Does it actually give God glory if you confess that Jesus is less than being God.
This should make it easy: all who believe Jesus is God just write it out.

I have ZERO problem saying Jesus Christ is God.

Jesus literally resurrected. Baptism is required to have a resurrection like Jesus. This is very plain.

John said he needs to be baptized by Jesus and Jesus said let it be so. Water baptism is righteousness.

Do you know what the word logos means? Did you know John 1 is a parallel of Genesis 1 where God created things with spoken words?

If someone follows the words of the Bible

You put words in Jesus' mouth and claim it was written when it was not.

Jesus did not say baptism was righteousness. It is nowhere in that verse you quoted, and nowhere else in Scripture either.

Jesus allowed Himself to be baptized to fulfill all righteousness. He did not say baptism is righteousness.

What was necessary to fulfill righteousness was obedience. Jesus was under the law. He had to obey every aspect of it.
We being buried with Christ share in His perfect obedience and thus share in His perfect righteousness.
People have 2 choices. They can present themselves to God in their own merit or be presented to God by Christ.
One has the most unfortunate and horrible of results. The other the most desirable and delightful.
Baptism is an outward act of obedience and faith to represent what has become true of us inwardly.
