I'm investigating batteries for renewable energy

I asked God about this and He directed me to 2 Chronicles 16:2

All I got from this is maybe batteries can be made from silver and gold. They would last a long time then.
Instead of using gold for jewellery and silver for cutlery and dinnerware maybe they could all be turned into batteries.

What do you think? Can be done?

Gold and silver are good electrical conductors, but they stink at storing energy.

There's a lot of stuff that works in a laboratory but will not work outside of it.

Real world application and in a production setting is likely going to be a failure.

They can make a "forever" battery that will last for 10,000 years involving nuclear waste and lab grown blue diamonds. The nuclear waste providing the energy source which converts to electrical energy....it really isn't a battery but a energy producer.

But the practical application is not going to work out at all.

Battery tech today is reliant upon what are termed "rare earth" minerals....compounds that are highly messy to refine.

And we could starve to death waiting for the next best thing. Coal, Natural gas, and petroleum are currently our largest sources of energy. Solar, nuclear, and other renewables rate fairly low...but together make a significant contribution.

Batteries store electrical power. They don't generate it.

I think a silver / gold combination could work with the right electolyte

and the silver and gold can be recovered from scrapped computers/jewelery/plates/phones

so recycled from other sources.

Bought some spare batteries for my radio slash sound machine in case the main power cuts out. And also cos you cant always find a plug.

I find am always charging my phone and ipad. And now even have en electric toothbrush but the manual one works just as well.

I am sure there are manual hand held crank operated radios.

I wonder how you can safely dispose of dead batteries that you cant charge anymore though.

I am sure unwanted and broken gold jewellery and silverware could be recycled and used to make long lasting batteries. People have just got to have a go and do it right?
