New Age Companion

They are saying the new androids are so perfected they can not be identified visually. Which brings me to the issue that was brought to me.
A close friend that is unhappy and has been alone for years, no dating etc. He asked me if it is wrong for him to purchase a companion android that can even hold discussions with his tax returns.
I do not honestly know how to tackle this question from a Biblical standpoint.

The only portion of scripture that comes to my mind at the moment is this one:

Revelation 13

11And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. 12And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. 13And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, 14And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live. 15And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.

I know that a lot of different people have a lot of different ideas as to what this image of the beast might be, but I read some articles, not too long ago, about a push for a global digitized currency that would be overseen by AI or artificial intelligence. Personally, I believe that this is what all of these robots, androids, humanoids, and artificial intelligences are conditioning people to embrace one day.

Men used to talk to stone statues, wooden images, golden idols. Some were even mechanically inclined to move.

Why not talk to God? Why turn to created matter that has no intelligence, when the God of all intelligence is waiting to hear from us?

The New Androids are not actually perfected, and will never be. There is always the uncanny valley. AI is not artificial intelligence, it is artificial ignorance.

This is the thing, men will not care if it is real. They are being dumbed down to not care for reality.

It is impossible to have genuine fellowship with a non sentient bot. God created us initially for Himself. Androids are no better than drugs or alcohol, an escape that does not resolve the inner problem of mankind.

Man is fundamentally spirit. Androids are at best a simulation of a human. You may fly an aircraft on your computer. It's no substitute for the real thing. And a simulator will get you nowhere. You'll be in the exact same place when you quit as when you started.

New androids? Selling them in an android shop are they? Or must they be ordered online?

Honestly, I've seen internet hype about androids but nothing about them being used in reality by everyday people.
If they exist for sale, they must be expensive.

The best biblical answer is found in Genesis 2:18: And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.

God made women to be helpers and companions for men -- to complement men. So if this person wants to follow God's directive then what he should do immediately is find himself a good, godly wife. Which means that he has to break out of his shell and be a man. To avoid dating is a form of cowardice. You can break this to him gently but truth is truth.

Machines are not companions, and they are in fact detrimental to the mental health of people. All these people fiddling with their iPhones today have been taken captive by Satan indirectly. Pastors even want to fiddle with iPhones instead of opening the Bible and preaching the Word of God.

Let your friend know that theses are signs of end times.
Jesus pointed to the days of noah...here we read that beings had left there first estate....
Artificial intelligence could be implied here at some level.

It's a bad idea. Technology is a big part of the reason the world's in the state it's in. Human life has become devalued. I know we're stuck with technology but why add to the problem? Biblically, the answer is to love God and your neighbor. I'm alone most of the time but I'm perfectly content because of my relationship with God. If I want companionship I seek it out among other humans, not machines or robots. To me there's something inherently evil about elevating machines over people.

I always think that "they" are also "them"... like synonyms, okay?
Therefore, They must be Them, and the only real reference to Them that I know of is Them! (<-- click that)

The Dilemma of Non-Facts:

1.) My point was about the claim of the OP.

2.) The OP claimed that someone has said there are androids indistinguishable from humans.

3.) I've never heard of any such thing.

4.) Therefore, before we put huge effort into discussing the dilemmas created by this FACT...

Therefore, I must honor our trans friends for their extraordinary achievement...
transitioning into a thing when nobody even knows what that thing is.

How do they do it?
If I were to transition into an aardvark, or a junebug, or a chocolate chip cookie, I'd first have to know what those things were... first in order to know WHAT to turn myself into, and then later in order to RECOGNIZE whether the transition was a success.
But trans people can transition into a specific thing, without having any idea what that thing is.
It's simply amazing.

They are truly them that we expect them to be. I was trying to be broad in order to get the post up, this is my 3rd attempt so I’m trying to be careful how I describe how he asked me and words he used to describe it. He describes the androids as realistic and through photos I would agree. He is looking at one called Harmon. I could probably find a YouTube video of her but once again she is a companion Android. If you search them, most videos are over a year old, newer dolls are more advanced but the androids who are being conducted behind curtains.

I’m not sure how to edit my post from this device but I was saying the behind closed doors you would find scary advanced.
