like it is. Jesus is Lord, not Kenny Rogers or David Phelp. Or even Amy Grant. We all need to heed the warning,

2 Peter 2:1

"Now there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them— bringing swift destruction on themselves. Many will follow in their depravity, and because of them the way of truth will be defamed.…"

I'm not saying that Amy Grant is a false prophet. She is promoting a false teaching.

She was bashed just a few weeks ago. I think it was in the Music Forum.
Ah, not a forum I frequent as a rule. I am musical, I play guitar and we sing at home. However, too much so-called "worship" is simply feel good for the congregation with banal and repetitive lyrics. I'm not interested in secular music much either.

I'm not sure that I would say that calling out someone for promoting unbiblical principles is "bashing". If she is willing to put her views out there, she needs to be willing to cop the criticism that may arise. No doubt she is happy to accept the plaudits of the homosexual community. I wonder what excuse she will offer to God when she has to account for her life.

I wouldnt say singers really lead their fans astray unless that fan is actually worshipping them...

But most fans keep a respectful distance, they arent all like Michael Jackson?! I dont know, does Amy Grant have groupies? Can you be a groupie of a CCM artist?
